Testing Literature: On the Form and Development of the Czech Language and Literature Graduation Test

This diploma thesis aims to map the changes in the literature component of the graduation test in the context of school legislation and curriculum documents. The focus of the thesis is a content analysis of literary-scientific questions and source texts from the graduation didactic tests from 2010 to 2020. The thesis proceeds from the introduction of the development of thinking about possible forms of teaching literature, which culminated in the creation of the framework educational programmes for grammar schools and secondary schools, through the comparison of the content of these programmes with the text of the examination requirements catalogue of the common part of the final examination, to the actual quantitative and qualitative analysis of the literature- oriented questions of the didactic tests. This analysis shows how the literature component of the tests evolved between 2010 and 2020, how individual literature knowledge and skills are tested in the test, and to what extent the tests are related to the requirements set out in the aforementioned requirements catalogue. The Analysis of school lists of literary works for oral maturity exam in the Czech language and literature

This thesis analyses reading lists composed by secondary schools in school year 2016/2017 for the purposes of common general part of maturity exam - oral exam from Czech language and literature. The thesis creates basic material for exploring the form and development of state maturity exam. Reading lists are put into context with literary theoretic conception of canon as the thesis touches upon literary science, pedagogy and didactics. The thesis proceeds from general analysis of literary canon to functions and forms of canon (school canon and maturity exam canon). Then it concentrates on documents, which were available to students taking the maturity exam. The thesis carries out research on collection of 461 secondary schools that offer studies completed by maturity exam. It is followed by presentation of obtained data, verification of its correspondence to binding criteria defined in Katalog požadavků zkoušek společné části maturitní zkoušky (document specifying requirements for common general part of maturity exam) and comparison of obtained data with available sources from school and literary background. Use of larp in secondary school education

This thesis deals with the creation of larp-based educational games intended for the secondary school literary education. The aim was to introduce larp as a possible teaching method, anchored in the existing theoretical framework and the extension of its recognition. The theoretical part defines the position of literary education and educational games, explains the key term larp and describes the process of its creation. The focus of the thesis' practical part are five educational games ranging from 1 to 2 lessons and based in Czech literary works, are presented. The games are designed to encourage pupils to reading and for development of their reading literacy. The practical outcome of this thesis is a set of materials (methodological instructions for teachers and materials for pupils) necessary for the realization of these games in teaching of literature, which are contained in the annexes. In the end of the thesis, there are comments on individual games, which bring the characteristics of the game, outline the possibilities of its use in teaching and reflect on the process of creation and testing.
Children's Literature after 2010 with the Theme of Problematic Relationships

The diploma thesis will try to outline some thematic tendencies in Czech children's literature, which was created after 2010. It will focus primarily on titles that deal with the issue of problematic relationships, more specifically on the problem of outsidership and divorce. The work will focus mainly on books that are primarily intended for children from 8-9 years. The selected titles will be analyzed, especially with regard to the implicit child reader. Furthermore, it will focus on the creation of worksheets based on samples selected from the range of selected texts.
"Literature Experience" in the Context of Institutional Education

This thesis raises the question of what represents a "reading experience" in the didactic context. It focuses on both the mapping of didactical literature that is available in the Czech environment, and on how to work with the "reading experience" during the Czech language and literature classes. It further presents specific suggestions and comments about how to work on reading of selected texts in the classroom. Primarily, the thesis focuses on education in the sixth grade of primary schools.
Popular literature and its place in secondary school

This master's thesis focuses on popular literature and its place on czech secondary schools with a research on how much this kind of literature is involved in the reading lists for the Maturita exam. Based on examples we will try to give some proposals not only for what literature lessons should look like and which questions should be answered by the students but we will also prepare worksheets for the Maturita exam where selected parts from works of popular literature will be used. As initial sources we will use basic dictionary works, guides for elementary and secondary schools, Trávníček's researches on reading and reading culture and also expert works concerning popular culture and literature for children and adolescents.
Creation of worksheets to develop reading skills for sixth grade students of particular school

This thesis deals with the process of creating a didactic material for students of the Year 7 in Czech secondary school. The thesis studies factors influencing the selection of titles and individual extracts of texts for students. It also focuses on creating tasks related to the texts. This process and its results is the outcome of the analysis of effective pedagogical documents and the number of selected readers. The aim of this thesis is to create a set of worksheets for students to help them study literature and develop their reading skills. Moreover, the worksheets should motivate students to read contemporary Czech literature for children even when out of the school. The final part of the thesis comments on each worksheet, focusing on the process of selecting individual extracts and providing possible ways of using this didactic material in lessons of literature. Man and the preschool education

Bachelor paper envisages the phenomenon of men in a pre-school education. Defines differences of gender approaches, follows up the historical changes of man as a father, logs out and evaluates acting of man as a teacher in pre-school educational facilities, deals with a theory of pre-school education and its authors. Paper is noticing enterprises of male participations and interactions with pre-school children. The project tries to define one of many ways how to bring man into pre-school teacher grade. Podnětem pro vymezení práce v dané podobě byla má nutkavá představa potřeby intergrace jednotlivých vyučovacích předmětů v rámci středoškolské výuky, spojená s představou zbytečně unikajících souvislostí při nesynchronním způsobu vyučování. Chtěla jsem se věnovat možnostem integrace jako takové, přibráním aspektu zorného úhlu literární výchovy došlo k nutnému zkonkrétnění tématu, jež se z obecné roviny přesunulo do roviny možností praktické aplikace, prezentované zde na tématu totalitní skutečnosti.
