Segmentation of images with leaves of woody species
Valchová, Ivana ; Suk, Tomáš (advisor) ; Blažek, Jan (referee)
The thesis focuses on segmentation of images with leaves of woody species. The main aim was to investigate existing image segmentation methods, choose suitable method for given data and implement it. Inputs are scanned leaves and photographs of various quality. The thesis summarizes the general methods of image segmentation and describes algorithm that gives us the best results. Based on the histogram, the algorithm decides whether the input is of sufficient quality and can be segmented by Otsu algorithm or is not and should be segmented using GrowCut algorithm. Next, the image is improved by morphological closing and holes filling. Finally, only the largest object is left. Results are illustrated using generated output images. People tracking in sparse crowd using multiple cameras
Zimmermann, Jan ; Hlaváč, Václav (advisor) ; Suk, Tomáš (referee)
In this thesis, we introduce a new algorithm for tracking of multiple people in image sequences from surveillance cameras. The algorithm handle with trustworthiness in similarity measure of human gures in images. All decisions are made as trustworthily as possible. The algorithm nds out the number of people in the scene autonomously. It deals with potential temporary occlusions of people in image. The tracking algorithm does not suffer from the problem of human model initialization as some other methods do. The implementation of our algorithm is a part of this thesis. This implementation has veri ed the characteristics of the algorithm. We have used two different methods for the image segmentation. Both method prove successful in different conditions. We have used a color information to compare the visual similarity. Suitable future extensions are suggested at the end of this thesis.
Segmentation of images with leaves of woody species
Valchová, Ivana ; Suk, Tomáš (advisor) ; Křivánek, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis focuses on segmentation of images with leaves of woody species. The aim was to investigate existing image segmentation methods, choose suitable method for given data and implement it. The chosen method should segment existing datasets, photographs from cameras as well as photographs from lower-quality mobile phones. Inputs are scanned leaves and photographs of various quality. The thesis summarizes the general methods of image segmentation and describes own algorithm that gives us the best results. Extrakce fototextur pro 3D fotometrickou rekonstrukci
Peroutková, Hedvika ; Buriánek, Jan (advisor) ; Suk, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the problem of creating textures from photographs, especially for a computer model of buildings. The fact that images are taken from diff erent views and border points of a texture are known is supposed in this thesis. Within the frame of this thesis a system for texture extraction from photographs, searching correspondences in textures and merging textures from di erent views to the fi nal high quality texture suitable for a given model was developed. The problem of registration textures obtained from di fferent images is solved both by feature method based on SIFT descriptors and by method arisen from a deformation model. The implemented methods are also applicable for texturing of huge models in suffi cient quality. We restrict our task to texturing 3D surface models built up from planar faces.
Discrete Surface Fairing
Matýsková, Martina ; Kostková, Jana (advisor) ; Suk, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis proposes a new method for fairing of surfaces, which are represented by a triangulated mesh. Motivation for our task is a 3D reconstruction, which results in a triangulated mesh. Such mesh is typically corrupted by noise (due to data and processing inaccuracy), which is required to be faired out. We solve the problem on a discrete surface, where two criteria for optimization are defined: surface curvature and non-uniformity. The curvature deals with surface smoothness, while the non-uniformity with surface regularity. The problem of fairing is solved by a discrete diffusion. Since our aim is to fair surfaces with boundaries, first we describe the fairing of curves, then fairing of closed urfaces, and finally fairing of surfaces with boundary (which is in fact a combination of the former ones). We have tested the algorithm's performance on synthetic as well as real data with good results. The experiments showed that our proposed algorithm is robust, stable and does not shrink an object, while its main surface characteristics are preserved.
Identification of sport manager's role and creation of the type position of a sport manager in the Czech Republic
Suk, Tomáš ; Ruda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Janák, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Identification of sport manager's role and creation of the type position of a sport manager in the Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify the profile of a sport manager, which is demanded by Czech labour market and creation of the type positon of a "sport manager". The resulting profile of the sport mnager should help future sport managers to better prepare for the requierements and demands of the labour market. Methods: In the thesis method of qualitative content analysis was used. Via content analysis recruiting advertisements were analysed. Results: The bachelor thesis achieved its goal, it has been found what requirements are demanded from sport managers at labour market. The type position of a "sport manager" was created on bases of the analysis. Stereo reconstruction from wide-angle images
Heller, Jan ; Pajdla, Tomáš (advisor) ; Suk, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis presents rectification methods of an omnidirectional stereo pair. Several methods are developed and a novel rectification method called stereographic rectification is introduced. In the second part of the thesis, a method of 3D reconstruction from a stereo pair rectified using an arbitrary method of the adduced methods is presented. Further, a method of judging the accuracy of an essential matrix based on the stereographic rectification is devised. At the end of the thesis, several examples of image pairs rectified by OmniRect Matlab toolbox developed as a part of this work, are shown.
