Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá profesní identitou a motivací mužů-učitelů v kontextu feminizace učitelského povolání, specificky v rámci předškolního vzdělávání. Hlavním cílem práce je prozkoumat problematiku působení mužů-učitelů v předškolním vzdělávání ve vztahu k českému vzdělávacímu prostředí, a to z perspektivy mužů samotných. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická část má za cíl představit problematiku profesní identity a motivace ve vztahu k učitelské profesi. V této části práce se zabývám učitelskou profesí a předškolním vzděláváním v kontextu genderových rozdílů, například zastoupením mužů-učitelů v něm, a to jak na území České republiky, tak v dalších evropských státech. Důraz je kladen na nejčastější problémy mužů-učitelů při výkonu jejich profese vyplývající ze zahraničních výzkumů. Empirická část práce se zakládá na kvalitativním výzkumu provedeným metodou tzv. Interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy (IPA). Data byla získána prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se třemi muži-učiteli působícími ve státních mateřských školách. Výsledky výzkumu mají podobu identifikace šesti témat sdílených napříč rozhovory, a to: Pozitivní reakce a podpora rodiny, Spokojenost v profesi učitele, Údiv širšího okolí, Seberealizace a seberozvoj, Od obav k přijetí, Výlučnost muže v... This bachelor thesis focuses on professional identity and motivation of male teachers in the context of feminization of the teaching profession, specifically in the sector of pre-primary education. The main aim of the thesis is to explore issues related to the position of a male teacher in pre-primary education in the context of the Czech educational environment. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part introduces issues of professional identity and motivation in relation to the teaching profession. The author also discusses the teaching profession, pre-primary education, and particularly the representation of male teachers in the pre-primary sector in the Czech Republic as well as in other European countries. The emphasis is on the discussion of the most significant challenges of male teachers, as they have been identified in international research. The empirical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research conducted using a method of Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). The data were collected via semi- structured interviews with three male teachers. The findings of the IPA analysis consist of six themes identified across all three interviews.
