Private and Public Law Aspects of Doorstep Selling

The diploma thesis deals with private and public law aspects which are specific of doorstep selling. The main goal of the thesis is a complex analysis of these aspects, with emphasis put on the issue of consumer protection. The thesis further examines drawbacks of the Czech legislation de lege lata on the theoretical level as well as in applicational practice and confronts these drawbacks with de lege ferenda proposals.
Selected E-shops and their Websites

The diploma thesis deals with e-shops and their websites. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the selected e-shops and their websites, activities of supervisory authorities in this area and creating suggestions for an improvement. The theoretical part explains basic terms connected to e-shops, history, legislation and supervisory authorities related to this area. In the practical part is conducted controlled in-depth interview with the employee of the Czech Trade Inspection. Moreover a questionnaire survey was carried out in order to examine the consumer's experiences with e-shops and their legal awareness. The thesis also contains evaluation of the selected e-shops and their websites and case study containing purchase from one selected e-shop. Based on the obtained information are suggested recommendation for the improvement.
Consumers and their interest in food composition

The main purpose of the work is to find out whether the composition of food affects consumers' purchasing decisions or the price is more important to them. At first, important terms related to the issue are explained. The work also explains why food composition is important to check. There may, for example, be situations where food is dangerous. Food safety is provided by supervisory authorities who inform consumers about dangerous foods. Consumer opinions are gathered with help of marketing research using online questionnaires. The obtained data is then analysed and processed through graphs. Based on the results of the analysis, suggestions to improve consumer awareness are made.
Selected problems of food legislation in Czech Republic

This diploma thesis was about problems of food law in Czech Republic. The aim of this diploma thesis was finding opinion and attitudes of Czech consumers and finding out how works supervisory authority in this part of food law (mass caterers). In the theoretical part was explained who is consumer and how is consumer protection in Czech Republic. There was described actual wording of food law legislation and supervisory authorities. In work was analyzed statistics. Practical part of this diploma thesis was divided into two parts. First part was focused on consumers. There was an online survey. This research investigated if consumers were interested in modern trends in catering. How often they eat out of home. Whether consumers know a supervisory authorities in Czech food law. If they know project Potraviny na pranýři. Second part was focused on supervisory authorities and mass caterers. There were in-depth controlled interviews with supervisory authorities like SVS, SZPI, KHS. For finding the opinions of all the were in-depth controlled interviews with representatives of school cafeteria, restaurant and coffee house. Based on the results obtained by this research, there were recommended three suggestions for improvement.
Control activity of selected supervisory authorities operating in the field of consumer protection

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate control activities of selected supervisory authorities in a sphere of consumer protection and to find the opinions and attitudes of selected business entities on supervisory authorities' activities. The thesis includes a questionnaire survey among consumers and controlled in-depth interviews both with business entities and with supervisory authorities. The questionnaire survey confirms or rejects hypotheses of the thesis. Controlled in-depth interviews with selected supervisory authorities focused on their controlling activities. Managed in-depth interviews with business entities aimed to find out their views and attitudes towards supervisory authorities, as well as to identify a scope and a process of controls carried out by supervisory authorities. The thesis further outline how the selected supervisory authorities could evaluate their work with consumers. Changes are mainly concerned with informing consumers of suitable and unsuitable business premises.

Bachelor thesis Assortment and evaluation of the quality of meat products is concerned mainly with history and present of treatment of meat and meat products, their division into separate kinds. Further it is concerned with division of meat products according to the technology of profuction, their traditional and legislative division. Next part deals with analytical setting -content of separate parts of meat products. The thesis also discusses flaws of meat products and hygiene of their production and control system of critical points of quality HACCP. The thesis also describes the supervising offices that control correctness of production and sale of meat and meat products. The last part offers possibilities of innovation in this area.
Business practices used by czech businessmen

The aim of this thesis was to recommend the elimination of unfair commercial practices used by the Czech businessman using the result of research in the field conducted in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part were described and explained key words which related to this topic. What does it mean the consumer protection. Which supervisory authorities and consumer organizations are in the Czech republic. What they do and what is their main activities. The practical part was concentrated to the research. There was investiged if respondents have anawareness about the consumer protection, supervisory authorities or consumer organizations. If they met to specific aggressive and misleading commercial practices and how they respond. The results of this research can be noted that a lots of respon-dents know what does it mean the consumer protection. This finding is very positive. The data suggest that more respondents meet with misleading practices than aggressive one. Reactions are usually negative in the form of the refusal. From the questionnaires by tables and graphs were derived the results all 22 guestions. After that was made proposals to improvement. It means that the aim of this thesis was fulfiled. This aim was to recommend the elimination of unfair commercial practices used by the Czech businessman using the result of research in the field conducted in the Czech Republic. The proposals was focused at pensioners. Also young people becauset hey are unreasonable and imprudent. Pensioners are a group which businessman are focus. For young people it is to extension lectures at high school and universities. Also the extension of seminars for seniors which would take place in old people´s homes. Another recommendation for the removal of unfair business practices is distribute of leaflets to this old people´s homes. Seniors should be warned againts unfair business practices and whom to contact in case of emergency.
Czech supervisor authority in the consumer protection

Diploma thesis is aimed at the Czech supervisor authority in the consumer protection. The main object is to find out Czech consumer awareness of the working of The Czech Trade Inspection Authority. Necessary information is found out using questionnaire survey and controlled depth interview. On the basis of observed results the recommendations for improvement are suggested.
Consumer brands and consumer protection

The bachelor thesis deals with consumer brands in relation to consumer protection. A major goal of my project was to analyze consumer brands Český výrobek and Czech Made in relation to consumer protection. A partial goal of the project was to find out if consumers were familiar with consumer brands and if they oriented in them. I made a marketing research, which was to confirm or disprove the provided hypothesis.
Food quality from the perspective of retailer (with a focus on meat products)

This paper deals with food quality. This paper is divided into several chapters. The first chapter is focused on supervisory authorities. The second chapter of this paper deals with the quality of food in general. The third chapter is considered from the perspective of quality food retailer. There is also shown the result of a questionnaire survey about customer preferences when deciding to buy sausages. Following there is the analysis of data obtained from the cash register system as a counterbalance to results of the questionnaire. In the fourth chapter of this paper there is a solution to the problem of losses in meat products.
