Problematika přetížených silnic a s tím související přesun přepravy nákladu z dynamicky se rozvíjející silniční dopravy na železnici je v současnosti často diskutované téma. V této práci jsme se proto zaměřili na zhodnocení významu nákladní železniční dopravy na příkladu Královéhradeckého kraje. V práci budeme hodnotit, zda přes slábnoucí pozici železniční dopravy na přepravě nákladu bude její význam růst v sídlech s horší silniční polohou. Pozornost bude zároveň zaměřena na pozici nákladní železniční přepravy s rostoucím populačním významem střediska dle sídelní hierarchie. Dalším cílem práce je zhodnocení významu nákladní železniční dopravy s narůstajícím množstvím a odvětvovou strukturou podnikatelských subjektů s diskutováním dalších faktorů, které mohou význam železniční přepravy ovlivňovat. Klíčová slova: doprava, železnice, přeprava nákladu To move freight transport from overloaded roads to railway is a frequently discussed topic. In this paper we focused on the evaluation of the importance of rail freight, our example was the Královéhradecký region. In the paper we judge if the evaluation of the rail freight will be higher in regions with worse road locations and conditions. Attention will be also focused on position of the rail freight with the growing size of regions. Another view of this paper is the evaluation of importance of the rail freight with growing quantilies and structures of companies with discussing other factors which may affect importance of rail freight.
