Grants towards primary and secondary schools in Karlovy Vary region

The aim of this piece is to illustrate a life and work of Ludmila Žofková, one of the Czech reformative pedagogy figures of twenties and thirties, 19. century. The introductory part shows us Ms. Žofková's life the way she remembered it in her manuscripts. Next parts are devoted to her pedagogic activity, pedagogic autobiography in other words. Before the Analysis of "Bakov plan" we are going to think up Czech and world pedagogic trends of the beginning of 20. century. The attempt analysis itself is a key part of the piece. It is divided into 3 chapters. In the Didactic analysis we're going to uncover the "Bakov plan" in didactic point of view. The Conditions chapter is showing what conditions the "Bakov plan" realization presumed and what conditions the pedagogues from Bakov faced in real. Last chapter called Educational Aspects and Instruments presents what were the educatory aims the "Bakov plan" had, and which tools were used to make these aims happen. Final part of the piece describes the Czech language education at school in Bakov and Czech language workbooks written by Ludmila Žofková. I believe that this work brings another perspective on knowledge and inspiration to teachers' pedagogic activity.

A teacher as a victim of violence
Tomášek, Jan ; Pelikán, Jiří (advisor) ; Černíková, Vratislava (referee) ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis is focused on violence against teachers. It is a broadly discussed topic because of several cases of teachers assaulted by a student in the Czech Republic or abroad, sometimes with fatal consequences. Usually there is an opinion that youth violent behaviour is on increase and therefore educational profession is becoming a risk one. The thesis suggests there is some kind of distortion in sources of such information which such opinions are based on. It relates both to news coverage and crime statistics. There is also a problem to define violence or aggressive behaviour. Moreover, we should consider them in a close relation to the work of a teacher, ideally as a type of so called workplace violence. The thesis explores causes of violence against teachers. Not only with respect to perpetrator but also regarding the victim and his or her behaviour or specific features typical for interaction between teachers and students. Empirical research is the most important source of relevant information related to the extent and patterns of violence against teachers. Unfortunately, there are only few studies focused on the problem. This is the reason why the discussion of the problem is usually based on guesswork or speculations but not on the real knowledge. The author of the thesis tries to summarize outcomes...
Art-therapy, art-philetic chances of creativity progress in education
Alternatives of modern information technologies used in education
Horník, Vlastimil ; Vališová, Alena (referee) ; Koťa, Jaroslav (advisor)
The intent of this thesis is to chart educational technology issues. In the theoretic part I'm engaged in universal questions related to school modemizing, teachertechnique relations and a teacher's role in a leaming process supported by an educational technology. In addition to a traditional educational technology and a literature about it, I'm interested in a modem educational technology used along with computers. Except a summary ofthis technology I'm thinking about its use. In the practical part I worked out a case study that charts the process of selected secondary school modemizing. For this purpose I have chosen a school I'm teaching at. It has provided me to get down more in a process of the school modemizing. Even if this part is intended on one concrete school I suppose that problems which have appeared there are similar as in other schools. An outcome of this thesis is a summary of key issues related to a process of modemizing and an indication of next development in this sector.

The conception and the self-conception of a student at SPŠZ
Froldová, Vladimíra ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pelikán, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis was to characterize the conception and the self-conception of a student at the Secondary Technical school of Land surveying and Cartography. The conception of a student consists of three components: a general, subject and own teacher conception. There is no exact specification of a successful student at SPŠZ. A superficial tendency is prevailing, which characterizes the successful student according to his/her school results. The self-conception of the students is influenced not only by their school results but also their experiences and estimation of school education. 117 I have tried to suggest a self-reflective method of perceptional skills. By means of this method a teacher can realize his/her criteria of a successful student and how far and which way they influence his/her evaluation. The procedure, which can help to characterize a student self-conception in a social, performance and aspiration field, is an inseparable part of the method. The method is thoroughly explained in an illustrative example from my teacher practise.
