The application of different types of substrate in the biogas plant
SIKYTOVÁ, Pavlína
Support and investment´s subsidies of production of electricity from renewable sources after 2009 made a phenomenon from a biogas plants. This thesis specifies the most used feedstock for biogas production in the Czech Republic. Each substrate used in biogas plants, have different chemical composition, dry matter content, thus providing another volume of biogas. Specifications of elections of substrate, was made on the based on consultations with the operators of agricultural biogas plants. Stabilized anaerobic process increases the production of biogas and supports economic situation of farms.

The Notion of Feudalism in European and African Context
Dvořáková, Martina ; Halbich, Marek (advisor) ; Horský, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with the notion of feudalism and its application in an african setting. In the first place it is interessted in the type of property rights and land tenure which were typical for feudal Europe and african societies. With the book The Premise of Inequality in Ruanda wrote by J. Maqueta shows how misleading can be the usage of the notion invented initially for medieval feudal society and then set in other continent and in other time. This shows some similarities but hides other important differences.

Implementing the Dynamic Languages Using DLR Technology
Beňo, Miloslav ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Dokulil, Jiří (referee)
The Microsoft .NET Framework was from the beginning designed to support broad range of languages on a Common Language Runtime (CLR). CLR provides shared services such as garbage collection, JIT and tools integration. The other benefit is that these languages can work together and use libraries written in any of them as well as .NET Base class library (BCL). The CLR didn't have the support for dynamic languages. Their dynamic nature makes the compilation uneasy and places high demands on the language runtime. Unlike static languages as C# which don't require runtime support other than CLR itself. How difficult was it to make the dynamic language on .NET can be seen in the open-source implementation of PHP language on .NET called Phalanger. Its code is really complex and hard to survey. This is a serious problem for an open-source project, because it's hard to contribute. The new Dynamic Language Runtime (DLR) makes a difference. It adds a lot of support for dynamic languages on .NET, that makes implementing the dynamic languages much easier and it also enables the interoperability between the dynamic languages built on DLR and standard static languages on .NET. This work focuses on features of PHP dynamic language and discusses how they can be implemented in DLR. A part of this work is a pilot implementation...

Otherness viewed from the Inside and Outside
Francová, Markéta ; Goldmann, Petr (advisor) ; Hadj - Moussová, Zuzana (referee)
The theme of my graduation theses is "The View of the Otherness From Within and Without". My work focuses on exploring and becoming acquainted with "The Others": How they Perceive themselves, their experiences, how they cope with their otherness, and the reactions their communities. I further seek to explore how their otherness is perceived by their ^milies and friends as well as how "The Others" perceive those that are likewise "other" and their opinions about differing forms of otherness. "The Others" within the context of my work delude the physically handicapped, homosexuals, people of Russian ethnicity and practicing Catholics. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Ensuring intravenous lines in children.
BENEŠOVÁ, Nikola
Intravenous cannulation ranks among the basic nursing procedures performed by nurses on everyday basis. The indications for cannulation include particularly infusion therapies, administration of replacement fluids in case of blood loss, anesthesia, long-term administration of antibiotics, parenteral nutrition or monitoring of central venous pressure. In case of children the method prevents frequent unpleasant and painful punctures. Intravenous cannulation is used for peripheral catheterization, central catheterization, umbilical catheterization and PICC. The most frequent is application of peripheral catheters. In absolute majority of cases the procedure is performed by two nurses, while one introduces a catheter and the other holds the child. It should be always made possible for the mother/accompanying person to be present during the procedure. Apart from observation of disinfection, sterility and correct procedure by nurses/ physician, it is very essential to ensure good mental preparation of the child which depends on how much the child is able to understand the provided information. The parent or another accompanying person must be sufficiently instructed in advance about the procedure. In case of introduction of a peripheral catheter in newborns and nurslings no rubber or other tourniquets are used on the limb and the limb is only pressed by the assisting nurse with adequate force. Equally as in adults, visible veins of upper and lower limbs are used for intravenous cannulation but also veins on the child´s head which is a specific place used in little children. Umbilical catheter introduced immediately after the birth is also characteristic for newborns and this procedure can be performed only by a physician, similarly as it is the case with the central catheter. PICC is different in this respect as it can be also introduced by a professionally trained nurse. Aseptic approach is always applied. All catheters must be firmly fixed to prevent their undesired extraction. After the procedure the patient and the puncture area are regularly checked to prevent complications.

The Evaluation of Externalities

Alternative perspectives on economic indicator Gross Domestic Product
Salaj, Petr ; Brůna, Karel (advisor) ; Kučera, Lukáš (referee)
The main goal of this dissertation is to explore alternative economic indicators to GDP. The paper also analyses whether GDP is able to capture the development of a society's welfare, and whether different indicators can show other results about the development of national economy. After an introductory description of GDP, the paper outlines the core limits of this indicator. Following this is a discussion of happiness economics and Easterlin's paradox. The paper then goes on to explore the subject of alternative indicators in more detail. In the final chapter, five selected alternative indicators are analyzed, and compared with GDP using the USA's economy as an example. In conclusion, the paper evaluates the usefulness of these alternative indicators and finds that alternative indicators give a different perspective on national economy than GDP.

Didactic games and their application in geology teaching at primary school
DAŇKOVÁ, Soňa
The presented master thesis describes methods of geology teaching at primary school and deals with the motivation of pupils in a connection with the application of a didactic game in teaching of geology and/or nature science. Data source was sampled via questionnaire in three groups of the respondents, i.e., teachers of geology (nature science), with 9th class pupils of primary school and university students of teaching training in biology. The theoretical part includes general data concerning motivation of pupils, teaching methods and a didactic game. The practical part contains methodology of the research, results of quantitative analysis and the author's didactic computer game which was tested and evaluated by the respondents. The obtained results show that the majority of pupils do not like geology however the integration of the didactic games in lessons can be increased pupil's interest in geology. The research has also found that university students have a different opinion on the teaching of geology than practising teachers. For example university students think that the unpopularity of geology among pupils is caused by teacher's personality, but according to opinion of the teachers it is caused by a general lack of attractivity of the subject. Similarly, the students accused the teacher of insufficient use of didactic games in geology teaching, but the teachers do not integrate didactic games in geology teaching due to lack of time.

Music software - application of open source and freeware in music education
Kyjovský, Jan ; Bělohlávková, Petra (advisor) ; Nedělka, Michal (referee)
The bachelor's thesis Music software - application of open source and freeware in music education deals with that kind of software, which could be in some way used in music education and it is free of charge. In the first, theoretical part, the software itself is defined together with the most common free software licenses and the philosophy of Open source movement and Free Software Foundation. Just for orientation, there is a classification of music software; author compiles also a brief vocabulary of terms used in music software, which should be known by user if interested. Practical part represents some type of editor's pick of software with description of its specialization. Author picks always just only one of the best program for each category, eventually he describes similar program with quite different function in current problematic. Web pages on the Internet are chosen in the same way. The thesis is intended to be practical. Own experience with the software described is gratefully recommended.

The personality of Master of the Litoměřice Altar and his hypotetical activity in St. Wenceslas Chapel in St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague
Haragová, Vladěna ; Ottová, Michaela (advisor) ; Royt, Jan (referee)
The personality of Master of the Litoměřice Altarpiece and his hypothetical activity in St. Wenceslas Chapel in St. Vitus' Cathedral in Prague The master of the Litoměřice Altarpiece is the most significant figure in the plastic and graphic art of Jagellon Bohemia in the period of late Gothic. The election of Vladislav Jagello, who became King of Bohemia in 1471, the Bohemia state was added to their dynasty holdings. After death of his political enemy Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary, Vladislav set up his permanent residence in Buda and on various occasions paid only shorter or longer visits to Prague. His son Louis also resided permanently in Buda and came to the Bohemian metropolis only once. For these reasons is very difficult question about king as a donator. Numerous art historical literature dealing with this artist has offered two completely different hypotheses, some scholars believe in Czech origin artist who was strongly influenced by the so-called Danube school, others contented that the Master of the Litoměřice Altarpiece was born and trained abroad. The starting point for any summary of the oeuvre of this anonymous artist is two key monuments of painting that date from the first decade of the 16th century and which survived in Bohemia. The first of these is a large cycle of murals in St....
