Diplomová práce se zabývá romskými dětmi ve školách. Cílem práce bylo zjistit úspěšnost romských žáků v dokončování ZŠ a v přípravných třídách při ZŠ, ověřit jak se učitelům na 1. stupni ZŠ pracuje s romskými dětmi a jaké jsou zkušenosti učitelů s pedagogickými asistenty u romských žáků. Další část výzkumu zjišťuje u romských žáků 5. tříd jakou vidí svoji vzdělávací a životní perspektivu. V závěru výzkumného šetření zaměřené na pedagogicko-psychologickou poradnu jsem zjišťovala, jakými způsoby může pedagogicko-psychologický pracovník ovlivnit vzdělávání romského žáka na škole. Celá práce je členěna do čtyř kapitol. První tři kapitoly jsou věnovány teoretickým poznatkům. První kapitola se zaměřuje na historii a kulturu Romů, jejich původ, tradiční rodinné vztahy a zvyky, hudbu, romský jazyk a vztah k majoritní společnosti. Druhá kapitola charakterizuje mladší školní věk, jeho školní zralost, tělesný, emoční a jazykový vývoj, také se zabývá vývojem poznávacích procesů, socializaci a otázkou školního neprospěchu. Třetí kapitola pojednává o vzdělání romských dětí na školách, jejich začlenění do základních škol a o problémech spojených se vstupem do školy. Čtvrtá část je výzkumná, informuje o průběhu a výsledcích vlastního výzkumného šetření. Klíčová slova: Život Romů, mladší školní věk, rodina, romský... Annotation: My master's thesis deals with the gypsy children in schools. The main goal of the thesis was to find out success rate of gypsy pupils in finishing elementary schools and special classes by the elementary school, and to find out how teachers work with gypsy children and what the experience of teachers in working with gypsy kids are. The next part of my research focuses on gypsy pupils in the fifth grade and how they see their future and their prospects. In the end of my research focused on educational counseling I investigated how the educational counselor and teacher can influence education of a gypsy pupil in the school. The whole thesis is divided into four chapters. First three chapters are focused on theory. The first chapter is focused on the history and culture of Gypsies, their origin, traditional family relations and customs, music, language and their relation to the major society. The second chapter describes the younger school age, its maturity, physical, emotional and language development. It also deals with the development of cognitive processes, socialization and failing in school.
