The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on home education of second grade primary school pupils

The Master's thesis is based on a topical subject, which is education and distance learning at a time when schooling in the Czech Republic was restricted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The thesis specifically focuses on upper primary school pupils who have often had to be educated individually at home through distance education. The theoretical part of the introduction focuses on second grade students and their developmental specificities. It then focuses on general information regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and it is impact on the school environment, the differences between teaching in a regular school setting and teaching during a pandemic. Then also on distance education as such and learning with the help of modern, simultaneously used technologies, advantages and disadvantages of distance education. The research section includes research on the influence of home preparation of upper primary school students on home-based distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim is to find out under what conditions, in what environment and whether the majority of pupils are capable of independent school preparation without school-based support.
Exploitation of Modern Communication Technologies in the Teaching of a Foreign Language

1 Abstract The thesis attempts to track changes that occur in foreign language teaching due to the onset of new technologies and the related use of new methods and forms of teaching. The author deals with the possibilities of using ICT in teaching German language, development of language skills and listening comprehension, based on many years of experience in designing educational online courses, and their application in the teaching of the German language. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical foundations of eLearning and description of on-line courses, the empirical part is devoted to the study of the effectiveness of these courses. The aim of this research was to determine how the use of ICT is reflected in the students' results and whether the teaching with the ICT support is more, or at least as effective as face-to- face teaching. The first online German language courses at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Králové already started in 2002. These online courses have been from the beginning primarily meant as supplementary courses, which should serve to streamline the study and home preparation for lessons and to simplify and improve the preparation of students for credits and exam. Analysis of effective implementations of e-learning into employee training in small and medium enterprises

The presented dissertation thesis deals with the topic of e-learning, specifically aiming at employee training in small and medium sized enterprises as seen from the andragogical point of view. Its main focus is to identify the factors influencing the effectiveness of e-learning meant for employees in small and medium sized enterprises and then to formulate recommendations how to make e-learning an effective to01 in adu1t education. The theoretical part focuses on defining some basic terms relating to the relevant problems. Terms as e-learning, its forms, advantages and disadvantages are defined here. Special attention is paid to the theoretical background of e-learning and here the term of e-1earning effectiveness is clarified as well. The theoretical part also contains definitions of such terms as small and medium sized enterprises, the characteristics of the existing situation and the attitude of small and medium sized enterprises to employee training and the description of how the method of e-learning is applied in small and medium-sized enterprises. Thesis The Utilization of eLearning at Faculty of Informatics and Management UHK deals with ICT potential especially eLearning one that could be utilised in the process of education at university level. The work includes a case study "Survey of Attitudes of Academic Teachers and Students at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Králové".
