Císařová, Kristýna ; Krol, Ellen Jacoba (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Lucie (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to describe the phenomenon of Tijl Uilenspiegel character in the context of the Flemish literature after 1867. The thesis focuses on the comparison of two pieces of work of the Flemish literature - the novel De legende van Tijl Uilenspiegel by Charles De Coster of 1867 and its adaptation into a play by Hugo Claus with the emphasis on analysis of the influence of the Flemish Movement on the message of the work. The first chapter describes the medieval stuff around the character Tijl Uilenspiegel and brings an overview of important adaptation of this theme between 1967 and 1965. A two lever analysis of the novel is followed by chapters which are focused on the description of the social and political factors of the Flemish Movement in the 19th century and in the first half of the twentieth century. These are a literary text analysis and an analysis of the occurrence of the references to the Flemish nationalism. These two levels of the novel are later compared with the play of Hugo Claus. The literary analysis includes the analysis of the plot, narrative mode, time, place and motives of the novel. The reference occurrence analysis is divided into two groups - direct references (occurrence of the word Flanders and all the variations of this word) and indirect references...

Literary analysis of the book De Taal Der Liefde by Gerard Kornelis van het Reve
Hořejší, Kateřina ; Krol, Ellen Jacoba (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Lucie (referee)
The topic of my thesis is the book De Taal Der Liefde by Gerard Kornelis van het Reve. I worked with the version, in which there is the chapter De Brieven Aan Een Kunstbroeder. That means that I used the edition of De Taal Der Liefde, Athenaeum - Polak & Van Gennep, Amsterdam 1972, 1st edition published in February 1972. my original plan was to write about The Love Trilogy, that means De Taal Der Liefde (1972), Lieve jongens (1973) and Het Lieve Leven (1974), but as I worked on, I realized that that topic is too wide and that this thesis does not allow me to write as extensively as I would have liked to, so I ended up analyzing just the one book. The reason why I chose this very book is the period in which it was written. The book can be placed into the fourth period of the writer's work, to the '70s, when he started writing in form of letters. This period is usually called the disharmonic romantic period. His language gets ceremonial and the form gets more attention. The form is one of the many reasons why this book is so interesting. As far as methodology of my work is concerned, I used the books by Erica van Boven and Gillis Dorleijn, Literair mechaniek. Inleiding tot de analyse van verhalen en gedichten, and the book by J.van Luxemburg, M.Bal en W.Weststeijn, Over literatuur. This analysis is an ergo-...
Literary analysis of Orchis militaris, a book by Ivo Michiels
Poláková, Jana ; Krol, Ellen Jacoba (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Lucie (referee)
A 'Type-ideal novel' (een 'idealtype van roman')', is according to the Flemish writer Ivo Michiels such a novel, 'that a film which can not be filmized of brought into the concrete milieu. It's a novel that does not want to compete with consumer industry, based on abundance of information, especially in the film.' (Janssens, 5) In the thesis Literary Analysis of Orchis militaris, a book by Ivo Michiels we have analysed how does a novel look like, written by an author of such a vision. The focus ov this thesis is the literary analysis of Orchis militaris (1968), which includes both formal and thematic analysis. Moreover, I integrated this book into the literary-historical context, which indicates the connection between this book and the Flemish, Dutch and world literature - especially important was the experimental literature of 50th and 60th and the French nouveau roman. During the research I managed to define the typical features of this work, a.o. the expanding sentences, almost forming a labyrinth, not censored inner monologue, very slow time, unclear boundaries between individuals and the images, the characters, which do not have any character - the only things we knoě about them, are the situations in which the characters are, there is no perspective of future or direction of movement, in the book is...
The contemporary Dutch rural novel
Doanová, Renáta ; Sedláčková, Lucie (advisor) ; Krol, Ellen Jacoba (referee)
in English This bachelor thesis deals with the contemporary Dutch rural novel. The main questions are: 1. What features characteristic of the Dutch rural novel can be found in the more recent novels Joe Speedboot (2005) by Tommy Wieringa (in English Joe Speedboat, 2010) and Boven is het stil (2006) by Gerbrand Bakker, (in English The Twin, 2008)? a) Are the characteristic features, as described in Dutch literary history books and glossaries of literary terms, present in the analysed books? b) Have the analysed books characteristics attributed to them by the article of literary critic Xandra Schutte? c) Can we identify any other characteristic features? Can we speak of a new tradition of the contemporary Dutch rural novel? The theoretical part is concerned with classification of Dutch rural novel in the literary and historical context. In this part the Dutch rural novel is defined and the characteristic are also mentioned. The theoretical part continues with a summary of the development of Dutch rural novel from its beginning to the present day. The corpus consists of two contemporary Dutch rural novels - Joe Speedboot by Tommy Wieringa and Boven is het stil by Gerbrand Bakker. They are analysed using the structural analysis. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to place the analysed novels within...
Involvement of deaf children in leisure activities: a probe into the current situation in the Czech Republic
Schmidtová, Julie ; Hudáková, Andrea (advisor) ; Sedláčková Půlpánová, Lucie (referee)
Most of the current Czech theseses dealing with the education of deaf children focus their attention on the so-called school Education, taking place at school, but they neglect out-of- school or leisure education. At the same time, it is the "leisure activities" that undoubtedly have a significant impact on children's lives - including deaf children. The bachelor thesis is closely focused on the involvement of deaf children in leisure activities in elementary art schools, youth centres and units of the organization Junák - Czech Scout. The aim of this thesis is to chart the participation of deaf children in leisure and educational activities during 2017-2020, to find out whether support provisions are used and to describe what influences, whether subjective or objective, affect the involvement of deaf children in the activities of the monitored "leisure centers". Key words Youth centre, Scout, Deaf culture, deaf children, support provision, leisure activities, leisure time, hobby education, Elementary art school, elementary art education
Possibility of further use of elderberry marc
Sedláčková, Lucie ; Pořízka, Jaromír (referee) ; Vespalcová, Milena (advisor)
This Diploma thesis talks about the production of concentrates and lyophilisate from the extract of elderberry moldlings (elderberry, Sambuvus nigra L.) and by determination by chosen chemical characteristics of these products. The theoretical part includes the botanical characteristics of the plant species Sambucus nigra L. Next is the part that is dedicated to biologicaly active substances found in elderberry and it‘s possible usage in the food industry. Next is the part where the extraction, purification and indentification of anthocyanic dyes are described. In the next part is the analyrical method HPLC described, including the description of instrumentation. The last part talks about the description of the used methods: methods for the concentration of the extract, UV-VIS spectrophotometry, determination of phenolic compounds, determination of dry matter, determination of active acidity and the overall titrating acidity. The experimental part contained the optimalization of the process of producing the extract from elderberry moldings. The extract obtained was then concentrated for preservation and characterization purposes based on selected chemical properties. The total content of anthocyanin dyes was chosen as a quality parameter. The most suitable process for the preparation of the extract was chosen to be the ratio of moldings and solvent 1:2, 4 (m/V). The most suitable solvent was chosen to be a mixture of water and ethanol in a ratio of 1:1 (V/V). According to the needs of the submitter, an extract with the use of water as the extraction agent is also provided. The prepared extract was then concentrated on a vacuum evaporator or lyophilized for storage purposes. The dye degradation while using the evaporator was the lowest in a 40 ° C water bath. The final products were characterized by the determination of soluble solids, pH, titration acidity, total phenolic compounds and total anthocyanin dyes. The anthocyanin pigments contained identified by liquid chromatography are: cyanidine-3-sambubioside, cyanidine-3-glucoside, cyanidine-3-sambubioside-5-glucoside, and cyanidine-3,5-diglucoside The total content of anthocyanins in the concentrate was determined to be equivalent to cyanidine-3-glucoside at 2.8 gl-1 and in the lyophilisate 2.5 gl-1.
The deaf character as "the other" in the Dutch literature at the beginning of the 21st Century
Šmejkalová, Klára ; Sedláčková, Lucie (advisor) ; Kozmanová, Irena (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the perception and self-perception of deaf characters in Dutch literature of the beginning of the 21st Century. Three books are analyzed: Ik heb mijn naam terug by Yvonne Kemink, Doof by Siska Mulder and Kolja by Arthur Japin. The methodology is based on the work of Toni Morrison and Maaike Meijer who compiled eight 'othering' strategies. Meijer uses them to analyze the (post)colonial literature, in this thesis, they are adjusted to deafness. It turned out that deaf characters show certain similarities with the 'other' as it is known from the (post)colonial theory. They also show that the situation described in Ik heb mijn naam terug is different from the situation in the other two books. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
