Using of elastomers in forming technology
Drda, Ondřej ; Peterková, Eva (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The purpose of this graduation thesis is to investigate and summarize the usage of elastomeric forming, which represent a uniqe method of cold forming in which the elastomeric pads overtake the function of the solid part in a forming machine. The most distinctive feature of elastomeric forming is its low price and a wide range of usage. It can be applied also to metal materials with finished surface. However the major disadvantage of this method is the need of an enormous pressing force. The elastomeric pads fall into two main categories – the open and closed ones. The open type is mostly used for metal sheets bending and roll bending, whereas the closed type finds even greater usage in processes like shearing, drawing (Guerin stamping), deep drawing (Marform, Maslenikov technique) and radial expanding. The thesis further describes the elastomers´ technical features, deformation withstandings, forming principles and their general usage.

Diploma thesis deals with the design of producing the cover drain. The cover serves to catch impurities while draining liquids. The part is made of 1.4301 stainless steel, using 1-mm thick sheet metal. The size of the annual production series is 30,000 units. As an optimal method of production, progressive cutting and shallow drawing were selected in a combined and a one-purpose tool. Technological and design calculations were performed according to which tools were designed. The LENP 100 press was selected considering the total required pressing force. The cost of one piece production was calculated at 18.91 CZK and the production becomes profitable with annual production higher than 19,478 units per year.
Increasing the life of blanking punch by coating
Šplíchal, Jan ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis presents possible methods for increasing the lifespan of cutting tools made of steel 19 436 designed for cutting stator and rotor plates made of silicon steel. These sheets are characterized by high hardness, which adversely affects the edges of the scissors. Experimental hardness measurement on delivered samples has verified the actual heat treatment on the surface and inside the scraper. The measured value 62 HRC corresponds to the input requirements. Based on the literature study, a combination of chemical – heat treatment and coating was chosen as the most appropriate method. In order to preserve the microstructure of the punch produced after the heat treatment, it was necessary to apply the coating by physical vapor deposition, which is characterized by low deposition temperatures. The FeinAl coating will be applied by cathodic arc deposition and is primarily designed to protect tools and cutting tools.
Gear production design
Rusková, Marie ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a gear, which is located on the rear half-axle of the tractor. Due to the high torque transmission, it will be made of 12 061 steel. After assessing the various production technologies, the forging on the vertical crank press were chosen as the most optimal. Forging was designed according to the standard ČSN 42 9030. The semi-finished product is going to be a rod with a diameter of 125 mm, which will be divided by cutting to a length of 219 mm. Forging will take place in three operations. Based on the highest calculated required force, which came out to 63.16 MN, the LZK 6500 machine was chosen. An LDO 315 A/S trimming press will be used to remove the protrusion and membrane.
