Helena Mikošková Název: Konzumace omega-3 mastných kyselin u žen starších 80 let a její vztah k pohybové aktivnosti a kognitivním funkcím Cíle: Porovnat výživové zvyklosti ohledně konzumace omega-3 mastných kyselin (MK) u pohybově aktivních a neaktivních žen a zjistit vztah této konzumace s úrovní kognitivních funkcí. Metody: Do studie bylo zařazeno 38 žen ve věku od 80 do 87 let (průměr 82,9±2,13), které byly rozděleny do 2 skupin. První skupinu (N=20) tvořily ženy, které bývaly aktivní ve středním věku (ve věku 30-60 let vykonávaly pohybovou aktivitu (PA) v minimálním rozsahu 2,5 hodin/týdně). Druhá skupina (N=18) byla složena z neaktivních žen, které ve středním věku vykonávaly PA v nižším než výše uvedeném rozsahu. Výživové zvyklosti byly hodnoceny food frekvenčním dotazníkem a kognitivní funkce byly hodnoceny testy: Mini Mental State Examination, Reyův auditorně verbální test učení, Test cesty, Test verbální fluence (zvířata), a Boston Naming Test-30. Výsledky: Výživové zvyklosti vzhledem ke konzumaci omega-3 MK se mezi skupinami nelišily. Dále bylo zjištěno, že méně než 50 % všech dotazovaných žen dodržuje všeobecná doporučení ke konzumaci ryb. Nebyla nalezena závislost mezi konzumací omega-3 MK z přírodních zdrojů a konzumací doplňků stravy obsahující omega-3 MK. Byla však... Methods: Thirty-eight women aged 80 to 87 years (mean 82.9±2.13) were included in the study and divided into 2 groups. The first group (N=20) consisted of women who used to be active in middle age (30-60 years of age and performed a minimum of 2.5 hours/week of physical activity (PA)). The second group (N=18) consisted of inactive women who performed PA in less than the above range in middle age. Feeding habits were assessed with a food frequency questionnaire and cognitive function was assessed with the Mini Mental State Examination, Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test, Path Test, Verbal Fluency Test (animals), and Boston Naming Test-30. Results: Dietary habits with respect to omega-3 FA consumption did not differ between groups.
