Resumé Rigorózní práce Jazykové ztvárnění národnostních stereotypů v českých médiích a aplikace kognitivních aspektů ve výuce českého jazyka se zabývá tím, jaké stereotypy o vybraných národnostních/etnických skupinách - Romech, Vietnamcích a Rusech - se ve zvoleném vzorku českého tisku objevují a jakými jazykovými prostředky se projevují. Práce vychází z předpokladu, že i přes snahu médií o politickou korektnost, jež je součástí většiny etických kodexů novinářů, není možné eliminovat některé projevy sdílených ustálených představ o příslušnících národů/etnik, nazývané národnostní stereotypy, a že mediální obraz světa vypovídá o našem jazykovém obrazu světa. Hlavním metodologickým zdrojem byla teoretická východiska kognitivní lingvistiky, zejména tzv. teorie prototypů/stereotypů a kategorizace, tedy způsobu rozvrhování a uchopování světa, který nám pomáhá mu porozumět. Každé národnostní skupině je věnována jedna kapitola popisující způsob kategorizace a jednotlivé kategorie, jež vyplynuly z analýzy. Rovněž jsou uvedeny stereotypy zjištěné na základě výzkumu materiálu. Dále se práce věnuje aplikaci kognitivních aspektů ve výuce (nejen) českého jazyka a možnostem práce se stereotypy v médiích jako součástí vyučovací oblasti Jazyk a jazyková komunikace a průřezových témat Multikulturní a Mediální výchova.... Résumé This thesis under the title Linguistic Representation of National Stereotypes in Czech Media and the Application of Cognitive Aspects in Teaching Czech deals with which national stereotypes (about Romani, Vietnamese and Russians) are present in the samples selected from Czech media and how these stereotypes are linguistically represented. The paper is based on the presumption that despite the principle of political correctness present in most of the journalists' code of ethics, it is not possible to avoid some manifestations of shared fixed images of nationalities (called stereotypes) in media. Furthermore, we argue that the media image of the world is based on the Linguistic Image of the World. The theoretical basis of the cognitive linguistics, especially the Prototype/Stereotype Theory and categorization as the way of understanding and assorting the world, were the main methodological sources. There is a chapter on each analysed national group that depicts the means of its categorization and lists the particular categories that ensued from the analysis, as well as the stereotypes that were discovered in the surveyed sample.
