Mejsnar, Petr ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Michalička, Vladimír (referee)
Title of the work: Phycical fitness of personal protectors of the Police of the Czech Republic. Objectives: The main aim of the work was to determine and evaluate the profile of physical fitness of the members of the Close Protection Division, Protective Services of the Police of the Czech Republic. Methods: The work has character of emprical research, its main method was observation. Research sample was composed of 21members (age range 28-55) of the Close Protection Division of Protection Service of the Police of Czech Republic. Within complex testing were used non-invasive methods (anthropomotoric testing, analysis of body composition, anaerobic and aerobic testing, tests for local power and tests of reactivity). An invasive method was also used to test a capillary blood sample to determine the cholesterol level and the postworkout lactate level in blood. Somatic factors were eveluated individualy (antropometry, somatotype, body composition). Conditioning claims were also evaluated (anaerobic, aerobic, lokal power). Within psychophysiological requirements as tested reactivity on acustic and optical signal and as a last there were found out information from health area, blood pressure was measured and compared to level of cholesterol of research sample. Results: The results of observation has...
Comparison of proportional biological age and theoretical skeletal age on the example of swimmers
Peřinka, Filip ; Musálek, Martin (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
and key words Problem definition: Assessment of the biological age is possible to obtain by several methods, both simple and more sophisticated. Results will surely not always comport. Currently radiography of distal epiphysis antebrachia and ossa manus (ossa carpi , ossa metacarpi, phalanges) is considered to be the most exact method, however for the reason of unavailability of X-ray pictures, we require for assessment of the bone age, this method is used exceptionally mainly for its invasiveness. Theoretical estimation of the bone age might be a kind of alternative method when assessed from derived coefficients of regression equations, made on a base of conventional radiographic method. In the contrast of that, age rating by biological proportionality is considered a substitution of the bone age criteria. So, the problem is the mutual diversity and difference of the two methods which are relatively most exact. The Aim: In the thesis, we deal with comparison of the biological proportional age and theoretical bone age within swimming youth, in age range 11-15 years altogether. The main goal is to learn the difference of the biological maturity by using two methods determining the biological age coming out from anthropological measurement of individuals. Methods of resolution: Assessment of the...

Changes in body composition and anaerobic and aerobic performance during the six weeks HIIT
Kliková, Dana ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this master thesis is to evaluate the influence of a six-week HIIT (High intensity interval training) on body composition and both aerobic and anaerobic performance. A group of 9 men aged 28-51 years was gathered and who followed an exact six-week training programme according to the chosen hypothesis. The results of our study show that the chosen six-week programme led to statistically significant (p < 0,05) changes in body weight (kg), BMI (kg/m2 ), in FEV (l), and ANC/kg (J/kg). Changes in the other parameters were statistically not significant. Taking into account the size of group (n=9) we conclude that mainly effects on the individual level were attained.
Cardiorespiratory fitness of sporting population
Novák, Jaroslav ; Zeman, Václav (advisor) ; Votík, Jaromír (referee) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Cardiorespiratory kapacity in sporting population J. Novák Summary VO2max and VO2max/kg values were directly obtained during 2777 measurements in competitive athletes and active but not competing subjects. The normatives of cardiorespiratory capacity for different age groups of male and female endurance athletes (Group A), team sport players (Group B) and other sports (group C) were established, and compared to normatives for Czech population based on the International Biological Program (IBP) results (Seliger a Bartůněk 1976). The most favorable values of cardiorespiratory capacity (both VO2max; VO2max/kg and W170;W170/kg) were found in the group A athletes (endurance trained) - both males and females. Their level highly exceeded the values of untrained CS IBP population and also those obtained in control group D in this study. The highest correlation was found between VO2max and Wmax and between VO2max/kg and Wmax/kg. This high correlation was very similarly high in the whole sample of 2777 examinations, in the sample of men (n=2015) and women (n=762) and also in all age-groups in different athletic groups A to D. It was proved that VO2max and VO2max/kg values could be calculated according to the maximal performance attained on bicycle ergometer. During spiroergometric examination the values of stroke...
The Influence of age, gender and movement activity on the reaction abilities of lower limbs by pubescents
Brychta, Petr ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Havel, Zdeněk (referee) ; Harsa, Pavel (referee)
Title: The influence of age, gender and movement activity on the reaction abilities of lower limbs. Objectives: The main objective of this dissertation was to find the reaction abilities of pubescent's (aged 10 - 15years) lower limbs on the basis of age, gender and movement activity. The further aim was to determine the pubescence period (age) when the most noticeable decrease of the visual disjunctive motor response time of lower limbs occurs. Methods: 214 boys and girls aged 10-15 years (157.8 ± 10.8 cm; 47.2 ± 10.7 kg) participated in this research. Simple, choice and disjunctive reaction time of lower limbs was measured through the Fitro Agility Check test. The results processing, including statistical procedures, was carried out using the Matlab (MathWorks, Inc.) programming environment, an IBM SPSS Statistics 22. Three-way ANOVA and Tukey post-hoc tests (α=0.05) were used to determine the individual parameters connection. Results: With increasing age, year over year, we found important differences and reaction time decreases of all types of reaction speeds. Testing brings to light the fact that the most noticeable decrease of both selection and disjunctive reaction time of lower limbs are between groups of 11 year olds (11.00-11.99) and 12 year olds (12.00-12.99). The most noticeable decrease...
The effect of sauna on the changes of blood pressure
Benko, Michal ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The effect of sauna on the changes of blood pressure Objectives: The aim of this study was the measure of the physiological range (blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation) of two selected groups of people within the sauna cycle, assess changes and compare the results of individual probands and groups. Methods: This thesis is conducted as an experimental study. This is a quantitative method, in that will be at first established hypotheses and then evaluated on the basis of the obtained results. The independent variable in this research is the sauna and dependent variables are blood pressure, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. Results: Blood pressure values were at employee of sauna lower than at other probands, thereby was confirmed hypothesis, but expected significant differences between the measured values of each group were absent. At the same time there was a further confirmation of the hypothesis concerning heart rate, which was increased at all probands. The last confirmed hypothesis related to the blood oxygen saturation and its reduce after the sauna. It could be said that all the defined hypotheses were confirmed. Keywords: sauna, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, cardiovascular system

Title: The effect of box (parabox) on respiratory functions in wheelchair dependent. Aim of thesis: The main objective of this thesis is to present a new kind of sport, a qualitative pilot case study exploring the impact of boxing on respiratory functions in people dependent on wheelchairs. Next prepare a proper research methodology and finally make independent measurements including subjective feeling records of participants. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first theoretical part, I tried to find out the latest information based on studies and research on the topic. Unfortunately, in the available literature the problem of people in wheelchairs has not yet been completely summarize and a significant number of publications relate exclusively to people with spinal cord lesions. In the second part of my thesis I include the aforementioned research monitories the chase in respiratory function, also depending on the subjective feelings of participants and their overall life valuation. Methodology: The research group consists of 3 participants - men fully attached to wheelchairs, training box once-twice a week. To fulfil the purpose of the research I used both clinical (spirometric measurements) and questionnaire (SQUALA) methods. Data was collected over a period of 2.5 months in the fall...

The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people
Michalcová, Eliška ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people Objectives: The primary objective of this experiment was to determine whether and to what extent the application of kinesio tape to flat foot (utilising a functional correction technique) can influence the positioning of the specific segments of the body and thereby implement change to walking stereotype. Methods: Biomechanical measurement of the gait of eleven specifically selected people with the clinical symptoms of flat foot was implemented. First we recorded measurements prior to the intervention and then again, subsequent to the application of kinesio tape for a defined period. Probands retained the tape in place for the following four days and then the measuring was repeated both prior and subsequent to the removal of the tape. To determine any potential changes to the statics, initially the measuring of the postural stability prior to the intervention was first implemented in the experiment and subsequently again when the kinesio tape was removed after it had been worn for four days. This measurement was carried out using the Footscan apparatus (RSscan International, Belgium) and any potential differences in six variant modes of posture were determined....
