So that I am writing this paper. He, San Minn has broken out the mainstream of Burmese painting field, he never made business paintings as well. He keeps his belief on the art of paints and he is always finding for the new way to make his paintings. His materials are very different from other Burmese painter artists’ materials. His style is unique in Burmese paintings. So I can get a chance to study of his style, ideas, ways of thinking and his determination on the art works. My paper can show a painter artist’s life who grew up under the military rule for 50 years and the situation and history of Burmese painting field. Then not only people who are studying the painting subject, but also other people can know about the subject of Burmese painting and field of artists. I dare say that my paper must be colorful and fruitful. As a painter artist, it seems that he wants his audience to feel his materials but he rare to show his real life behind the pictures. For me, I can get a chance to know about his real life for my thesis paper. xxxxxxxxxx Thesis Statement My thesis can be useful for everybody who is interested in Burmese contemporary art field. This is the biggest chance to read about one of the most famous, important and significant artists and art movements of Burma. His paintings are reflecting his journey through over 40 years of censorship, but he was not afraid to tackle political and social issues. Many of San Minn's art works are based on autobiographical, making sharp social commentary on the popular culture, social values and scenario circumstances where he has lived in. xxxxxxxxxx

Inside the Surroundings
Ryneš, Zdeněk ; Vojtěchovský, Miloš (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is a form of own personal space which is confronted with scene visuality used in film industry. It is about linking an existing and fictive (illusionary) environment. I can see the cinematographic space as an image of its physical equivalent. I do search for scenes in existing movies, which are charting the interiors of environments, where the movie is being set. I do use the camera moves and the ways of seeing the immediate surroundings as they are used in those scenes and I repeat them in my own private apartment. Screenplay structure comes from my apartment dispositions. The final dual channel video leads the spectactor through two levels of space in the same time.
Hyperspeed Reach - Audiovisual Performance
Kočišová, Lenka ; Vojtěchovský, Miloš (referee) ; Skočovský, Luděk (referee) ; Palla, Marian (referee) ; Ruller, Tomáš (advisor)
This dissertation thesis describes the phenomenon of audiovisual performance in different connotations. A substantial part is devoted to psychological survey into my own subconscious and subsequently to metaphorical processing of this introspection. An important part of the work is a resume of the general knowledge of the physical properties and its metaphorical application on mental and creative processes. This analysis and explanation of internal cognitive models are implemented in terms of the study of relationships, interactions based on cooperation or confrontation, but also the inability to grasp the objective reality from the subjective position due to the merged distinctions of real and fictional. The importance of audiovisual performance is also studied in linear perspective of history, in order to point out the general principle of repetition patterns, which reveals that audiovisual performances is an activity which is a necessary expression of life itself and not just the concept in the field of arts.

The Electrical Enterprises of the City of Prague and Avant-garde Films
Krejčová, Kateřina ; PETŘÍČEK, Miroslav (advisor) ; VOJTĚCHOVSKÝ, Miloš (referee)
This paper, based on archival and period media research, tries to describe the relationship between the Electrical Enterprises of the City of Prague and the Czechoslovak avant-garde in the 1920's and 1930's. The Electrical Enterprises of the City of Prague helped to carry out several exceptional film and intermedia projects through their regular advertising contracts, including the film Praha v záři světel (Prague by Night, 1928), Zdeněk Pešánek's light-kinetic sculpture (1930) or the short experimental film Světlo proniká tmou (Light that Penetrates Darkness, 1931). There are also screenplays in the company archives which have never been realized but demonstrate much about the relationship between advertising and art in the interwar period. The author emphasizes the role of the public's general fascination with electrification, artificial light in the modern city and new forms in the collectively shared public space.
