Artificial Intelligence in Strategic Computer Games

This work covers with artificial intelligence of strategy computer games, however many of these methods are usable in other areas. These are different methods used in deciding (finite state machina, fuzzy logic, Markov Process), planning (Goal-oriented action planning, Montecarlo planning, Case-based planning) and machine learning ( Reinforcement leasing, Decision Learning and Neural Networks). Objective of this thesis is to study this methods from different sources and explain their base principle. Then few of this methods resolve in more details and implement them (goal oriented planning and state machine). This thesis focuses on game engine ORTS, which is used in implementing and testing methods.
Estimation of Object Parameters from Images

Rapid expansion of communication technologies in last decade caused increased volume of information which is beeing generated and shared by people and organisations. It is permanently harder to identify relevant content today because of absence of tools and techniques which may support mass information management. As today's media have rather multimedial character image information is even more important. This project describes software for automatic estimation of predefined object parameters from images. A C++ implementation of this algorithm is also described.
Barcodes Reading Library

This work deals with the decoding of different types of barcodes in the image. Selected types of bar codes are described in detail. Presents an approach to decode linear and matrix bar codes. The practical part deals with the design and implementation of software library for reading selected types of bar codes in Java.
Online Image Editor

The purpose of this thesis is create application for online editation of static image. The main objective is user-friendly interface and simplicity. Basic graphic operations are available. The application allows you to create user accounts and the related ability to manipulate and share images. It is based on Adobe Flash and programming language ActionScript 3.0.
Embedded System for Orienteers Race Organization Support

This thesis deals with the design and production of prototype terminal for supporting organization within orienteering races. The aim of this work is to integrate all important computer facilities, currently used in the practice of orienteering races or training, into a portable compact embedded system in the size of a common terminal for accepting credit cards. The secondary objective of this thesis is creation of cross-platform Open Source library for communication with SPORTIdent control units.
Cycling/Running Training Diary Using GPS Data

The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a cross-platform application of training diary using GPS data. The first part is dedicated to theory of sport training, keeping a training diary and GPS technology. Document Archiving System

The goal of this thesis is to create a system for conversion of paper archives into digital form, creating new archives and management of these archives. Application allows to collect image data using external device and storing it into the database. Another important feature is working in online and offline mode. Application is implemented in C# programming language. After start it cooperates with MySQL server and it uses third party application for sharing data.
Fire Detection in Images and Video

This bachelor's thesis deals with fire detection in image and video. Attention is paid to the existing methods and known approaches to fire detection. Based on the analysis of the described methods, a fire detector, monitoring the attributes of its colour and motion, is designed, implemented and tested. The implemented detector achieves true positive detection rate of up to 90%.
Database Archive of Medical Image Data

The work deals with the management and display of medical images. Analyzes the problem of obtaining information from medical DICOM and efficient storage. The system is designed as an application with a graphical client. Provides an interface for importing data in a format DICOM and interface for retrieval of data in the database and display them. The implementation was done in Java with support for SQLite.
Vegetation Detection in Images

This project focuses on detection of vegetation in digital image and describes approaches to detect vegetation. Created aplication uses grass detection method in video in real time. There is a new mean of evaluation of the method proposed in this project, using commonly used pixel by pixel detection and also a new detection approach, segment detection. Functionality of the application is checked by set of test images. The thesis is concluded by comparing results of those two approaches. Success of correctly detected vegetation ranges up to 86.32 %.
