Analysis of tourism in the Příbram region with a focus on mining tourism

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of tourism in Příbram. More specifically, it focuses on mining tourism, its manifestations in the world, in Europe and in the Czechia, and then studies in detail the possibilities and development of the model area of Příbram. The aim of the work is to characterize a new form of tourism and apply the acquired knowledge to the selected area. The first part focuses on the definition and delimitation of mining tourism in the world tourism. The complexity of the definition, suitable assumptions and the importance of this form of tourism in the global, European and specifically in the Czech scale are discussed. The work also deals with the current state of mining facilities in the Příbram region and their use in mining tourism. At the same time, the negative impacts caused by the ongoing covid-19 pandemic are being discussed. From the acquired knowledge and guided interviews, shortcomings are analyzed and the possibilities of further development of mountain tourism are created. The results showed that although mountain tourism in the Příbram region is well developed, there is still untapped potential for the future growth. Monitoring watercourse of Bílina river with concentration on flooding hazard

Title: Mapping modifications of riverbed Bílina with concentrate on flood risk Abstract Recently, the flood events and related conditions of riverbeds have been a very current topic. The following text deals with the evaluation of different types of anthropogenic interference into natural riverbeds and their surroundings and also anthropogenic landscape changes and their impacts on the hydrological situation of a particular catchment area and potential impacts on the formation and process of the floods. The work presents authors own field mapping methodology. This methodology is compared to the others designed to measure rivers in constant conditions and highlights the potential flood risks. It helps to identify potential risk parts of the river where any flood event could lead to a greater damage. The proposed methodology was tested on a sub-section of the river Bílina, which is further processed by the history of flood events. Later on, the field mapping and photographic documentation of the current situation of the riverbed has been done. Key words floods, risk, methodology, river Bílina, anthropogenic modifications
Forest pedagogy and its value for geographical education

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of forest pedagogy and possibilities of its use in geographical education. The introductory theoretical part based on the content analysis of domestic and foreign literary sources summarizes the present knowledge of the forest pedagogy in the domestic and world context. It describes this educational direction and its differences from other forest pedagogy-related educational approaches. It introduces the person of the forest pedagogue and the used educational methods. It briefly characterizes the problems of geographic education in our country and tries to find connections between teaching geography and forest pedagogy. The practical part explains how forest pedagogy can contribute to geographic education. It is based on a qualitative research conducted through structured interviews with forest pedagogues. On the basis of the analysis of the obtained data, it explains which geography topics are taught in forest pedagogy programs and how forest pedagogy can be used for geographic education.
Fieldwork education from perspectives of different actors

Fieldwork is a specific component of education, which has the potential in a more complex demonstration of curriculum especially in the field of geography. We can only assume whether the classical form of fieldwork education is currently in decline, but new opportunities are emerging in the changing educational environment in which fieldwork could be used. This bachelor thesis was written with the aim of finding current potentials, but also the limits of fieldwork education. Based on qualitative research in the form of interviews, we want to answer questions about the ways how is fieldwork education used on different schools and how the main benefits and constraints are perceived directly by the actors of the education system on different levels. Factors influencing the selection of geography as a field of study

This bachelor thesis focuses on investigating factors, which impact students' decision to choose Geography as their field of further study. These factors are researched from the point of view of the relationship to Geography in their family or school environment. The research was conducted through a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, answers were acquired through controlled dialogue in focus groups as well as through questionnaire surveys. The surveys were filled out by 105 students of Geography while 13 current and former students of the field participated in the focus groups.
