Alberta Infant Motor Scale - Motor Development of Infant from Birth to One Year

Summary: Goals - The purpose of this work is to introduce the Canadian standardized assessment - Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS) to specialists. The test evaluate motor development of infants from birth to the eighteen months of age. Theoretical part - In this part I have summarized the need of standardized assessment for occupational therapists and the importance of early intervention for infants to one year age. The next chapter is about psychomotor development of newborn and infant. The main part is devoted to informations about the assessment AIMS. The last part is dealt with an overview of methods used in the pediatric occupational therapy. Practical part - I used AIMS assessment in practice and then in the form of case study, I have put the results of my testing with practical proposals for occupational therapy intervention.
Education for parents of extremely premature infants in the use of stimulation techniques for the support of psychomotor development

Annotation: The thesis is focused on educating parents of children with perinatal risks. The work focuses on justifying the need of special educator within the multidisciplinary team of therapists and his role in the work with children with perinatal stress. Based on the questionnaire results it shows how parents are informed about the therapy options, leisure activities and other source of information. The work highlights how essential is to coordinate all offers of variety organizations and the need for long-term and systematic educational work. In the theoretical part of the thesis is the child examination and the importance of early detection of children with threats followed by clearly elaborated complex of the child psychomotor development. Further characteristics describe children with perinatal risks to define their basic diagnosis and the consequences of individual systems damages and the relevance of further development. The work shows the possibility of intervention using the latest trends in work with children at risk and the importance of early initiation and the need to combine the therapies.

Title of thesis: The possibilities of physiotherapy in patients with Myasthenia gravis. Diagnostics and therapy. Abstract: This bachelor thesis discusses the possibilities of physiotherapy in patients with the neurological disease, Myasthenia Gravis. A physical therapy can be an important part of the treatment in myasthenic patients. The theoretical part of the thesis includes all the important information about Myasthenia Gravis - clinical symptoms, pathogenesis, diagnostics, treatment and selected physiotherapeutic methods. The practical part contains the case study of two selected pacients. The goal of the practical part was to find out what physiotherapeutical methods are suitable for patients with Myasthenia gravis and if a regular physical activity contributes to good health. The therapy was divided into two parts where one part took two weeks. The standardized scores were used to compare the results before and after the therapy. These scores are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. The output examination confirmed an improvement in both cases. Title: Examination and therapy of balance of patients after stroke Subtitle: The use of Bobath concept elements in the therapy of stability impairment ABSTRACT: The bachelor's thesis deals with topic of balance of patients after stroke. It's divided into theorethical and practical part. In the theoretical part, balance is defined as a term and particular types of postural control are described. The theoretical part also involves overview of the best known tests used for examination component types of postural control. It summarizes basic rules of postural impairment therapy of patients after stroke. There is also described the Bobath concept as an option for therapeutical approach to patients with balance impairment, which is caused by stroke in case history. The practical part consists of two case studies. The goal of practical part was to verify an effect of therapy by using selected elements of Bobath concept in patients with balance impairment. Utilisaation of Physiotherapeutical Procedures and Methods in Patients with the Multiple Sclerosis

The title of thesis: Utilisaation of physiotherapeutical procedures and methods in patients with the multiple sclerosis. Abstract of thesis: This work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The content of the firt part is a study of theoretical works related to multiple sclerosis. The main chapters are devoted to history of multiple sclerosis, the definition of why and how the disease arises, the types of disease, clinical presentation, diagnosis, therapy, desce incidence and complications that can occur to people with this disease. Finally, I looked at various physiotherapeutic procedurs and methods related to this disease. In the practical part of the thesis , a qualitatice research metod - cause study - was used. The research was conduted at the Center for demyelination disorders (MS center) at the Charles Square. The test set consisted of two probands with a diagnosis od cerebro-spinal multiple sclerosis, specifically of the relapsing - remitting form of disease. These diagnoses were determined by the attending physician of the probands. During the physiotherapy I used elements of the Bobath koncept. Usage of Bobath´s concept in adults

The thesis is focused on Berta and Karel Bobath´s kinesiotherapeutical approach {--} Bobath´s concept. Bobath´s concept is diagnostic-therapeutical approach which deals with problems of patients with disorders of function, movement and postural control due to a lesion of the central nervous system. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the clarifying of basic terms as: the history and the development of the concept, the theory of motor control, the problems of patients with the stroke, individual therapeutical tools of the concept, and a current view of Bobath´s concept.The goal of the thesis is to detect what is the current knowledge of this approach in physiotherapeuthical society. There was used the quantitative research method, the questioning survey with using the questionnaire. Target group of physiotherapists was 52.
