Jedná se o velmi závažnou progresivně-neurodegenerativní poruchu, která se projevuje ztrátou paměti, kognitivní dysfunkcí a změnou osobnosti. Tato práce poskytuje aktuální shrnutí nejdůležitějších aspektů terapie Alzheimerovy choroby. Jsou zde uvedeny základní charakteristiky choroby, její možné příčiny a stručný přehled dosud používaných i nově zvažovaných terapeutických přístupů. It is very serious progressive-neurodegenerative disorder mainly manifested by memory loss, cognitive dysfunction and personality changes. This thesis provides topical summary of the most important aspects of treatment of Alzheimer's disease. There are introduced basic characteristics of Alzheimer's disease, its possible causes and brief summary of currently used and new considered therapeutic approaches.
