Chirality and its importance in environmental organic analysis
Svobodová, Dagmar ; Friedl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Čáslavský, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is elaborated as literature search focused on the characterization of chirality and its importance for the environment. This work also gives review of the analytical methods and procedures aplicable for the chiral analysis of the organic pollutants. Obtained information showed that the importance of the chirality in the environmental chemistry is great. Individual enantiomers exhibit different toxicity and biological activity in the environment and therefore their monitoring by chiral analytical methods is essential.
Question of new halogen containing compounds in environment
Roček, Richard ; Mravcová, Ludmila (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
The target of my bachelor´s thesis is fabrication of literary recherche on theme brominated flame retardants. Into this group belong primarily polybrominated diphenyl ethers and compound hexabromocyclododecane. These compounds belong to perzistent organic polutants, whose production grew to the late time. Nowadays there are occur in almost all part sof environment. For their determination is using liquid and gas chromatography methods connected with mass spectrometry detection.
Question of perfluorinated compounds in environmental compartments
Šima, Aleš ; Mravcová, Ludmila (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
The target of this bachelor work is processing of literature searche on the topic: Question of perfluorinated compounds in environmental compartments. The most important substances of the group of perfluorinated compounds are perfluorooctyl sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). Perfluorinated compounds have special physical and chemical properties, which make them valuable for usage in different industrial branches. These properties, which make them so useful are also the reason, why they are so harmful for the environment. The perfluoroalkyl chain is not affected by photolysis, hydrolysis or biodegradation. PFOS and PFOA are very persistent in the environment. The presence of the PFOS have been detected in liver, blood, muscle, kidney or brain of many animal species including the invertebrates over fish, amphibians, birds, mammals up to human being all over the world. An alarming fact is, that the high concentrations of PFOS have been found in arctic animals tissues far away from anthropogenic sources. Improved analytical techniques enabled scientists to take interest in perfluorinated compounds in more detail, which led to the identification of quite a number of these compounds. Nowadays there is an endeavour to eliminate the application of perfluorinated chemicals and replace them gradually by other compounds, which are better degradable and do not affect the environment.
Possibilities of identification of flavonoids in environmental matrixes
Magdechová, Andrea ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Inherent part of plants are active substances; flavonoids belong to this group. They are used in medicine, cosmetics and they shloud be a part of our diet because of their positive effects. This bachelor thesis is focused on the identification of flavonoids in selected types of coniferous trees and moss. Pines, firs and spruces were selected as the representants of coniferous trees, together with mosses Polytrichum formosum and Rhytidiadelphus subpinnatus. Flavonoids were isolated using liquid-liquid extraction and identified using thin layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography.
Wind power plant in area North Moravia
Pasírbková, Adéla ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (referee) ; Kotlík, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysis of wind parks from aspect of EIA, the annual capacity factor and the economy of operation. It shows the utilization of wind power in wind plants, wind potential of the Czech Republic and criteria for selection locations for construction wind plant. It describes the Act No. 100/2001 Coll., on environmental impact assessment, in which is the EIA process regulated. It analyses potential and real possibilities of wind power utilization in the North Moravian Region in connection with the Territorial Energy Policy.
Chromium and chromium species cycle in environment
Nevrlá, Jana ; Sommer, Lumír (referee) ; Dočekalová, Hana (advisor)
This work focuses in the first theoretical part mainly on the possibility of entering various forms of chromium into the environment, their accumulation and transformation in environmental compartments. There are also described methods of sampling for analytical determination of chromium, the type of treatment of these samples and the most analytical methodologies for the determination of chromium in the oxidation stage III and VI. The experimental part is focused on the quantitative determination of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) in waste water, taken from the neutralizatoin station of the Chemical faculty of Brno University of Technology, by using selected spectrophotometric methods and the obtained results are compared with the results of analytical determination of total chromium by atomic absorption spectrometry.
The implementation phase of gross upper structure of a department store
Jahodová, Martina ; Štěrba, Martin (referee) ; Venkrbec, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis comprises realization of a technical construction phase of the upper department store in Valašské Meziříčí. Thesis contents of a technological procedure of installing a load-bearing construction and roofing of the building, a construction site technical report, a concept of mechanical assemblies, an inspection and test plan, a statement of measures, a bill of quantities, a timetable, an occupational safety and environmental protection.
Analysis of Possibilities and Implementation of Grant Programms to Achieve Higher Energy Standard in Construction
Šíma, Zbyněk ; Hromádka, Vít (referee) ; Chovancová, Jitka (advisor)
The work addresses the issue of low-energy construction in the Czech Republic and mapping programs that are offered by the state and the European Union, designed to improve the technical and economic performance of buildings. This work also addresses the impact that these subsidy programs can have on the economic situation and the environment. The output will be treated overview of these capabilities in a simple table.
Microbrewery Highlands - technological phase basics
Horáková, Petra ; Kaňka, Pavel (referee) ; Vlčková, Jitka Laura (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to solve the technological phase of foundation for the object of a microbrewery “Vysočina”, to establish technological orders about earthworks and foundations. It applies in alternative way the two others methods of foundation and does their price and term evaluation. The other aim is to elaborate the documents of principles of organization of construction includes the graphical illustration of construction facilities and the movements of chosen composition of machines.
