1 Anotace: Leoš Mareš - fenomén českého moderátorství Diplomová práce se věnuje jedné z nevýraznějších osobnosti českého moderátorství Leoši Marešovi. Na toto téma doposud nevzniklo na akademické (a ostatně ani na neakademické) úrovni žádné relevantní dílo ani žádná závěrečná práce, jedná se proto o vůbec první počin v tomto směru. Je třeba položit si otázku, zda je vůbec žádoucí, aby vybrané téma bylo zpracováno na této úrovni. Dospěl jsem ke kladné odpovědi, jelikož osobnosti nejúspěšnějších moderátorů (Larry King, Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Dick Cavett či Johannes B. Kerner) zaujímají ve společnosti (obdobně jako osobnosti z oblasti umění či politiky) významnou úlohu a zkoumání jejich fenoménu je (alespoň) pro zahraniční teorii i praxi zcela přirozené. Podle mého názoru by v každé společnosti měl existovat zájem na poznání výrazných jedinců, kteří mohou společnost ovlivňovat nebo obohacovat. Z těchto důvodů jsem se v diplomové práci s ohledem na zaměření studijního programu rozhodl věnovat jedné z nejvýraznějších osobností českého moderátorství. Pokud by se tato práce stala podkladem pro budoucí odbornou či společenskou diskuzi o vybrané osobnosti nebo o moderátorství obecně, bude její smysl zcela jistě naplněn. 1 Annotation: Leoš Mareš - The Phenomenon of Czech Hosting The diploma thesis deals with one of the most notable personalities of Czech hosting - Leoš Mareš. There has been no relevant work or thesis on the academic (and also non-academic) level so far, so this is the first step in this direction. It is necessary to ask whether it is desirable that the chosen topic would be dealt with at this level. I have come up with a positive answer, for as the most successful hosting personalities (Larry King, Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Dick Cavett, Johannes B. Kerner) have an important role in society (like personalities from arts or politics) and studying of such phenomenon is completely natural for (at least) foreign theory and practice. In my opinion, every society should have an interest in knowing the distinct individuals who be can influential or enriching. For these reasons, I have decided, with regard to the focus of the study program, to devote the thesis to one of the most significant personalities of Czech hosting. If this thesis would be the basis for future professional or social discussion of selected personality or hosting in general, its purpose will certainly be fulfilled.
