Práce vychází z teoretických a metodologických základu kritické analýzy diskurzu. Na základe vybraných mediálních textu dokazuje, že reprezentace událostí v médiích je podávána z urcité perspektivy. Nevyváženost a predpojatost deníku Mladá fronta DNES dokazuje analýzou intertextuality a na reprezentaci sociálních cinitelu ve sporech o karikatury islámského proroka Mohameda (v období od konce ledna a do konce února 2006). Práce se dotýká teoretického základu mediálních studií s durazem na roli médií pri formování a udržování islamofobie a predsudku ve spolecnosti. The thesis results from theory and method of Critical Discourse Analysis. It demonstrates the perspective of media representation of events in selected media texts. The analysis of intertextuality and representation of social actors prove unbalance and bias in daily newspapers Mladá fronta DNES representing Muhammad cartoon controversy (in the end of January until February 2006). The thesis is also concerned with theoretical background of media studies with emphasis on the role of mass media in forming and sustaining of islamophobia and prejudices in society.
