Optimization of powder-coating process resulting in a reduction of labor intensity of finishing components in gas insulated substation - GIS
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the optimization of powder-coating process resulting in a reduction of labor intensity during finishing components in gas insulated switchgear (GIS). The thesis is divided into five main chapters that describe characteristic and function of gas insulated switchgear (GIS), the theory of powder-coating, including mechanical and chemical pretreatment of surfaces, the studies of contemporary quality of coating process in the company ABB s.r.o. with classification of components of GIS according to their function. This chapter also contains detailed analysis of section of coating process during the processing of selected parts (housing and conductor). The thesis also contains detailed studies of masking of surfaces at coating parts, specifies the most common defects and determines the main cause presented in a well-arranged chart, design, description and realization of optimization solutions with selection and evaluation of final version. An economic comparison of contemporary condition of powder-coating process with designed optimization solution is stated at the end of the thesis.
Implementation of KDE+ statistic method
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Bíl,, Michal (advisor)
In this master's thesis I presented a new statistical method KDE+ (Kernel Density Estimation plus) that allows detecting clusters of points on the linear data. I created a self-standing application that enables anybody to try the method and apply it on their own data. One possible usage of the method and application is for the detection of critical roads sections with a high concentration of traffic accidents. Development of the application includes analysis of KDE+ statistical method, design of appropriate program structures and the implementation. Optimization were carried out to achieve higher performance after creating the prototype. At the end the software was validated by analysing vehicle collision data from the police database of the Czech Republic.
Multifunctional building
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Pospíšil, Tomáš (referee) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
This is a detached multifunctional building in the construction of commercial and residential buildings. The building is located in České Budějovice. Multifunctional building has five floors, one underground floor and a partial basement. The building is covered single-surface vegetation and double skin roof rack. On the first floor is a multifunctional building with reception vestibule, hall of which are accessible to all businesses and also the staircase space. The first floor is also a cafe, spatially separated from the multifunctional building. The café includes restrooms and stairs to get to the hinterland own cafe, where there is room for staff, toilet and are relevant warehouses drinks and other amenities. On the second floor there is a fitness center with all facilities and sanitary facilities. The gym also includes a reception and a health food store. In the third to fifth floor are residential units. A total of 5 apartments, where 2 and 3 flats are always identical. The building is based on foundation strips of plain concrete and masonry made of POROTHERM building system with a contact system of the company ISOVER. The project has been prepared complete documentation of new multifunctional building at the level of documentation for construction. Design of the building emphasizes the static and layout, fire safety, energy savings and safety in use. Drawing documentation was realized in ArchiCAD.
Gesture Recognition
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis is engaged in recognition hand gestures. The advantages and disavantages of various color models for skin color detection are discussed here. Skin is detected by look-up table. Look-up table is created from histogram of skin color and optional from Gaussian distribution, whose parameters are estimated from histogram. Hidden Markov models are used for gesture classification. The HTK toolkit have been used for working with the models. Own decoder of Hidden Markov models based on Viterbi algorithm was created for real-time gesture recognition. Several experiments were accomplished with data sets for 4 gestures. The results of the experiments are very good.
Detection, Localization and Recognition of Traffic Signs
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the localization, detection and recognition of traffic signs. The possibilities of selection of areas with possible traffic signs occurrence are analysed. The properties of different kinds of features used for traffic signs recognition are described next. It focuses on the features based on histogram of oriented gradients. Some possible classifiers are discussed, in the first place the cascade of support vector machines, which are used in resulting system. A description of the system implementation and data sets for 5 types of traffic signs is part of this thesis. Many experiments were accomplished with created system. The results of the experiments are very good. New datasets were acquired from approximately 9 hours of processed video sequences. There are about 13 500 images in these datasets.
Design of Diesel Aircraft Engine One-cylinder Engine with Contra Rotating Pistons
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with design of crankshaft for two stroke opposed piston diesel engine. In the theoretical research part a history, comparison with competitive engines in nowadays light aircrafts and the advantages of opposed piston engines are mentioned. In the practical part the balancing is chosen and CAD model of crankshaft is designed. Geometry of this model is than checked for fatigue damage fallout. In the final part was chosen the propeller and appropriate reduction gearbox.
Bridge over the Kyselá voda brook valley
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Řehulka, Martin (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of the ghrinder bridge over the Kyselá voda brook valley. The main topic is static calculation of supporting construction of six span structure. Two studies were executed and the second option, pre-stressed girder bridge was chosen. The lenght of the spans is 27 + 6 x 35 + 27 m. Static model and effect of loading are solved in software Scia Engineer. Reviews are calculated by hand according to current standards.
Titania suspensions for material printing
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Drbohlavová, Jana (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with the preparation of stable suspensions of titanium dioxide applicable for material printing. A wide range of dispersive environments stabilizing the nanoparticles of titanium dioxide was investigated. Commercially available aqueous dispersion and dry titania powder was used as the source of TiO2.The properties of prepared suspensions were evaluated and the most suitable suspension was used for material printing. This thesis focused on suspension‘s stability, sizes of particles dispersed in them, and in their rheological behavior. Furthermore, we analyzed the studied the properties of printed layers by SEM, optical microscopy, DLS and analytical centrifuge. We also evaluated the photocatalytic activity by monitoring the oxidation rate of coumarin to 7-hydroxycoumarin.
Design of mobile chipper
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Šuranský, Michal (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of a mobile chipper that uses mass-produced compact tractors VARI as its energy sources. This Bachelor thesis is divided into four main chapters: a description of the basic technology used for processing natural materials that is characteristic of this type of equipment, the current state of structural details of compact tractors VARI and their equipment, a detailed study of technical aspects of the compact tractor providing the power, various drafts of possible solutions with a presentation of a functional home-made prototype, and a detailed description of the final version of the design. The thesis also includes an approximate calculation of the maximal possible diameter of the processed material and a technical drawing.
