Methodology of investigation of the criminal act of robbery
Vrkotová, Alice ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
My thesis entitled "Methodology of investigation of the criminal act of robbery" focuses on the individual steps undertaken by the police from the moment the offence is reported until the prosecution is filed with the state attorney. The main focus of my work is to describe, in the greatest detail possible and with attention to the given practice and formal faultlessness, the most important procedural steps, both in the verification phase, i.e. prior to the commencement of the criminal prosecution, and in the phase of investigation. A particular emphasis is placed on the examination of the crime scene and subsequent criminological evaluation thereof. The thesis comprises six chapters; the therd chapter discusses initial verification acts, from the commencement of the criminal procedure according to section 158, paragraph 3 of the penal code, treatment of the victims, particularly the above mentioned examination of the crime scene. The fourth chapter that discusses investigation is crucial. The chapter outlines the individual steps of the investigator in logical sequence, i.e. decision about the commencement of the criminal prosecution (section 160 of the penal code, interview with the accused and witnesses, criminological examination of the tracks collected at the crime scene or uncovered as part...
The use of an agent within a criminal procedure
Dvořák, Marek ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
1 POUŽITÍ AGENTA V TRESTNÍM ŘÍZENÍ THE USE OF AN AGENT WITHIN A CRIMINAL PROCEDURE Mgr. Marek Dvořák Rigorózní práce (2019) ABSTRACT This work deals with one of the effective tools for fighting with an organized crime, which is the use of an agent in criminal proceedings according to the § 158e of the Criminal Procedure Code. The use of an agent is one of the operative searching means that are exhaustively defined by procedural law. It is a strongly offensive instrument with very complicated legal regulation, which sometimes (as practically the only one) makes possible to obtain objective evidence directly from the complex environment of conspiratorially organized criminal groups. At the same time, the use of an agent often collides with a high standard of basic human rights guaranteed by national law and by international law as well. Therefore, this issue also requires an examination of its international aspects including the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. This thesis is divided (without an introduction and conclusion) into four major chapters. In these chapters, there are discussed all relevant issues in its entirety, including less common or controversial issues. Within the individual parts, the author is expressing his opinions de lege ferenda that should be considered. All of these...
Arbitration
Čeladník, Filip ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
1 The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the main aspects of the Czech legal regulation of the arbitration proceeding under the view of the particular Western European national and international legal orders. By doing so, the author strives for critical review of the arbitration proceeding as per the Czech legal order under the worldwide perspectives and with the prism of modern Western European and world legal theory of the arbitration proceeding. The intention of such research is to determine if the contemporary Czech legal regulation of the arbitration proceeding is in conformity with the modern theory and practice of the arbitration proceeding. This thesis also aims to answer a question whether the Czech courts shall have the right to review the application of law by the arbitrators. The author is seeking to answer this question by comparing the the Czech, or rather Continental system of law with the law of England and Wales.

Blašková, Dominika ; Zimčíková, Eva (advisor) ; Pokladníková, Jitka (referee)
ATTITUDES AND KNOWLEDGE OF HPV INFECTION AND VACCINATION Author: Dominika Blašková Supervisor: PharmDr. Eva Zimčíková, Ph.D. INTRODUCTION Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a DNA virus. The virus causes benign and malignant diseases of men and women such as laryngeal papillomatosis, genital warts, oropharyngeal carcinoma, cervical cancer, penile cancer and anus cancer. HPV can be prevented by appropriate precautionary measures. The main preventative method is vaccination against HPV. Besides vaccination, regular screening is necessary to detect premalignant changes on time. AIMS The aim of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis was to summarize the information about HPV, the diseases caused by human papillomavirus and vaccination against HPV, the main preventive measure. The primary aim of the practical part was to find out the level of HPV awareness among girls and boys and diseases caused by HPV. The secondary aim of the practical part was to find out opinions on HPV vaccination and determine the rate of vaccination against HPV among young people in Slovakia. METHODS The method of quantitative research taken in the form of a questionnaire was used in the diploma thesis. The survey was realized at two secondary schools in Svidník, Slovakia. The age range of respondents was 15-20 years. The data...

Analysis of the Dispensing Care Provided by Pharmacies in Hradec Kralove Author: Aneta Ličková Supervisor: PharmDr. Jan Kostřiba, Ph.D. Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Hradec Kralove Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy Introduction: Nowadays, a high professional level of dispensing activities is an indispensable prerequisite for the proper work of a pharmacist. A pharmacist is also very often the last link in the chain of healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of a patient and thus has a unique opportunity to detect any potential errors or risk of a given therapy. Regarding the self- medication, the pharmacist is often the only person, with whom the patient consults his therapy. Objective: The aim of this thesis is to analyse dispensing activities provided by pharmacies in Hradec Kralove. Methodology: Analysis of a dispensing activity of a prescription-only drug and over-the- counter product. The list of pharmacies was identified through the SÚKL database. The data collected during the visits were from the 32 pharmacies in total. The data collection tool was mystery shopping that followed thoroughly prepared scenario. The customer was a 26-year-old woman in the 10th week of pregnancy who had come up to pharmacies with a prescription for tetracycline antibiotics and she...
GC analysis of drugs with utilization of ionic liquid as a stationary phase I
Bärová, Karolína ; Kastner, Petr (advisor) ; Kučera, Radim (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis Supervisor: PharmDr. Petr Kastner, Ph.D. Student: Karolína Bärová Title of Thesis: GC analysis of drugs with utilization of ionic liquid as a stationary phase I In this thesis, we focused on testing of three commercially obtainable columns with ionic liquids as stationary phases, which we tested on a model sample of ibuprofen and its four pharmacopoeial impurities after derivatization by alkylchloroformates. The results obtained on these columns were compared to results obtained on column with conventional nonpolar stationary phase. Furthermore, we tried to describe and explain retention mechanisms, which were important in these separations, we also tried to optimize methods for our individual columns and extract our derivatives into a nonpolar phase, with the view to diminishing the harmful effect of samples on columns. We appraise the results obtained on ionic liquid stationary phases and on a nonpolar stationary phase as quite comparable. The analysis of our derived samples can be performed on all tested ionic liquid columns and the analysis can be optimized for all of them. Apart from the change in selectivity on the most polar stationary phase, we did not notice any great...
Study of regulatory mechanisms of selected protein kinases
Petrvalská, Olívia
Through binding interactions with more than 300 binding partners, 14-3-3 proteins regulate large amount of biologically relevant processes, such as apoptosis, cell cycle progression, signal transduction or metabolic pathways. The research discussed in this dissertation thesis was focussed on investigating the role of 14-3-3 proteins in the regulation of two selected protein kinases ASK1 and CaMKK2. The main goal was to elucidate the mechanisms by which phosphorylation and 14-3-3 binding regulate functions of these protein kinases using various biochemical and biophysical methods, such as site-directed mutagenesis, enzyme activity measurements, analytical ultracentrifugation, small-angle X-ray scattering, chemical crosslinking, nuclear magnetic resonance and fluorescence spectroscopy. A structural model of the complex between the catalytic domain of protein kinase ASK1 with 14-3-3ζ, which was calculated using the small-angle X-ray scattering and chemical crosslinking data, suggested that this complex is conformationally heterogeneous in solution. This structural model together with data from time-resolved fluorescence and nuclear magnetic resonance suggested that the 14-3-3ζ protein interacts with the catalytic domain of ASK1 in the close vicinity of its active site, thus indicating that the complex...
