KONTRASTIVNÍ ANALÝZA MATAFOR UŽÍVANÝCH V EKONOMICKÉ ŠPANĚLŠTINĚ

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kontrastivní analýzou metafor užívaných v ekonomické španělštině. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na objasnění termínů metafora a víceslovná pojmenování. Dále se pak snaží o přiblížení jazyka využívaného v oblasti ekonomiky a následně i metafor ve španělském ekonomickém jazyku. Praktická část obsahuje korpusovou analýzu vybraných metafor, jež jsou postupně představeny a kontrastivní analýzu, která vychází z výsledků získaných v korpusové analýze.

Commented translation of a text on science and technology

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the use of technical language in both Czech and English language and the similarities and differences between them. To study the languages in Electrical engineering, a technical text in Czech has been chosen for translation and then translated into English. After the translation, an analysis of the language used has been made, focusing on both linguistic and extralinguistic features, which are often specific for scientific texts. These features cover a wide range of linguistic fields, such as lexicology, morphology, stylistics, syntax, but also extralinguistic issues, such as pragmatics. In conclusion, the analysis of the original and translated texts revealed many differences, both minor and major, which are the result of an attempt of transferring information in a language quite different than the original.

Comparative analysis of professional texts

This Bachelor´s thesis analyzes three technical texts from the field of electrical engineering. The first text chosen for this analysis is an academic textbook, the second is a technical research article, and the third is a technical lecture. All texts explain the topic of operational amplifiers. This thesis comments on the presented genres and their characteristics; however, its main focus is the analysis of cohesive chains. Types of grammatical and lexical cohesion are analyzed as well as the use of the keywords in the cohesive chains. The items of the identified cohesive chains are integrated in tables and their function in the discourse is commented on. The percentage occurrence of the individual categories of cohesion is calculated and it is implied that lexical cohesion prevails over grammatical. Some interesting distinctions arise from the comparison of the texts and the cohesive devices forming the cohesive chains.

In the 21 century, it is possible to speak about enormous growth of people using English daily in their lives. English has become a language used in the global sphere and it is used in all fields of interests including science, technology, economics, law or medicine. Each of this field has developed its own “branch” of English language with its specific features and genres. Although each of these fields of scientific style is completely different, the aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate them and identify their typical genres, specific features and diversities among them, using texts from specialised books and journals.

Terminology in Visual Arts in a large bilingual dictionary

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou terminologie výtvarného umění ve velkém překladovém slovníku a zároveň se zamýšlí nad touto problematikou. Diplomová práce je členěna na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou definovány pojmy z oblasti výtvarného umění, terminologie a lexikografie. Jsou vymezeny pojmy jako např. odborný jazyk, obecný jazyk, termín, odborná slovní zásoba, synonymie a ekvivalence nebo odborný slovník. Praktická část analyzuje výběr slovníkových hesel výtvarného umění z hlediska lingvistického, terminologického, lexikografického v překladovém slovníku.

Jazykové vzdělávání pro konkurenceschopnost absolventů ŠAVŠ - tvorba výukových modulů v německém jazyce s ohledem na soudobé trendy ve výuce odborného cizího jazyka

Primárním záměrem této rigorózní práce bylo na základě studia odborné literatury a vlastních praktických zkušeností vypracovat nejefektivnější model výuky odborného cizího jazyka a jeho funkční uplatnění ve výuce. Součástí práce je zavedení a ověření nového koncepčního pojetí výuky vzhledem k specifickým cílům studijní skupiny, které vyplynuly z šetření na výzkumném vzorku respondentů studujících na Škoda Auto Vysoké škole (dále jen ŠAVŠ). Úvodní část práce tvoří báze teoretických východisek, která je nutná pro tvorbu výukového konceptu v odborném cizojazyčném vyučování. Jsou zde rozpracovány hlavní zásady vedení vyučovacího procesu, dále se tato část zabývá teoretickou rovinou výuky odborného jazyka a východisky tvorby sylabů pro danou výuku. Teoretická část je ukončena pojednáním o lingvodidaktických problémech při osvojování německého odborného jazyka. V praktické části jsou uvedeny návrhy nových metodických opatření, které vyplynuly z ověření a závěry empirického výzkumu, které zanalyzovaly požadavky potřeb praxe na jazykové znalosti nastupujících absolventů a nároky studentů ŠAVŠ na výukové materiály z hlediska motivačního v procesu učení se cizímu jazyku.
