In-line tepelné zpracování oceli je součástí technologického procesu, který využívá fázových a strukturních přeměn k dosažení požadovaných mechanických vlastností. Tepelné zpracování vývalků nabízí, jak snížení nákladů na výrobu ocelových profilů (částečné nahrazení legování), tak i možnost výroby nových druhů ocelí. Například v automobilovém průmyslu jsou neustále vyšší nároky na bezpečnost pasažérů a výrazným způsobem k této bezpečnosti přispívá používání moderních ocelí. Jednou z nich je ocel nazývaná TRIP, při její výrobě se využívá právě tepelného zpracování. V literatuře je tepelné zpracování popisováno velmi často, avšak autoři se ve většině případů zabývají tím, jakým teplotním režimem musí daná ocel projít, aby bylo dosaženo požadovaných mechanických vlastností. Ovšem jen malá hrstka příspěvků se zabývá tím, jak tyto teplotní režimy technicky zajistit a dodržet, a které parametry chlazení je potřeba uvažovat při návrhu chladicích sekcí. V této práci byl, experimentálním způsobem, zkoumán vliv osmi parametrů na výslednou intenzitu chlazení (hodnotu součinitele přestupu tepla). Byly to: gravitace (orientace chlazeného povrchu), tlak chladiva, množství chladiva dopadajícího na povrch (průtok), rychlost pojezdu (válcování), konfigurace trysek, typ trysky (kuželové, ploché), teplota chladiva a kvalita povrchu (přítomnost oxidů a různá drsnost povrchu). Všechny tyto zmíněné parametry ovlivňují velikost součinitele přestupu tepla. Na základě získaných znalostí v rámci této práce byl vytvořen návrh chladicí sekce, tak aby chlazení dodrželo požadované teplotní režimy. In-line heat treatment is a part of technological process uses a phase and structure changes to obtain required mechanical properties. Heat treatment of rolled products offers a reduction of steel making costs and a creation of new steel products. For example the TRIP steel is a part of modern steels which is used in the automobile industry for higher safety of passengers. The heat treatment is often described in the literature. But the authors are often focused on the method how to get the required structure and mechanical properties for different metallic materials. Nevertheless just few articles are focused on the technical observing of temperature regimes and which parameter is necessary to consider during designing the cooling section. Eight parameters were tested by the experimental way to examine their influence on the cooling intensity. They were: gravity (orientation of the cooled surface), coolant pressure, amount of coolant spraying on the surface (the flow rate), rolling velocity, nozzle configuration, kind of nozzles (full cone or flat fan nozzle), coolant temperature and the surface quality (surface roughness and scales). All these parameters have an influence the heat transfer coefficient. Based on knowledge gained in this work was created the cooling section, which comply with the required cooling temperature regimes.
