Barriers to effective coaching in organization

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of coaching in organizations, respectively the topic of barriers to coaching in organizations that prevent its effectiveness. Firstly, the attention is paid to the definition of coaching, its basic principles, forms and specifics to other developmental methods. Further described is the use of coaching in organizations, the reasons for its implementation, its benefits and most of all the barriers that may occur. Text is based on the specialized literature and the data from qualitative research. The focus is on the perspectives of the parties that participate in the coaching process - guarantors of coaching, coaches and coachees and how these actors perceive the potential barriers to coaching, not only during the coaching process, but even before its initiation and after its completion. Analysis of development programs for students and graduates

The bachelor thesis deals with development programs for students and graduates in organizations. The first part of the work is devoted to the theoretical basis of talent management and talent development methods that are implemented in the programs. The second part of the work focuses on the analysis of the development programs for students and graduates in selected organizations. The basic criteria of comparison are determined and described for each of programs and subsequently evaluated. Electronic Support of Personnel Management

4 SUMMARY The diploma thesis relates to possibilities and using of electronic support in the human resource management. The thesis deals with the development, general types of the electronic support, using of specific types of electronic support in different personnel activities. There are also outlined trends and tendencies in the near future of electronic support in the human resource management. A part of the thesis is dedicated to an empirical study. The study is focused on the current situation of using electronic support in chosen personnel activities (such as analysing of job description, attraction, recruiting, personnel administration, adaptation, compensation and benefits, evaluation, trainings and internal communication). The respondents are organizations located in the Czech Republic. The empirical study uses the semi-quantitative approach and it is realized by the electronic semi-structured questionnaire. Development of soft skills trainers competencies: creating educational concepts

This thesis is devoted to the theme of the development of competencies of soft skills trainers. A special attention has been paid to the various roles that a trainer has when performing his/her job and the related competencies that are essential for high-quality mastering of this profession. The focal points are the possibilities of development of trainers' teaching competence within formal and informal education that a trainer has during preparatory as well as further education of trainers with special emphasis on the methods that can be employed to achieve this education. The empiric part of this thesis maps the ways of acquiring trainer's competencies as they occur in practice, their connection with further professional development. At the same time it verifies the suitability of the methods that are used to develop competencies. Based on the analysis of information provided by the respondents and study of relevant literature, a methodological concept of education of a trainer has been developed.
Ethical aspects of employing social networks in the recruitment process

This thesis deals with ethical aspects of employing social networks in personnel management. Selected social networks with their benefits and limits in this field are presented. It is focused on the recruitment and selection processes from the ethical point of view and possible risks of using social networks. The thesis is based on previous findings mostly from foreign scientific sources. The attitude of human resources specialists to using social networks in the recruitment process is discussed. In a qualitative survey, the attitude of human resources specialists from organizations and from recruitment companies is compared to find out possible differences.

Workers' motivation in the period of young and late middle adulthood

This thesis focuses on the topic of motivating workers, particularly on two groups of workers - workers in the life period of young adulthood and workers in the period of late middle adulthood. In the introduction the reason for chosing this topic is explained, there are also defined the key words of this problematic and the classic motivation theories; the overview of the motivation theories focused on work environment follow afterwards. Also the findings of developmental psychology, concentrating on the life period of young and late middle adulthood and its differences are presented. Not only the classic literature was the source for this thesis; also many researches that were carried out in recent years and that are focusing on finding out the main difference of motivation of these different groups of workers were the base for this thesis. In the last part of this work I analyse my own findings that are based on the interviews I made with young and older workers and I compare these findings with the findings presented in the international researches. This diploma thesis deals with the subject of external human resource consultancy. It introduces the comprehensive view on consultancy process and describes in detail the range of human resources agendas associated with consultancy. The entire document links theoretical findings with business practice and demonstrates how the external consultancy can be applied in organizations. It reflects common problems in companies with emphasis on extended description of human resource outsourcing. Empirical part of the thesis looks into on-line offers of consultancy services in human resource management. This topic is subject of qualitative survey aimed at describing contemporary human resources consultancy market in Czech Republic. Survey findings present structure of consultancy services. Emotional Intelligence and its Measuring

This bachelor thesis includes a summary of famous concepts of emotional intelligence and the use of them. The thesis briefly introduces with their basic features and measure methods connected to the concepts. By this, it shows the stage of development of emotional intelligence today. One measure method will be used in the applicative part of the thesis. The aim of the thesis is to outline alternative ways of understanding the topic of emotional intelligence and different ways of using emotional intelligence in practise. The models are supposed to be compared and contrasted and two people with different emotional intelligence level should be tested. Ten people who know the two, will answer questions about them. The two people will be also tested in one measure method. The results should show, whether there is a difference between a prediction and the test results or not.
The Use of 360-Degree Feedback

This thesis focuses on the topic of the 360-Degree Feedback with the emphasis on the application of this technique. In the theoretical part of the thesis is described the process of the 360-Degree Feedback with the accent on implementation of this tool to the company. The thesis also contains short description of the design of the 360- Degree Feedback questionnaire; and presentation how the data can be collected. Last but not least it is mentioned, how the final output of this method can be used. The application of the tool is described in the complexity of different personal activities and processes, with the combination of other personal tools (such as Assessment centers or Employee Surveys). The empirical part contains a description of the implementation of the 360- Degree Feedback into a personal and counseling company. The appropriate implementation is here taken like an important part of effective use of this tool. The data of the empirical study were collected by attempted observation.
