Quality of domiciliary services from a user's perspective

Petra Slaná ABSTRACT The thesis "Quality of domiciliary services from a user's perspective" deals with issues of quality of care services. Its aim was to find out what users expect from a quality service. Based on qualitative research and knowledge gained from practice was also to create a methodology for user satisfaction domiciliary services. The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part contains the definition of old age, approaching the issue of aging, self-sufficiency and human needs in old age. It provides demographic and statistic data about the aging population. It focuses on social services in general, their definition, types and forms. It outlines the form of social services for seniors in the Czech Republic and in selected countries of European Union. It describes systems of quality used in the commercial sphere and in the service area. The theoretical part concludes with an overview of the factors which determine user satisfaction. The aim of the empirical part was to identify areas that may be an important quality of service criteria. Thanks to these users can evaluate the quality of services. Social fieldwork with seniors

The thesis is focused on the field social work with elderly people. The first chapter describes old age, aging, changes in old age, changes in self-sufficiency and aging of society. The second chapter is devoted to the needs of seniors. The third chapter contains social work with seniors, care allowance, irreplaceable role of the family in the care of a senior and field social services in Blatná region. The theoretical part is followed by a research process whose aim is to chart the seniors satisfaction with the use of services in the region and also the help of their families. There are two facilities providing the social service in the certain area in the research group. One of them is the Regional Charity of Strakonice and the other one is the Care Service Organisation.

The house is located in a quiet part of Strachotín. The plot itself is now used as agricultural land. The bio corridor belt creates a natural dominance around the area and ensures safe drainage of water during torrential rains. The concept is based on a wide range of services and care. The home for seniors will become part of the life of all seniors in the village and nearby. Supporting home-based autonomy allows seniors to live in their own home and only use the services that are available. Visits and social activities are a matter of course. Accommodation in the house itself will preferably be provided to seniors who require constant care. The operating standard of the home is designed to a very good standard. The home offers a barrier-free environment, single or double rooms. Meeting rooms are an important part of the house, along with a garden and bathing biotope. Separate living from operation guarantees a high level of privacy and allows direct contact with the garden.

Self-realization Seniors in a Nursing Home

The issue of age and aging is for each of us increasingly topical theme. Many seniors did not expect to live to such an old age. It is understandable that older people gradually decrease forces and concluded that they wish to be placed into the residence facilities. It should be added that senior decision must be voluntary, surely it cannot be enforced. His family and friends can be supportive them. In a situation where a senior is quite independent, but his health is deteriorating and it is expected that she will need help in coping with common activities, you may submit an application for placement in a nursing home. Seniors and the municipalities that own nursing home conclude a proper tenancy agreement and a nursing proposes what specific steps they need. In order to better adapt the senior in a nursing home, he can take the furniture from his home, pictures or photographs. The advantage for the senior may be that there live his friends in the home and he knows its surroundings. Often it is in a nursing home better for access to health care services and transport than in his previous residence. Another advantage is the program that a nursing home for the elderly creates. It is self-evident that even seniors can create their own program. Even seniors can find self-fulfillment. They attend clubs for the elderly, educated at the universities of the third age, going to the theatre, visiting places of interest or going for walks. The topic of my thesis is Self-realization of Seniors in a Nursing Home. The aim is to map the factors that influence the fulfillment of seniors in a particular nursing home. It was established a major research question: How do seniors feel self-fulfillment with support for care services? To answer the main research questions were four research questions. It was used strategy to qualitative research method of questioning and semi-structured interview technique. The research was conducted in a nursing home in Tyl Street in Czech Budweis. Nursing services are provided Ledax, o.p.s. The research showed that seniors feel safe and know their rights. Seniors indicated that they are satisfied with the nursing home, on the other hand they want to remain independent as long as possible. Interviewees agreed that their health is not perfect but they are trying to take everything easy. They fear that they will become totally dependent on the care of others. Furthermore, it´s very difficult to cope with the loss of neighbors, with whom they established friendships, reported that seniors who live here more than a decade. They also agreed that there were neighborly relations better organized before and used to have much more social events. Seniors who are at home a shorter period of time said that neighborly relations are good. All seniors are in regular contact with their family and friends. They prefer personal visit, but if there´s the worst, they call their friends up. Seniors take part in leisure activities organized by the nursing home, especially women. The research also showed that seniors would welcome more leisure activities. During the interview some of elderly said that they tried to invent various leisure activities for the others, but unfortunately- without success. On answering the main research question - how older people perceive self-fulfillment with support for care services? I can say that for the elderly is an important support for care services both in their daily affairs and leisure activities. In case they have a problem, some of the respondents agreed that it is the care service where they turn for advice. The results of this work will be handed over to social workers and seniors in nursing homes in Tyl Street in Czech Budweis.

The building is proposed as two multipurpouse houses with shared underground parking, commerce in street floor and mostly small-scale flat suitable for a function of day care senior housing. The aim of urban concept is filling the area to make the best of the place and upgrade the importance of the spot and also to stabilize the surroundings.

Subject of this thesis is an urban and architectural design of buildings vacant lot at the corner intersection of streets Brabansko - A small splint near the city center of Přerov. Apartment Building Front Street closes and completes residential block. There are shops, facilities of the apartment building and garage. Above the shops are perched three floors forward of mass housing with 13 apartments.

This paper is processed in the form of project documentation which comprises all the requisites required by current regulations. Designed house for seniors is located between the villages Lomnicka u Tišnova and Šerkovice. The building has four floors. The facility is located 42 residential units social care and facilities for the elderly. The structural system consists of reinforced concrete frame and masonry infill ceramic blocks. The entire building is equipped with a contact system. The roof structure consists of lattice trusses and metal roofing.

Designed home for seniors is placed on the site number 253/4 in Tabor. The building has four floors. The facility is located 64 residential units social care and facilities for the elderly. Constructional system is from lime-sand bricks, prestressed concrete ceiling panels, flat roof, wooden girder trusses. Building has contact thermal insulation system.

This thesis deals with essential steps that are necessary to start-up home care agency. The goal is to determine whether it is nowadays a lucrative business to provide health and social care in this way. In terms of specificity of health care, the thesis includes both a detailed analysis of current state of the health care market and the theoretical knowledge of legislative and legal regulations associated with the establishment of home care agency.
