Téma disertační práce bylo zvoleno na základě zjištění nedostatku dostupných informací a výzkumů, které by se zabývaly tím, jak se realizovala výchova k reprodukčnímu zdraví, zaváděná do základních škol v 90. letech, a jak (z pohledu jejích účastníků) naplnila očekávání, s nimiž byla implementována. Cílem předkládané disertační práce je na základě průzkumu dostupných pramenů, současných výzkumů a vlastního výzkumného šetření v oblasti výchovy k reprodukčnímu zdraví navrhnout další možné kroky vedoucí k rozvoji daného oboru a identifikovat témata vhodná pro další výzkum ve vytčené oblasti. V projektu je nabídnut pohled na danou problematiku optikou respondentů ze dvou zemí: z České republiky a ze Španělska - další evropské země, v níž byla výchova k reprodukčnímu zdraví zaváděna ve stejném období, avšak s odlišnými přístupy. Španělsko je země se silně katolickou tradicí, v České republice naproti tomu žije pouze nízký počet obyvatel s deklarovanou náboženskou příslušností (podle statistických údajů ČSÚ z roku 2021 má ČR jeden z nejnižších podílů občanů s náboženskou afiliací v Evropě). Participanti výzkumného šetření jsou současní mladiství a mladí dospělí ve věku 15- 26 let z České republiky a ze Španělska, kteří navštěvovali základní školu v době, kdy byla výchova k reprodukčnímu zdraví... The research yielded in the field fails to explain how reproductive health educa-tion has been implemented in primary schools during the 1990s, and how it ful-filled the initial expectations with which it was introduced, from the perspective of its participants. The objective of the presented dissertation is to propose further potential steps towards the advancement of this domain and to identify topics suitable for further research in the field of reproductive health education on the basis of a survey of available sources, current research and presented re-search. The project examines the issue through the perspective of respondents from two countries: the Czech Republic and Spain. These two European nations implemen-ted reproductive health education during the same period, yet with distinct ap-proaches. Spain, with its strong Catholic tradition, contrasts with the Czech Re-public, which registers a relatively low proportion of individuals with declared religious affiliation, according to statistical data from the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ) in 2021. The research participants consist of current adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 26 from the Czech Republic and Spain, who attended primary school during the systematic introduction of reproductive health education.
