This thesis contains theorethical facts about communication of teachers with parents. The thesis is focused on effective cooperation between school and parents. Defines actual forms and other possible forms of communication at primary school.Provides different ways of involving parents in school activities. The aim of this thesis is to find out which measures can teachers use in communication with parents for successful educational and personal development of pupils. Practical part of the thesis is aimed at effective leading of tripartite meetings. Conclusion of thesis contains advices for effective leading of tripartite meetings. These advices were formulated according to results of interviews with experienced and starting teachers from primary schools. Cooperation between family and school

The content of the diploma thesis is to characterize the features of a quality school and find out whether the cooperation between the school and the family is also included in this term. In the theoretical part I focus mainly on research on cooperation and on the interest of cooperation with the school by parents, public and media. An important part is the typology of parental expectations towards school, its work and the education of students. Then I summarize traditional and non-traditional forms of cooperation, which are applied on Czech schools. I also characterize teacher assistant role during the lessons, his cooperation with teacher and parents. The aim of the practical part is to monitor the cooperation between the family and the school from the point of view of the beginning teacher and the assistant teacher. From the assistant teacher, it is about the way how is looked at his role in the teaching process, how his work scope is defined, his expectations and mainly the way how he communicates with the parents. From a beginner teacher's point of view I focus on the way how to implement quality communication with the teacher assistant, to define his and my work scope and together with him get the effectively communication with the parents. Morning letter as a tool for promoting reading and literacy

This Master's Thesis deals with the Morning Letter from the program Step by Step as a possible tool for developing reading literacy. The theoretical part deals with the definition of reading literacy, the individual components and its anchoring in the Framework Education Program for Elementary Education. Thesis compares the key competences set out in the Framework Education Program for Elementary Education with reading literacy and explains their relationship and the importance of their equal development. It also describes one of the key program in this area, the program Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking, and its methods of developing reading literacy. It also deals with program Step by Step and the development of reading literacy as its component. Thesis focuses mainly on the Morning Letter as a possible reading strategy. The practical part is based on observations and interviews with teachers from the program Step by Step and their experience with Morning Letters and which forms of them are confirmed to be useful and how is perceived its overlap in reading literacy. Cooperation of a Czech Teacher With an English Native Speaker Teacher in a Bilingual School

The diploma thesis concentrates on characteristics of cooperation between czech and english speaking teachers in bilingual classes. The aim of this thesis is to explore the cooperation at elementary school and to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the collaboration between the two. The theoretical part of this work is based on the literature and it summarizes the main characteristic of this problém. The practical part is an outcome of the qualitative research. Case study focuses on detailed describtion of the bilingual programme backround gained by the author's personal experience. The choosen methods of the reaserch are intviews with bilingual programme teachers and observations of a native speaking teacher. The outcome of the thesis is analysis of data gained from the intrview and observing. On the based of the action research the thesis states the recommendations to rise the efectivity of the bilingual teacher's collaboration. Comparation of pre-primary, primary education and a child's entry to school in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands

The thesis deals with comparison of pre-school and primary education and child's entry to school in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. It is devided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. In the theoretical part is summarized pre-school and primary education from both countries. Through the historical overview we come to nowadays school educational systems, ongoing debates and policy trends planned for the future. The practical part deals with child's transfer from second to third grade in the Netherlands. With a use of the record sheets I follow and evaluate the child's development in the last year of preschool in the Czech Republic and in the second grade of Dutch primary school. The aim of the thesis is on to determine how are children in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands prepaired at the age of 5-6 years for entering the school. The question is whether Dutch children are affected and more prepaired from compulsory school attendance than children in the Czech Republic.
Mutual college support in the Start together program

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of Mutual collegial support in the Step by Step program. It examines how this support is implemented at a selected innovative school. In the theoretical part describes the professional development of a teacher, mutual collegial support, mentoring in teaching and mentor quality. It focuses on the educational activities of Step by Step Czech Republic. In the case study, the research part describes the realization of collegiate support, especially in the form of mentoring. This research method is based on participating observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, material and video analysis. A portrait of a mentor, which depicts her style of work, is created in the form of a metaphorical comparison. And it also describes individual forms of collegial support and its benefits or possible constraints. Bullying prevention in primary school

The master's thesis is devoted to bullying prevention with a focus on primary school pupils. It has both theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part provides a deeper insight into the issue of bullying clarifies relationships among its actors and the displays of bullying while focusing on types of pupils'aggression. It further provides knowledge of developmental psychology. The bullying prevention part is divided into a sub-part, which teachers can use at class level, and a sub-part, which schools implement at the level of school education programme. At the end the preventive programmes for primary school pupils and organizations which provide primary prevention are described. The empirical part comprises a research conducted using Korthagen's "Spiral of Professional Development". A "Cats'Garden" preventive programme was implemented in the second grade classes of a primary school. After the implementation, a detailed reflection was carried out, in which the basic aspects were evaluated and the alternative options were suggested. Based on the evaluation, a new anti-bullying programme was developed and tested on the pupils. The research used observation methods, interviews and product analysis. Are We Able to Learn by CLIL? Action Resarch During Its Implemention.

A b s t r a c t: CLIL is an innovative approach how to improve foreign language teaching. Thanks to the globalization, language education became one of the main priorities in most of the states, European countries, especially. However, foreign language education has been intensively discussed over the past two decades, there are still some important questions to answer. What is the best time to start with foreign language teaching? Which methods shall we use? When shall we start with the intensive foreign language teaching? Third grade, second grade or even earlier? I suggest CLIL and, particularly, language showers, could be a suitable solution how to prepare children for the future foreign language teaching. The main goal of my thesis is to find what kind of CLIL activities are suitable for the second grade where I actually teach. More specifically, I will carry out action research which will be based on videorecordings of three CLIL lessons. I will also try to analyse my linguistic and didactic mistakes. The analysis should help me to find solutions which will improve my CLIL teaching.
