Community Centre Roškovce

This thesis deals with the problems associated with the relationship between Romany socially excluded localities and the majority in Slovakia. It shows how the Community Centre Roškovce manages to improve the situation in the village. The author's view is not only a view of a social worker, because the author of this thesis studies the Romistic (Romany studies) at Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University at the same time. She used the knowledge in Romany language and Romany culture; she collected data during observation. Two of the Centre's goals are: 1. to provide services to the whole community in Roškovce, and 2. improving the relationship between the Romany community in Roškovce and the Slovak majority in the neighbourhood. Exchange Programme

This thesis is to describe and evaluate the Needles & syrretes exchange programme, which is provided for the intravenous drug users. This work outlines the origin of such programmes in the world and in the Czech republic and it also describes the negative impacts of sharing the syringe material and the most intravenously abused drug in the Czech republic. The thesis elaborates the Needles exchange programme and it's implementation in the o.s. Sananim with an emphasis on specific methods and procedures. The practical part of this thesis uses interviews with the Exchange programme clients to evaluate client's satisfaction, programme utilization and possible negative ouverruns. Bullying in Secondary School Youth

The bachelor work deals with manifestations of bullying in the secondary school youth in Jičín. It is divided into a theoretical part (general) and a practical part (research investigation). In the theoretical part I elucidate the problem of bullying, its causes, forms, types, and also its development. To clear up the manifestations of bullying, it is necessary to alert you to those participating in bullying, especially to aggressors and their victims. In the last chapter of the theoretical part I devote myself to prevention (what a teacher and parent can do against bullying). In the practical part I establish the occurrence of bullying, student awareness of bullying, and who the students trust. This investigation is carried out by means of questionnaires filled out by second-class students from three secondary schools in Jičín. I analyse the individual questions in the questionnaire-type of investigation and I work out a table for each question with an interconnected discussion. Pedagogic Model of Teen Challenge

This work is trying to describe a pedagogic model of Teen Challenge organization. The program is focused on helping drug addicted people. In the process after a man becomes addicted his personality could become completely disintegrated. A journey back from this condition of bond is really difficult but not impossible. Teen Challenge declares the necessity of renewing a spiritual aspect of personality and furthermore to keep focused on personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is a way how to bring change which should be visible in other aspects of life as well. Further more education and pedagogic help is needed, too. Education and pedagogy should form the individual to reach positive results. The target of this work is to find our to what extend Teen Challenge pedagogic model influences an individual in the process of learning skills necessary to be able to live new lifestyle without drugs, alcohol and destruction and other unwanted elements. Since I consider "living the good values" a key factor in the therapy of the drug addicted, the work is focused on estimating a list of values necessary after finishing the program, its manifestations and ways the program contributed to it. Motivating Alcohol Addicts to Change

The aim of this work is to show that the theme of motivation is a central topic in case of an alcohol addict. Dependence has many dimensions as well as a man has. It hits and changes the whole personality and represents a complicated structure of factors which transcends any medical concept. The goal of this work is to confirm both theoretically and practically dependence concerns human spirituality. Furthermore, it aims to show how complicated the phenomenon of motivation is and to point out connections between the factors influencing changes of an addict and his will and effort to change as well. That is why I focus on personality as a whole at first.. Secondly, I put forth a survey of possible approaches to motivation which I regard acomplicated and complete structure, not only within a frame of psychology but regarding philosophy, sociology and spirituality as well. Like I did on the topic of dependence, I focused on links between motivation and spirituality, too, aiming to account on pastoration possibilities in this field. Prevention of HIV/AIDS and House of Light in Prague During 2005 - 2008

In meiner Arbeit widme ich mich der Problematik HIV/AIDS. Ich versuche auf Erheblichkeit der Probleme und auf die Hauptfragen der Prävention HIV/AISD in der Tschechischen Republik aufmerksam machen. Der Zielpunkt meiner Arbeit ist die Beschreibung und die Bewertung von Dienst für HIV-positive Menschen und für AIDS-Kranken. Diese Dienste ermöglicht Prager "Dům světla". Ich beschreibe die Entwicklung in den letzten Jahren, Erfolge, Probleme und auch Voraussetzungen für weitere Verbesserung der Prävention in der Tschechischen Republik. Die ersten Kapitel sprechen von den Hauptfragen des Phenomens HIV/AIDS und von der Prävention in der Tschechischen Republik. Nächste Kapitel betreffen die Tätigkeit der "Tschechischen Gemeinschaft AIDA Hilfe", die der Begründer von "Dům světla" ist. Kapitel 6 - 10 sind der Tätigkeit von "Dům světla" gewidmet und zugleich sprechen von Veränderungen, zu denen in der letzten Jahren kommt. In der letzten Kapitel 11. vergleiche ich die Stellungen der Klienten zu der Tätigkeit von "Dům světla" und ich spreche davon, welche Dienste in Jahren 2005 - 2008 möglich waren. In der Beilage sind Daten zum Thema, die ich im Verlauf der Verarbeitung versammelt habe. There is actual conditon of providing social services for homeless people in Pardubice in this graduation work, confront with the needs of these people that are expressed in the questionnaire. Social work and its distinction according the structure of service purpose in the institutions of social services for homeless people in Pardubice is described very properly in this graduation work. There is sollution of disproportion between offer and demand for individual social instituons in Pardubice suggested in the end of this graduation work. The main change would be in the origin of new institutions such as Lodging house for women, Subliminal institution for homeless people, Social and sanitary institution for homeless people and Housing for seniors and deseased homeless people in the end of this graduation work. I describe smoking among children in my work. Ar first I focused the children's smoking in sedlčansko, that is a place where me and my family live. There are history of smoking and tabaco, tabaco area, types of tabaco productsand smoking generally and the cigarette tabaco are described in the text. I mean kind of dependence on tabaco models and pronations for use tabaco models too. I wrote also about negatives and tabaco's influence to the human healthy in my work. The pasive smoking and its deffect to the human healthy is ment there too.There is the questionary in the practical part. This questionary is for young people around Sedlčany town.
