Home birth from a women's point of view
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor's thesis deals with the view of women on births in the home environment and their own experiences with home births. The theoretical part characterizes the issue of home births by their advantages, disadvantages, complications, and most importantly, the role of the midwife during birth and in the period after birth in the home environment. Additionally, the thesis explains the legislative framework for home births in the legislative Czech Republic. The practical part of the bachelor thesis defines two goals. The first one was to find out what are the most common reasons for women's choice to give birth at home and the second goal was to find out how women prepared for this birth. The research investigation was carried out by qualitative research method. Moreover, the practical part of the bachelor's thesis uses qualitative research using semi-structured interviews with women who had at least one planned birth at home. The participants were obtained using the snowball sampling method. The interviews with the informants took place during February and March 2024. The interviews were recorded on a dictaphone, transcribed, and then analysed using the pencil and paper method. In total, 3 main categories and 15 subcategories were created. The research shows that several reasons influenced the decision of the informants to give birth at home. Those were mainly personal negative experiences of the informants with medical personnel, incorrect approach, and communication. Others mistrusted doctors or medical professionals. The informants also mentioned the importance of preserving the naturalness of childbirth without unnecessary interventions and respecting their wishes. It is also evident from the research that women did not prepare for childbirth any more than for childbirth in a maternity hospital. A large part of the informants prepared mainly by self-study about childbirth, and they searched for information on natural birth in professional literature and on the Internet. For almost all informants, it was essential to secure a community midwife. The informants also stated that during pregnancy, they visited their midwife for regular check-ups and consulted with her about their childbirth visions. The bachelor's thesis could be a practical resource for both the lay and the professional public, and the results could be presented at conferences for midwives.

Dvořáková, Kristýna ; Bartlová, Petra (advisor) ; Zvelebilová, Pavlína (referee)
Vojta's reflex locomotion method is one of the most frequently used physiotherapy methods for children with movement disorders, which causes restriction of their movement, that most often leads to crying, which can have negative effect on the feelings of their parents (referred to as home care therapists in this thesis), who practice this method several times a day with their children. Goals: The goal of this work is to gain awarness of the opinion of home care therapists on Vojta's reflex locomotion method and to find out the influence of this method on the home care therapist's feelings, what level of instruction do home care therapists have, how children express themselves during therapy and whether these areas affect each other or the overall evaluation of Vojta's reflex locomotion method. Methods: It is an anonymous questionnaire survey, which was answered by 54 respondents. Only 50 respondents met the entry criteria. The quistions in the survey can be divided into six categories - information about the child, the home care therapist and Vojta's reflex locomotion method, Vojta's reflex locomotion method and social life of the home care therapist, Vojta's reflex locomotion method and SARS- CoV-2, the relationship between the home care therapist and physiotherapist and overall evaluation of...

Martina Hrdinová Title of diploma thesis: Optimization of a new analytical system for selected biochemical and immunochemical methods Specific requirements for validation and verification of analytical methods according to the ČSN EN ISO 15189: 2013 standard must be met by every medical laboratory. The aim of the work was to meet the requirements of verification in the introduction of a new analytical system Cobas 8000 and also to compare the results with those obtained using older analyzer Cobas 6000 in the laboratory of clinical biochemistry. For the analysis of biochemical and immunochemical methods, we used diagnostic kits from the same supplier Roche s.r.o. We determined the selected clinic-biochemical markers by the basic methods using spectrophotometry, immunoturbidimetry and electrochemiluminiscence. We used certified calibration and control material in the process of method verification. The mixed patient serum was used for the evaluation of repeatability and comparability of the methods. We evaluated the verification and repeatability of methods using Microsoft Excel software. We compared the...
Goethe's Götz von Berlichingen and Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe. A Comparative Study./Götz von Berlichingen J.W. Goetha a Ivanhoe Sira Waltera Scotta. Srovnávací studie.
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Kristýna
In this work I did a close reading and analysis of a ´storm and stress´ drama by Goethe, Götz von Berlichingen (1773), and the romantic novel by Scott, Ivanhoe (1819), comparing and contrasting themes, motifs and the use of sociohistory and significant historical figures in the adventure plots. It is possible to detect the influence of Goethe´s drama on Scott´s work since Scott had translated Goethe´s drama into English previous to writing his most famous novel. After independent reading and analysis, I secured secondary literature on the topics and consulted them for additional references about the literary relationship between these two famous authors from different nations.

Like mother, like daughter? Gender role reproduction of one and a half generation of female Armenian migrants in Czech republic
Dvořáková, Kristýna ; Bittnerová, Dana (advisor) ; Ezzeddine, Petra (referee)
Diploma thesis is focused on a social status of one and a half generation of female Armenian migrants in Czech republic. It follows processes of a negotiation of their own social position and a creation of their own self-image on basis of gender role reproduction analysis. There are two main influential factors in context with their life in the target country. First one is their family and an Armenian community who is trying to pass Armenian traditions and values to them. The other one is the major society around them. Thesis reveals how individual informants in the bicultural situation perceive traditional gender roles and the possibility of their development or change. Girl's strategies prove to what degree they are following social patterns based on their origins in comparison with the life in the target country. Despite the fact that they know and understand social patterns preserved in Czech society they are accepting and by their behaviour even proving a gender role identification in the context of their family and Armenian community. This identification coresponds with an identification of the common Armenian family because it's girl's key reference group determining all relationships. In view of the fact that the family provides full support it is recognised as an arbiter of social values....

Therefore, Local Peopl's Courts were intended to combine characteristics of both social organisation and a government authority. The thesis is based on particularities of these institutions and approaches them as a conflict zone of various fields of interest, such as government, trade unions and jurist community. The focus of this thesis was not only to describe these institutions from the points of view of the applicatory legal norm, statutory provisions, instructions of responsible authorities, orders of the communist party and the opinions of lawyers, but also to observe them as a power instrument of a totalitarian regime and a ground for procuring various concerns.
