Ve své práci jsem se zaměřil na manažerské kompetence učitelů a ředitelů škol a hledal jsem styčné plochy kompetencí těchto dvou profesí a kompetencí podnikových manažerů. Mým záměrem bylo zjistit, zda je předpoklad, že úspěšný pedagog bude i úspěšným ředitelem školy, případně zda může podnikový manažer úspěšně vykonávat funkci ředitele školy, aniž by sám jako pedagog pracoval. V teoretické části se zaměřuji nejdříve na vytýčení pojmu "management" a na manažerské funkce, na objasnění pojmu školský management a "classroom management", dále na osobnost manažera, na popis jeho osobnosti, vlastností, schopností, znalostí a dovedností, na vymezení pojmu leadership, poté vysvětluji pojem "kompetence" a v závěru analyzuji manažerské kompetence v práci podnikového manažera, pak i ředitele školy a učitele. V empirické části jsem se pokusil o sondu do subjektivního vnímání náplně práce, potřebných vlastností, schopností a kompetencí u pedagogů, ředitelů škol a manažerů. Použil jsem komparativní výzkum, kdy se pomocí řízeného rozhovoru snažím zmapovat činnosti, které tvoří náplň práce těchto dvou profesí a kompetence, které respondentům pomáhají uspět v jejich profesi. Zobecněné odpovědi uvádím v tabulkách, komentuji a srovnávám. V diskusi se snažím výsledky analyzovat a vyvodit z nich závěry. KLÍČOVÁ SLOVA:... This thesis deals with the managerial competencies of school teachers and headmasters. It also focuses on finding the common features of such competencies as are shared by the two aforementioned professions and company managers. Its main aim is to find out whether a successful teacher would be equally successful in the position of a headmaster, or whether a company manager can be a successful headmaster without having worked as a teacher. The theoretical part deals with the definition of "management" and managerial functions, the definition of school management, and "classroom management". The personalities of a manager, their qualities, knowledge, skills, the term "leadership" as well as "competencies" are also clarified here. At the end of this part there is an analysis of managerial competencies in the position of a company manager, headmaster, and teacher as well. The practical part analyses the subjective perception of the job duties, required qualities, skills and competencies in teachers, headmasters and managers. The thesis contains a comparative research. Dialogue was used to map such activities as form the daily job duties of the two professions and such competencies as help the respondents to be successful at work.
