Stress factors and ways of coping with them among novice elementary school teachers

The aim of the thesis is to describe the subject matter of initial teachers struggling with various stress factors within the first year of their profession. First, it defines the job description of teachers by using the model of the professional competences of teachers and also briefly describes the different personality characteristics influencing the perception of the workload. Second, it gives an account of the specific stress factors and the most frequently used coping strategies for coping with the workload. And third, there are also some suggestions leading to the elimination or reduction of this challenging situation. The empirical part presents a qualitative research focusing mainly on the discovery of stress factors figuring in the first year of the Czech initial teachers and also on the identification and description of specific coping strategies using to reduce the workload. Active Seniors look at the problem of death

This Thesis deals with views of active seniors on the issue of death. The Thesis looks into problems of old age, which is a natural part of human life. In this context, the Thesis also concerns the third age and the active old age. In the Thesis, there are characterized some leisure activities for seniors to fulfil their free time in meaningful ways. Plenty of free time is a typical characteristic of a person who has left the labour market and become a pensioner. The Thesis also describes the phenomenon of death and dying. For some people nowadays, this issue is often a very uncomfortable topic. They would like to eliminate death from the whole human society because death is connected with terrible pain and suffering. In this part of the Thesis, there are introduced two real human stories. Two members of my own family who have their own experience associated with death tell us their stories to express their views on the issues of death and dying.

Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals for its Improvement

The bachelor´s thesis is focused on issues of management of the company A studio group, spol. s r.o. over years 2012-2016. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical way-out possibilities, where the basic terms are defined. The second part deals with the calculations of selected indicators of the financial analysis and the interpretation of their results. In the last part of the thesis, based on the results, there are proposed some way-out possibilities for improvement of financial situation of the company.

Hodnocení výkonnosti společnosti s využitím EFQM Excelence Model

Purpose of the article: Tento článek pojednává o procesu hodnocení výkonnosti společnosti s využitím principů EFQM Modelu Excelence. Cílem článku je zhodnotit přínosy hodnocení výkonnosti prostřednictvím EFQM Modelu Excelence a zhodnotit výkonnost vybrané společnosti S&K PUBLIC na základě metodiky Modelu START, který vychází z principů EFQM Modelu Excelence a je vhodný jako první krok na cestě k excelenci. Methodology/methods: Pro hodnocení výkonnosti vybrané společnosti byl využit dotazníkový systém Model START, který obsahoval 50 otázek rozdělených do devíti oblastí. V hodnocené společnosti bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření, prostřednictvím kterého společnost hodnotila svoji úspěšnost v devíti oblastech a na základě těchto výsledků byla vypočtena i její celková výkonnost. Článek podrobně uvádí, jak hodnocení touto formou probíhá, včetně konkrétních příkladů. Scientific aim: Primárním cílem tohoto článku je zhodnotit přínosy hodnocení výkonnosti prostřednictvím EFQM Modelu Excelence a zhodnotit výkonnost vybrané společnosti na základě metodiky Modelu START. Findings: Vyhodnocením dotazníků bylo zjištěno, ve kterých oblastech společnost vyniká, a naopak na které je třeba se zaměřit a hledat zde možnosti ke zlepšení. Na základě úspěšnosti devíti oblastí byla vypočtena i celková výkonnost společnosti, která činí 72,74 % a společnost S&K PUBLIC se tak řadí ke společnostem s vyšší dosaženou úspěšností své výkonnosti. Hodnocení výkonnosti prostřednictvím tohoto modelu tedy společnosti umožnilo identifikovat svou současnou situaci, snadněji nalézt své silné a slabé stránky a příležitosti ke zlepšení a určit budoucí nasměrování a priority, které budou v souladu s její strategií a politikou. Pro zvyšování výkonnosti a konkurenceschopnosti organizace je také vhodné výsledky hodnocení pravidelně srovnávat s konkurenčními společnostmi. Conclusions: Implementace EFQM Modelu Excelence přináší společnostem řadu pozitivních účinků a poskytuje návod na zlepšení výkonnosti společnosti na základě sebehodnocení. Výzkumy mnoha autorů prokázaly, že se společnostem podařilo zvýšit hodnotu akcií, provozní zisk, tržby a zaměstnanost. Pozitivní účinky byly pozorovány rovněž u motivace a uspokojení z práce zaměstnanců, snížení nákladů a počtu závad, zvýšení kvality produktů a tržního podílu a u spokojenosti zákazníků.

Orff-Schulwerk Approach to Folk Songs for Elementary School Education

Diploma thesis Orff-Schulwerk Approach to Folk Songs for Elementary School Education consists of two parts: theory and practice. The first theoretical describes the basic Orff-Schulwerk thesis for education at the elementary schools in the lessons of Music or in the preparatory units of children choirs. Author introduces Carl Orff biography, circumstances of Orff-Schulwerk creation and its characteristics which is compared to the psychological theories, mainly with the flow phenomenon. The thesis covers the implementation of the Orff-Schulwerk approach to the Czech Framework Education Programme. Author compares studies describing the results of Orff-Schulwerk method in comparison to other methods. The research has not confirmed the thesis, that Orff-Schulwerk has better results in the music education field. The abroad studies confirmed, that Orff-Shulwerk approach is suitable for working with children with special educational needs. On the basis of the sources and literature, the author assumes that Orff-Schulwerk can lead to more intense interest in music and culture itself. Furthermore, the author enriches Orff's approach by ideas and approaches of two known pedagogues and composers: Zontán Kodály and Émile Jaques-Dalcroze. The Performance Evaluation of the Company using the EFQM Excellence Model

The master´s thesis is focused on the performance evaluation of the company S&K PUBLIC, Ltd. The theoretical part explains the term performance and describes the most used approaches of company performance measurement. The analytical part deals with the characteristic of the company and analysis of its current situation. The last part contains the performance evaluation of the company using the START Model, which is based on the principles of The EFQM Excellence Model. In conclusion, there are suggested measures to improve the company performance based on the results of the evaluation.

Listen, you Countrymen or Treatise about Broadside Ballads

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the teachers of music at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic. It should be used as a source of information about broadside ballads, media studies. The aim of this work is to describe the role of broadside ballads in the Czech lands as "mass media" of its time, to evaluate its artistic significance and to compare its characteristics with the current media production. Furthermore, the thesis should offer the materials and ideas for lessons of music connected to the issues of the media consumption.

Počet stran: 87 Počet příloh: 10 Rok obhajoby: 2012 Keywords: physically handicapped person, polio, relationships, upbringing, difference Our thesis tries to provide an insight into the life of a woman who has been afflicted with polio since the age of 18 months. We deal with how she herself evaluates the impact of a physical handicap on her life. To what extent her life and the lives of her family have been influenced by the fact that they lived, and some still do live, in a common household and were thus, or still are, participants in life with a physical handicap. We try to show that it is possible to be a fully-fledged member of society even with a physical handicap, to be of benefit to society and in the case of our protagonist, also to be a good mother to your daughter. We try to show that many obstacles, which a physical handicap is credited with, may only play out in the mind of the handicapped person or in the minds of his or her fellow citizens.
