Interpretace rozhovorů s narátory zachycuje subjektivní vzpomínky a zkušenosti s touto zahraniční rozhlasovou stanicí. This diploma thesis deals with the Czechoslovak editorial office of the Voice of America and its broadcasting. This foreign radio station is an almost unrecognized topic in Czech literature therefore the thesis aims to fill these blanks of the Czechoslovak modern history. The theoretical part focuses on the Voice of America as the official voice of the United States of America and provides a comprehensive information about the Czechoslovak editorial office's functioning based on the available literature. Oral history was chosen as method for this thesis. Previously unknown information was obtained using this methodology. Five narrators were involved in the thesis. Specifically, an interview with Ludvík Čižinsky, a former employee of the Voice of America, was recorded. This interview was followed by four more which offered a completely different perspective, as these were interviews conducted with Czechoslovak VOA's broadcasting listeners. Interviews with Marie Tvrzníková, Karel Kříž, Miroslav Kerouš and Pavel Racocha were recorded. Interpretation of interviews with narrators captures memories and describes experiences with this foreign radio station. In addition to individual views on the Voice of America, the work tries to depict the importance of this station for Czechoslovakia and its path to...
