The analysis of the needs of automatic identification and data capture in the selected distribution company

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the labeling of goods, specifically the usage of barcodes and RFID technology for that purpose. There are two major ways of labeling the goods described in this work: barcodes and RFID technology. In this work I show the advantages and disadvantages of both those technologies, especially for the storage purposes, order picking, for achieving lower human error rate and better management of the good's flow. The obtained knowledge is used in the practical part of the work for creating alternative solutions for the Novotrek Distribution s.r.o. company. The work's outcome is the analysis of offers of the suppliers of automatic identification systems and the cost calculation, which can be used by the company's management for their final decision.
Retail companies in the Czech Republic and their logistics

This thesis analyses the current situation of the retail market in the Czech Republic. It examines the principal trends in the distribution politics which have an important influence on the czech retail market. In the following section there is described how the most successful retail chains have developed in recent years. At the end, by three case studies I allow the reader to have an overview of the current practice. I explain how the distribution centers work and what is the business strategy of one of the leading chains in the Czech Republic.
Quality management in logistics

This thesis deals with the application of quality management in the unconventional field of logistics that are increasingly becoming inseparable parts. The aim of the thesis is to find out logistics provider's attitude and opinion about various aspects of the quality, their interest in quality management and especially its usefulness in the real world. Secondary aim is to analyze the concept of quality management, methods being used and matter of connection with logistics. The theoretical part of the thesis focus on historical development and definition of the quality. There are methods being used to improve the quality, strategic importance of quality management and different types of quality awards in Czech Republic and around the world. In the next chapter are the most frequently discussed approaches to quality management as ISO 9000 standards and Total quality management. Following section is devoted to logistics and logistics providers. Last chapter deals with customer satisfaction in 21st century and customer expectations. Practical part is centered on creation of the survey, evaluation of the obtained data and the final result.
Logistics of radioactive waste

The aim of diploma thesis is to analyse the overall technical base and to monitor logistic processes which are from the very beginning associated with radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel. The main emphasis is put on spent nuclear fuel from nuclear power plants. The current situation in this area is illustrated by an example of the Czech Republic and Sweden. The comparison of Czech and Swedish system leads to demonstration of strengths and weaknesses of the used methods.
Client´s Needs in the Relationship with 3PL Provider

This Master's Thesis focuses on outsourcing of logistics services. In the theoretical part of the thesis there is a general description of outsourcing of logistics services, advantages and disadvantages of logistics outsourcing, history and current state of the logistic market and attitude of providers of logistics services towards sustainable development. Next part of the thesis describes phases of outsourcing process, types of contracts and tools that help control outsourcing relationship. In the practical part of the thesis in-depth interviews are used to analyze needs of 3PL client. Based on the information gathered from the in-depth interviews recommendations are created. These recommendations are supposed to raise client's satisfaction and evolve and improve cooperation. The aim of this Master's Thesis is to determine gaps between client's request and real state of provided services.
Analysis of processes with returnable packaging in GEFCO company

My master thesis deals with the processes of empty packaging in GEFCO company. The goal is to analyze these processes and propose solutions that the company would bring cost savings and optimization of the flows. In the theoretical part I define returnable packaging, their functions, types, trends and compare different logistic providers. Communication process between the customer and the logistics partner and possible benefits of improvements in branch of FMCG

The master thesis deals with the relationship between client and provider of logistics services in the supply chain. The author focuses primarily on issues of communication and exchange of data / information between the clients and logistic provider. After the initial phase of the analysis of the current situation and the factors influencing this situation, there is a completely new process designed to exchange data / information and method of implementation this process. There are other threats to actual implementation mentioned together with the proposal. These threats along with possible alternative scenarios and technical implementations are then discussed in detail in the end.
Processes of warehousing of chemicals of the lead logistics provider in the Czech Republic

This thesis is focused on processes of warehousing of chemicals of the lead logistics provider in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to analyse legislative and safety requirements for warehousing of chemicals in the Czech Republic. An audit, which determines the correctness of warehousing, makes a suggestion and gives advice not only on the warehouse equipment but also on the whole process of warehousing of chemicals, is made on the basis of ascertained information. The first part of thesis describes legislative sources and safety requirements for work performance with chemicals. The second part is focused on the audit of warehousing itself. The risks, which appear on the workplace, are described there, as well as making suggestions of their elimination. The final chapter is dedicated to the improvement of warehouse safety.
The influence of the e-commerce logistics on the costumer satisfaction

This thesis analyzes the impact of processes associated with order execution on customer satisfaction. The theoretical part should introduce readers to current and relatively comprehensive e-commerce market. The objective is to formulate and highlight information and concepts, which are important for understanding the subsequent practical applications. The thesis is focused on logistics processes that affect customer satisfaction, e.g. receiving, assembling and shipping. The practical part should analyze the processes using the example of an online store Mall.cz. The main interest of the thesis emphasis on the functioning of the distribution center, identification of bottlenecks and the implementation of measures for the efficient order execution. In the final part the author analyzes three major competitors and their offers of the delivery of goods. The output of that part is a SWOT analysis. The main objective of the thesis is to identify the key factors of logistics processes and evaluate their impact on customer satisfaction. A specific feature and benefit of this work is the interconnection of marketing and logistics perspective.
Logistics Processes Optimization in Company Specialized in Hotel Industry

The thesis deals with the application of Lean management in optimizing business processes, namely logistics processes. The author narrows the theoretical view as possible in today's practice to optimize the logistics processes in the real case study of a company. One of the theoretical foundations of modern Japanese approach based on Lean Management is called Toyota Production System. The practical focus of the work lies in analysis of the actual deployment of optimization in company specialized in hotel industry. Finally, thesis evaluates the success of optimization in the organization. The author has proposed some practical pieces of advice and techniques to approach optimization in near future.
