Dramatization of literary works in the National theatre after the year 1990

This thesis deals with dramatizations of literary works that were introduced at the National Theatre after1990. Compares prose texts with newly formed theatrical texts. It also focuses on the transformation of interpretations of individual works, which occurred as a result of dramatization. For each unfinished work also always gives relevant circumstances relating to the production.

Title of the Bachelor Thesis: The creation of A.Averchenko in emigration Abstract The graduate work «The creation of A.Averchenko in emigration» is dedicated to the research of the creative work of an outstanding writer of the XX century beginning, who is a well-known classic of Russian satiric and humorous prose. The aim of research is the analysis of Averchenko's literary activity during the giant revolutionary turn in Russian history, the changes in his sense of humour in the emigration and the influence of the new society on the writer's creation in his Czech period of life. The object of analysis in this work, as well, is the single Averchenko's humorous novel «The Joke of the Maecenas», written in the emigration. Art interpretation of Czech history in the historical prose by Alois Jirásek

The thesis deals with the issues of literary-historical situation of works by Alois Jirásek in the Czech tradition of the historical novel and characteristic of literary representation of history by the writer. The thing is that after the creation of Czechoslovakia in 1918 Jirásek became the official symbol of the literature of the new state, and younger authors followed him ideologically, thematically, and after the formal construction of works. Jirásek's authority didn't weaken in the second half of the 20th century, when his method of literary interpretation of Czech history was ideologically misused. On the basis of literary analysis of two historical novels (Proti všem and Temno), the author of thesis describes Jirásek's narrative style and the means of expression that gives the writer the possibility to reach the art effectiveness of his novels. Karel Kamínek as a Prose Writer

The thesis deals with short proses of Karel Kamínek - author of Modern revue circuit. The first part is dedicated to environment of Czech decadency in 19th and 20th centuries, its French roots and European sources of inspiration. The second part deals with the person of Karel Kamínek itself. It begins with basic biographical data and presents selected projects in which Kamínek participated. The third part analyses the author's short proses. We focus on Dies Irae and other stories and on Disonance also on short stories published in magazines. We approach Kamínek's work chronologically; divide it into sections with related poetics, while respecting the framework of book units. Selected short stories are closer discussed. The aim is to remind forgiven author, try to determine the specifics of his prose, capture its development and to put his work into the context of Czech literature.
Theme of Guilt and Punishment in Stories and Dramatic of František Langr in Domestic and Global Context

The thesis describes the evolution and variances in the motive of crime and punishment throughout prosaic and dramatic works of František Langer. After an introductory reflection on crime and punishment the thesis deals with an analysis of Doskojevskij's novel "Crime and Punishment" which had a large impact on Langer's conception of these terms. It also outlines an image of crime and punishment in Czech literature at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, which might have influenced Langer. The first part also tries to clarify how these motives were evolved in author's incipient work. It follows up prose collections "Gold Venus" and "Dreamers and Murderers". The second part is focused on the refined and often very complicated form of crime and punishment in Langer's dramas "Saint Wenceslas", "Periphery", "Camel through Eye of a Needle", "Reversal of Ferdyš Pištora", "Angels among us" and "Seventy-two" and tries to grasp and characterize it.
The personality of Popelka Biliánová and her journalistic activity

Bachelor thesis "Osobnost Popelky Biliánové a její publicistická činnost" deals with a portrait of Popelka Biliánová (1862-1941), Czech writer, publicist and dramatist and her activities in journalism. Popelka Biliánová's life was linked with a few associations in the Czech countries at the turn of the 19th century where she was active. She was acting in several spheres, e. g. education, ethnology, foklore, etc. Popelka Biliánová as a journalist wrote her articles for various periodical and non-periodical press. Bachelor thesis analyses Popelka Biliánová's articles according to a kind of newspapers and magazines, journalistic genres, themes, etc. The attention is also paid to journalism at the turn of the 19thth century, literature and its movements. Popelka Biliánová' s correspondence with important artists, writers, publishers and so on exemplifies a relationship between a writer or publicist and a publisher at that time. The prose that Popelka Biliánová wrote relating to her journalistic acitivity. Popelka Biliánová is also mentioned as the author of the prosaic pieces that inspired movie producers and literary managers.
Body as Key Topic in the Prose of Marek Sindelka

The bachelor's thesis deals with the literary work of the Czech contemporary author Marek Šindelka, specifically with his key prose works Chyba, Zůstaňte s námi, Mapa Anny and Únava materiálu. The analysis of these titles, based mainly on the literary-theoretical approaches of Daniela Hodrová, Blanka Činátlová and linguists George Lakoff and Mark Johnson, focuses on the way in which their central theme of body and physicality manifests itself at various levels of literary work. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to verify with the appropriate literary tools whether the body and physicality are only a key topic connecting most of Šindelka's texts or whether it enters the deeper levels of the text, eg. as its compositional principle or as - the only valid - way of seeing the world. This thesis focuses on the personality of a writer and humorist Jarmila Hašková. It deals with a biographical summary of the writer's life and author's bibliography overview. The thesis is divided into two main chapters, the first deals with the author's life and the second dedicates to the author's creation. The first chapter describes the author's childhood spent in a large family, but it was accompanied by frequent health problems, furthermore, a relatively dramatical relationship with a writer Jaroslav Hašek and a period of author's life after separation, when Hašková came with her son Richard back to her parents. She gained not only a permanent job but also she took up a literary activity completely. The second chapter deals with the author's work in detail, initially with the work's beginnings, which relate to poetry. After that, it deals with prosaic writings in which lied centre of her creations and, ultimately, other arts sectors such as film and radio Hašková devoted. Jarmila Hašková wrote humoristic short stories primarily about daily life and interpersonal relations. The thesis gives an overview of the contemporary reception of Jarmila Hašková's prosaic works.
