Vacková, Adéla ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Bertlová, Barbora (referee)
The bachelor's thesis addresses the topic of developing tactile perception in preschool-aged children who are visually impaired. The study involved children with visual impairments and their educators from the Jaroslav Ježek Kindergarten. For comparison, interviews and observations were also conducted with children without visual impairments. Marková, Jana ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
According to Act No. 111/1998 Coll., universities are required to provide persons with various types of disabilities suitable conditions for studying at a university. This support is not specified in detail in the Act, so each school decides individually what steps to take in this area, but there is an effort to gradually harmonize methods. This thesis is focused on the support provided specifically to students with visual impairments. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the main idea is to describe what kind of support students with visual impairments need and what are its possibilities in the field of education. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to find out what kind of support is currently provided to students in the Czech Republic and how it is used and evaluated by them. The qualitative method of a structured interview was used to answer these questions. Responses show that students are provided with support commensurate with their needs and none of the respondents feel that professional centers do not provide such support sufficiently. They are helped by the activity, independence, and creativity of teaching assistants if they are willing to help. In the area of preparation for teaching, in the context of cooperation with teaching assistants, it is recommended to set goals beforehand, with which all its participants will become familiar.
