Rokosová Magdaléna: Plastic Age - plastic as a legitimate part of the arts and art education [thesis], Prague 2015 - Charles university in Prague, Faculty of education, department of art This diploma thesis is focused on mapping the potential of synthetic or semi- synthetic polymeric materials as specific means for fine art and art education. The theoretical part summarizes the crucial moments and the possibility of using plastics in applied arts (design) as well as in free creation and their everyday use in various fields and the resulting significant determination of our lives with these materials, including adverse effects on human health and our planet. Didactic series uses the appropriate means with regard to addressing the topics and the target group of pupils in second level primary school. It gently draws attention to the amount of plastic waste produced, and also presents the possibility of using these materials for creative work. The artistic section is focused on original works of fine art with the use of synthetic materials and verifying their expected potential. Its content is mainly engaged in the contrast of artificial and natural world and the question of whether these two seemingly distant worlds are really separable.

Magdalena Novotná, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis deals with the transition of areal and three-dimensional imagery in the works of selected artists, which are the basis for didactic transformation, into artistic activi- ties in the kindergarten program 'Starting Together'. The empiric part deals with the deve- lopment of spatial and areal perception among preschool children. The theoretical part discusses the contemporary understanding of art teaching and its full development potential in preschool education. It outlines the teacher's role in planning of artistic activities and his/her ability to provide children the world of culture and art in kinder- garten in comparison with the role of a gallery educator in an art gallery. It seeks to provide theoretical support for the empiric part and for the realized interdisciplinary project. It deals with the development of selected cognitive abilities of children of preschool age, sensation and perception, along with the possibilities of the development of spatial intelli- gence including the process of comparing during artistic activities. The author sees this theme through her own intensive experience, connecting it with the pedagogical practice and fine art. The thesis is divided into three parts, where the first, theoretical, discusses imaging of themes connected with a woman and motherhood, offering a parallel of the traditional male view and female concept of the present. The didactic part brings a search for the ideal way - dream - in an environment hostile to art education at private vocational school. The practical part presents the author's own art work reflecting her personal experience with motherhood. Explore pictures of supernatural beings and other creatures which could be found in current visualizations of Fantasy genres, computer games, illustrations and films. Study and categorize visual and written materials, follow these fantastic creatures, how they look like and how the appearance of them changes through time. Track the source of the appearance by comparing modern sources and older pictures and also by studying old myths and legends. Research what inspiration how impacted the process of creating new concepts. Study and define terms such as imagination and fantasy. Through scientific research, try to map how the children imagine fantastic creatures and from what pictures and text their images come from. What do children find scary? Paraphrase classical artwork - a didactic transformation and application of topics in art education

IN ENGLISH This thesis has the character of theoretical studies on the topic paraphrase a classic work of art and its subsequent didactic applications for that grade school. It solves the problems of paraphrasing in the visual arts. It characterizes the aspects related to the topic, such as analysis and structure of a work of art. It focuses on the theory of shape as the basic building blocks of artwork and associated topics, which are: quotes, interpretation, image transformations and alterations. Art work is a continuation of a previous bachelor thesis, which dealt with the issue of land. It deals with the transformation of the original image resulting from the help of manipulation of individual shapes in the image, replacing the existing design to a new one. They are created in the form of the photographs from the area of pre-defined landscape Didactic section applies subject paraphrase the selected school and verifies and theoretical knowledge in practice. It depicts the topic paraphrase as a whole. The objective is to try and understand the basic principles that apply to paraphrase.
What the students learned in art classes

This thesis has character of the research has focused on the recogni tion of art istic educational gains in art lessons by teachers and pupils in pr imary school . The thesis is based on empi rical research consisting of three phases of research that address the issues examined using three dif ferent methods. The research in i ts stages involved students of the fourth year of primary school in Prague 10, teachers of pr imary school level and in the thi rd stage were examined entr ies in the books of class thi rd to f if th grade. The results show how the pupi ls evaluate their work and what is best and the most important in the art lesson.
