Abstract: Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) in classical buffer-based background electrolytes and carrier ampholytes-based capillary electrophoresis (CABCE) using isoelectric BGEs (narrow pH fractions of carrier ampholytes used in isoelectric focusing) have been applied to separation and characterization of synthetic human gonadotropin-releasing hormone (hGnRH) and its fragments. From the measured effective mobilities of these peptides within a broad pH range (3.0-10.0), their isoelectric points (pI) were determined.
