Retention of youth players in Czech football

Title: Retention of youth players in Czech football Objectives: The main objective of the research of this bachelor thesis was, with the help of electronic survey, trying to find the main reasons, why male children and youth from 13 to 18 years old dropout before they reach the adult level of playing organized football. Methods: A quantitative method of electronic survey was used. The questionnaire was shared via social network (Facebook) and the comment section on the webpage eurofotbal.cz. Furthermore, the questionnaire was directly sent to former footballers. Results: The most important reason, why children and young people dropout of playing football, was interest in other things and activities. This thesis did not investigate this reason to more detail. The least important reason was insufficient money for free contributions to the clubs. In general, structural reasons turned out to be unimportant. From ten the most important reasons, there are seven intrapersonal. Two are interpersonal and one is structural. Key words: Football, children, youth, withdrawal from sport, reasons for dropout
A comparison between football match organization of clubs from the first and second Czech league

Title: A comparison between football match organization of clubs from the first and second czech league Objectives: The main goal of the thesis is to identify and to analyze each element of the football match organization and also the program prepared for stadium visitors. Then the comparison should help to inspire each other and to improve. It should help to point out defects too. Methods: Data were collected by in-depth interviews with club's representatives and structured personal observations. Then the data were compared between each other. SWOT analysis was done based on gained information to find defects of both clubs. Results: The main result of this bachelor thesis is the comparison between match organization of clubs from the first and secon czech football league. Also, there are found solutions for all defects discovered. The solutions are based on inspiration by each other and information from theoretical part. Title: Marketing communication of the handball club TJ Sokol Nové Veselí Objectives: The following bachelor thesis is focused on creating the measures and concepts of marketing communication of the handball club TJ Sokol Nové Veselí which will lead to its improvement. Methods: Quantitative methods - such as analysis of documents and various texts, official websites and social media profiles - were used in the practical part of this thesis. Marketing research is also based on semi-structured interview with the deputy chairman of the club, and semi-structured interviews with three fans of the club. Results: This thesis has revealed that the club does not use communication tools as effectively as it could due to its capabilities. The result of this work is the concept of possible improvements, which were involved in the marketing communication of the club during the creation of the concept itself. It was mainly about improving communication with its fans on individual profiles on social networks, websites or in direct communication. To maintain the positive development of changes, it is important that there is appointed employee working in the club who will work actively in this area. Title: The perception of VAR technology by fans of Prague first league football teams Objectives: The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to find out, by means of marketing research, how fans of Prague's first league football teams perceive the current functioning of VAR technology in the football environment. Methods: In this thesis quantitative methods of data collection were used. It was a survey. The questionnaire was published electronically. The results were captured using graphs and tables. Results: Based on the information obtained from the respondents, it became clear that the vast majority of respondents perceived VAR technology positively. Title: Migration of Czech junior hockey players Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to understand the relationship between migration of Czech junior hockey players and the level of their success in the NHL. To help accomplish this goal, desirable secondary data needed to be collected. One of the secondary goals of this thesis was to analyze topics and studies related to this thesis. Methods: This thesis uses quantitative research. One of crucial methods used is document analysis; analysis of related case studies and data in particular. Comparative research was also used to compare data collected in this thesis and data collected in related case studies. Correlation analysis was used to understand the relationship between migration and success in the NHL. Results: The results of this thesis follow up on related case studies in certain aspects, mainly the data gathered in said studies. Comparison of data collected in mentioned studies and this thesis proves the generally known decline of total number of Czech players drafted to and playing in the NHL. The number of Czech players in the NHL has more than halved in the last 20 years. Name: Management of major orienteering events Goal: The main goal of this thesis is to determine and summarize basic managerial methods important for successful organization of major sporting events, with focus on orienteering. These methods will be described more in detail to support potential organizers of main orienteering events and so to help to bring professionalism to delivery of the event. Methods: In this work a mixed method approach was used for the data collection as well as for analysis of collected data. Information about events were collected through questionnaires, analyzed with basic statistic methods such as mean, median or correlation and visualized in graph. Correlations were critically evaluated considering logical interrelation of two variables. Results: The results showed a crucial role in success of any orienteering event plays functionality of organizing committee - its satisfaction, commitment and coherence. Even though, organizing committees doesn't necessarily have any professional education in sport event management, years of organizing national and grass root events gave them enough experience to organize successfully major orienteering events, considering their own objectives. Title: Product's offer of the cycling race Transbrody for sponsors Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to innovate the offer of the Transbrody bike race to sponsors. Based on the processed analyzes of interviews and the survey, to design options how to improve the current offer and complement the current offer with new options and products for new sponsors and sponsorship packages or new sponsors. This work will serve for the cycling club as a proposal to increase the offer for sponsors for future years. Methods: The work has used both quantitative methods and qualitative methods. Among quantitative methods, an electronic questionnaire survey designed for the sponsors of the race was used. As a qualitative method the method of semi- structured questionnaire with the marketing director of the race was used. Results: Based on an interview with the marketing director of the Transbrody race and a questionnaire survey for sponsors, it turned out that the sponsors of the race would also welcome a change in the current offer. It turned out that the organizers do not use sponsorship packages at all and do not work with sponsorship activation. It was recommended to create these packages. Title: Web presentation of basketball clubs in Kooperativa NBL Objectives: The main objective of this diploma thesis is to create a summary of recommendations for the web presentation of the sports club through marketing research based on the evaluation of existing websites, but also based on the requirements, recommendations and expectations of website visitors. Methods: There are used two interdependent methods in the thesis. The first method is the content analysis of the website, which was subjected to 12 websites of KNBL clubs. The second method is Focus Group, which was attended by 8 selected respondents. Results: The research results show that the web presentation of clubs in KNBL is on the high level. Title: Proposal for improving the game day experience in the ELH based on the NHL Objectives: The main goal of the diploma thesis is to suggest the program arrangement of the game day for the visitors of the Czech hockey league. The thesis targets on new features appropriate for the Czech environment but also for the improvement of the current ones. Another goal of the thesis is to describe the attitude of the game day management teams to the accompanying program in ELH and NHL which represent the image of the league itself. Methods: The main sources for collecting the data are as the following: a structured observation and in-depth interviews. All of the information is collected based on the questions created for the purpose of the thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the literature sources and the consultations with experts in the field of the Czech and Canadian-American icehockey. Results: The main result of the diploma thesis is the suggestion for the improvement of the gameday program of the club HC Sparta Praha. Title: Attendance at home matches of FK Dukla Praha Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to find ways of improving attendance at home matches of FK Dukla Praha based on data from marketing research. The goal of the thesis is designed in collaboration with FK Dukla Praha in a way that would provide them valuable data about their fans and their satisfaction with offered services. Methods: The method used in this thesis is marketing research. Its main part was made up of electronic survey using a questionnaire created specifically for the purposes of this thesis. The survey was supplemented by a semi-structured interview with a member of marketing team of FK Dukla Praha. Results: The results of this research revealed a few options that would lead to increase in attendance at home matches of FK Dukla Praha.
