The Role of Action in the Perspective of Hannah Arendt's Political Philosophy in Contemporary Civil Society

For the philosopher Hannah Arendt, the term vita activa comprehends three fundamental human activities-labor, work and action. All three activities shall be part of our life and, ideally, they shall be balanced. Besides being in balance, Arendt believes that action is the most important one of them. Through action, man steps out of the loneliness which he needs for his work and enters the public realm that helps to form. There he establishes a mutual relationships with the others, negotiates, persuades and confirms his presence. But this is not possible if a man transforms himself, because of his relation to work, into the homo faber or, in the worst case, into the animal laborans. Work and expenditure take control of his life. This, together with bureaucracy, the influence of technology and mass being, increases the feeling of loneliness and insignificancy, and opens a space for violence, terror and ideology what can cause the governance of totalitarianism. If we agree that Arendt's conception of the public realm is, in the basic characteristics and on the most general level, similar to civil society from our modern viewpoint, we gain "new" realm where man can act and can gain the experience of action. ln this thesis there is described the implementation of processes on GXS Enteprise Gateway {EG). EG is based on the service oriented architecture that was created by linking webMethods environment with GXS Enteprise Server. First chapters describe business process management and tools for modeling, run and monitoring of business processes on EG platform. Next chapters describe the migration process of the customer solution to this platform. The part of this thesis is also the analysis of benefits and problems on EG platform. This master's thesis intends to think over the concept of finality and origin as approached by Martin Heidegger and Hannah Arendt in order to finally describe as both thinkers consider them as the key principles for constituting the existence. It is based on analysing Heidegger's works "Sein und Zeit", "Vom Wesen des Grundes" and "Was ist Metaphysik" (a lecture), and Arendt's works the Vita Activa, "Between Past and Future" and "Thinking and Moral Considerations" (a lecture).
Restoration of ponds in Moravia

This bachelor´s thesis is focused on the history of pond building from the begining of first settlement on the territory to the current state. In the first part is the work focused on the history of pond building generally and with available resources on the specific situation in Moravia. The second part addresses the modern pond building and fish farming in 19th and 20th century. The next section is devoted to the current state of building of the ponds and possibilities of renewal of lost ponds. In the last section is solved posibility of recovery specific area in the range of theoretical studies.
Apartments rent in Olomouc and the factors influencing them

This diploma thesis examines market rents of flats in the town of Olomouc. It probes the condition of the local real-estate flat rent market and it assesses which factors affect the price the most. That is achieved on the basis of data of realized rents gathered via questionnaire and complemented with the supply real-estate prices. The data are sorted into four categories (1+1 a 1+k, 2+1 a 2+k, 3+1 a 3+k, 4+1 a 4+k) that are mutually compared and analyzed with textual, table and graphic output. In the theoretical part of this work, the research is supported with juridical and economical definitions, which appear on the real-estate flat market. The work then states the specifics of real-estate market and comments on the changes in the new civil code of law. It also gives a brief overview of the basics of the housing policy theory.
