The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the differences in pre-senior education (self- education, financial security, maintenance of social relationships, social activities etc.) among the representatives of generations X, Y and Z. The attention of the thesis is focused on old age and aging including different types of aging and biological, psychological, and social manifestations of the old age. Demographic situation in the Czech Republic and impacts of the population aging on society is included in the topic of old age and aging. The thesis focuses on pre-senior education, i.e. preparation and adaptation on aging and old age and pro-senior education within which the intergenerational learning is examined. For better understanding of the whole problematics the characteristics of the generations X, Y and Z are described. Quantitative research was conducted in the form of questionnaire, which was distributed to the representatives of generations X, Y and Z. Possibilities of education and activation of seniors in social facilities

The diploma thesis is focused on mapping the possibilities and availability of education and activation of seniors in social services of selected social facilities in the South Moravian Region. The thesis monitors the offer of educational and activation programmes for the elderly in the South Moravian Region, especially in the Hodonín and Kyjov districts, their implementation and positive or negative impact on the elderly. In the theoretical part, I focus on the topic of old age, a very topical issue of ageing, the definition of essential educational and activation programmes and their importance and benefits, the quality of the programmes offered and the education and activation of seniors in the context of the applied science discipline. I mention the participants in the programs, highlighting the need for expertise in the field and a brief breakdown of the programs. In the practical part, I will focus on the offer of activation activities and education of seniors in specific facilities in the South Moravian Region. The use of co-teaching in the education in the Czech Republic

The work focuses on the investigation of the usage of co-teaching methods in English language classes at the primary school in Prague (respectively at the second level of the selected primary school). It deals with the specifics of co-teachers' cooperation and the implementation of co- teaching in English classes in a Czech school with a focus on examining how the competences defined for effective co-teaching are fulfilled. The theoretical part of the work is concentrated on the introduction to the nature of co-teaching nowadays and on the defining the co-teaching characteristics. In the practical part, the data obtained through interview methods, questionnaires and observations are represented to analyse the course of co-teaching in English classes and to find out at what level co-teachers master the competences defined for effective co-teaching.
Educational needs of state employees implementing the consumer protection agenda

This diploma thesis has the goal of identifying the educational needs of civil servants carrying out administration of consumer protection for Czech Telecommunication Office and to propose suitable educational activities for this group of employees on the basis of an executed analysis of educational needs, in the interests of improving the effectiveness of administration. For the purpose of complex understanding of the issue of educating civil servants, the first part of this diploma thesis discusses the general characteristics of corporate education. It also explains the concept of competence and describes the possibility of utilising competency modelling in personnel processes. The chapter devoted to the education of civil servants in the context of current legal regulations, is an integral element of the theoretical part of this diploma thesis. The empirical part of this paper is devoted to the methodology. It defines the research goal and research questions. It also describes the entire process of the executed analysis of educational needs, from the pre- preparatory phase, to proposal of measures. The needs of vulnerable older people in home health care

The present dissertation, which focuses on the needs of particularly vulnerable older people in home health care, was written within the framework of the PhD study in Longevity at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University and was carried out as part of the project supported by the Charles University Grant Agency "Met and Unmet Needs of Particularly Vulnerable Older Patients in Home and Inpatient Care" (GA UK No. 760219). The overall aim of the three researcher project, where I was the research coordinator, was to clarify the needs of particularly vulnerable older patients in both home health care and inpatient care, including the needs of patients living with dementia. The aim of this dissertation was to identify the needs of vulnerable older patients in home health care. This dissertation consists of four papers. At the time of writing, two articles had been published in peer-reviewed journals and two articles were under review. The thesis has chapters in the introduction and conclusion that set the professional articles in context, creating a comprehensive view of the needs of particularly vulnerable older people in home health care. Integrating health a social services for patiens with incurable illness

The thesis deals with the integration of health and social services for patients with incurable diseases. In the theoretical part I define notions of aging and old age and in connection with that I point out the aspects that the old age and the aging bring. In another area of the theoretical part I explicate the laws and regulations of the Czech Republic relating to the given issue. I also provide a statistical overview of the development of the population, diseases and places of death and in relation to these factors I mention the principles of the palliative care. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to an overview of available researches dealing with the integration of health and social care in both the Czech Republic and abroad. In the empirical part using qualitative research I examine how individual research respondents perceive linking health and social services in the care of a patient with an incurable disease in homes for the elderly, and what possibilities and obstructions are there according to themselves with the provision of palliative care in the links between health and social services.
