Tchaj-ti cchüan and its use in work with seniors
Bendová, Kateřina ; Ovečka, Libor (advisor) ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (referee)
The topic of this paper is a traditional Chinese health and exercise system called Tchaj-ťi čchüan. In the first chapter I introduce the system's philosophical roots, Taoism, and its connection with social work, and, due to fundamental differences between eastern and western modes of thoughts, I seek to give context, and make understandable the thoughts of and origins of tchaj-ťi. Next I describe what tchaj-ťi means, and a bit about its history. Because Tchaj-ťi has many different schools, it is important to describe each main style, as they all comprise the totality. The following chapter is a description of various styles of Tchaj-ťi art. The fourth chapter is a human connection of its physical and spiritual dimension. Physical dimension is important as spiritual and Tchaj-ťi connects both of them so that person can develop both of them equally. The next part is a discussion of the practical usage of tchaj-ťi, in particular with seniors. The chapter following is about Taoist tchaj-ťi, and is instrumental in giving some examples of this art playing a role in social work. The last chapter concerns my personal experiences with tchaj-ťi čchüan, and observations coming from my personal involvement. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Bendová, Klára ; Dittmann, Robert (advisor) ; Rejzek, Jiří (referee)
The present study focuses on the use and retreat of simple past tenses in representatives of all versions of the Old Czech Bible translation, using the material of the first eight chapters of the Gospel of Mark, accompanied by selected pericopes from chapters 9-16, obtained by manual excerption. The study draws on the current secondary literature, which has recently focused on the transformations of the temporal system of Old Czech in various genres (J. Zdeňková) and in partial probes specifically in the biblical text proper (J. Kyseláková, H. Kreisingerová, K. Voleková). Hypotheses formulated on the basis of the secondary literature were examined using the functions of the Microsoft Excel, statistical calculators at www.socscistatistics.com and the programme R.
Porta Coeli complex - new use of selected objects
Bendová, Kateřina ; Maar, Radek (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor)
The theme of the thesis is to analyse the functional use of the whole area of the Cistercian monastery Porta Coeli in Předklášteří u Tišnova and to prepare a study based on it, which focuses on the conversion of unused buildings and the design of new functional use. The study also includes a proposal for an architectural redesign and the adaptation of the outdoor spaces in the area. The work focuses mainly on the former granary and the former sheepfold. The original buildings retain part of their external appearance but are supplemented with new window openings. A new use is proposed for the granary in the form of a hotel with accommodation and a restaurant. The sheepfold is converted into a multifunctional hall that will be used for various social events. In the vicinity of the two original buildings, a new facility is proposed to complement them. It will only contain sanitary facilities for visitors and spaces for performers. The work also includes the landscaping of the outdoor areas on the grounds. The overall aim of the work is to bring a new function to the site that can operate independently while respecting the historic and spiritual character of the monastic setting.
The truth of future contingent propositions as a logical and philosophical problem
Kolínská, Marie ; Svoboda, Vladimír (advisor) ; Bendová, Kamila (referee)
According to some logicians and philosophers, future contingent propositions pose a specific problem. Many of those who look into this problem now and those who looked into it (even hundreds) years ago, refer to Aristotle. Nevertheless not in agreement. Our aim is to give an overview of traditional and non-traditional interpretations of the part of Aristotle's work which deals with this issue. On the basis of their comparison we will try to uncover what causes the variety of readings. That will allow us to assess whether the truth of future contingent propositions really is a specific problem and what is its actual nature.

The Comparison of Selected High School Textbooks of Czech Literature from the First Half of the 20th Century
Bendová, Klára ; Merhaut, Luboš (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Ondřej (referee)
The topic of the presented thesis is a comparison of selected high school textbooks of Czech literature, which were created and used during the first half of the 20th century, in terms of sociopolitical changes (i.e. notably changes in education related to transformation of the system of government in 1918, 1938 and 1948) and changes in the discourse of Czech literary historiography (especially in view of the major literary-historical works of the period). The thesis aims to examine the extent to which the image of Czech literature presented in high school textbooks has changed with respect to the named factors and, on the contrary, to what extent continuity has been maintained within the concept of teaching literature. The thesis is therefore mainly focused on the choice of taught material, its structure, resp. interpretation in the analyzed textbooks. In the introductory (methodological) part of the thesis major literary-historical works, resp. theories of the given period (with regard to the changes of high school literary teaching in the first half of the 20th century) will be briefly introduced and selected thematically related works will be reflected. In the practical part of the thesis the comparison will be made on the basis of defined aspects.
