Their state was observed with the help of the POMS Questionnaire. The patients filled in the forms before and after the physiotherapeutical intervention with the psychosomatic attitude. The non-parametric version of the Wilcoxon's test was used for the evaluation of the differences of the dependent selected groups. Results: The results have proved all of the three hypotheses. After the physiotherapeutical intervention the current psychical state changed, the decrease of the tension, depression, anger, fatigue and confussion was significant. Cichra, Matěj ; Harbichová, Ivana (advisor) ; Panská, Šárka (referee)
Title: The use of psychological preparation for musical dancers Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe the psychological skills of musical performers, to determine the use of these skills and assess whether the rate of utilization depends on education, gender, age and length of practice. Methods: The thesis has the character of empirical and theoretical research and includes the elements of quantitative research. Examined group was composed of N=30 musicals dancers who were responding to TOPS questionnaire that examines the use of psychological skills among athletes. The Pearson's correlation coefficient was applied to find out the relation between the usage of psychological skills among musical dancers, their age and length of practice. Differences with regard to gender and education in musical related field were examined as well. Results: The results did not demonstrate clear reliance of psychological skills usage on the age of the dancers and the length of the musical experience. Comparison of scores of psychological skills of men and women; dancers who have related educational background and who do not, has revealed an increased use of these skills among women and dancers educated in related field. Harbichová, Ivana ; Slepička, Pavel (advisor) ; Štochl, Jan (referee) ; Pavelková, Isabella (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to verify the relationship of the contextually specific motivation in sport to a global self-esteem and possible mediation effects of the physical self-perceptions in this relationship. To achieve this objective six individual studies were conducted. First, we focused on the translation of diagnostic instruments: the Sport Motivation Scale (SMS; Pelletier et al., 1995) and the Social Physique Anxiety Scale (SPAS; Hart, Leary, Rejeski, 1989) into the Czech language. Next, the validity and reliability of the scores obtained by Czech versions of the instruments were examined. Based on the results of the structural equation modeling and using a known-difference evidence validity approach we concluded that both translated instruments may be useful as a valid and reliable diagnostic tools for measuring different kinds of motivation in sport (SMS) and negative physical self-perception (social physical anxiety - SPAS). Using structural equation modeling, we also concluded that different types of motivation in sport (which vary in degree of relative autonomy of the subject) affect specific self-esteem associated with the body, as well as the evaluation of one's self at the global level. Relationship of the sport motivation and the global self-esteem was largely mediated...

The questionnaire consists of three subscales measuring: somatic anxiety, cognitive anxiety, self-confidence. Data were analyzed using basic descriptive statistics, and the Pearson correlation coefficient was used to examine the hypotheses about relationships. Results: The results have shown that age is related to somatic and cognitive anxiety, whereas both components of competitive anxiety increase with increasing age. On the other hand age was not associated with self- confidence. The length of sports career was positively associated with somatic anxiety and self-confidence, however was not related to cognitive anxiety. Title: Comparison of psychological hardiness in para swimmers with different training intensities Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to compare psychological hardiness level among impaired para swimmers and non-sporting impaired individuals. The goal is to find out if the impaired para swimmers achieve higher hardiness level in comparison with their non-sporting counterparts. Methods: We measured and evaluated the hardiness level of all participants as well as their selected subgroups. The Personal Views Survey created by Kobasa in 1985 was used in Google Forms to get the data. In total 117 respondents were asked to complete the survey, however only 45 took part in the end. All the participants accepted an informed consent beforehand. We used the two-samples-unpaired T-test with unequal variance. Results: Neither of the two proposed hypothesis was confirmed and we did not find any significant difference in targeted subgroups either. Keywords: Physical impairment, adapted physical activities, swimming, stress, sport psychology, hardiness, self-knowledge
