Vliv fyzioterapie na rozvoj jemné motoriky ruky u pacientů s revmatoidní artritidou
MACHYNIAKOVÁ, Šárka
The subject of this thesis is mainly description of rheumatoid arthritis and physiotherapeutic possibilities of precisely developing hand motoring. The first objective was to describe the current possibilities of physiotherapy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, which were appropriately applied based on individual kinesiological analyses. Second goal was to build an effective exercise unit for developing fine motor skills in the hands area, based on objective and subjective information obtained from probands at the time of the research. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part described the disease itself, epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, clinical picture, elemental examination diagnosis, and detailed description of known types of therapy. Finally, I briefly described the anatomy and kinesiology of the upper limb plait. The second practical part I processed in the form of qualitative research. The research sample contained one man and two women aged 79 to 89. For all probands, I performed an initial kinesiological analysis, grip evaluation, and testing according to Jebsen - Taylor test. Based on the information gathered, I have set short-term goals and chosen appropriate physiotherapy methods to achieve these set goals. The practical part took place over three months. During this time, I visited patients once a week and adjusted the therapy as necessary. Finally, I performed an output kinesiological analysis, the results of which I compared with the input kinesiological analysis and performed an evaluation. Probands were advised to continue therapy by fulfilling the goals of the long-term rehabilitation plan. The information found indicates that regular therapy with appropriate exercise has a positive effect especially on increasing shoulder joint ranges, improving hand handling, pain relief, and overall psychological improvement of probands. This thesis can be used as educational material for healthcare professionals, medical students, the public, and especially for the sick or their loved ones.
The proper way of holding writing accessories regarding pre-school children
BERÁNKOVÁ, Tereza
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is the right form of holding writing accessories. Teachers nurture and automatize this base habit necessary for primary education in the pre-school years. The outcome of this thesis is to develop a list of activities based on games with which fixation of this habit, right grip, and development of fine motor skills can be achieved. The theoretical part focuses on general motor skill development concerning the children of pre-school years. Moreover, specifically, it deals with the approach which then leads to the grip, and after comes the correctness of the grip. Furthermore, it delves into the problem of laterality and leftism. The outcome of the theoretical part is the definition that postulates whether the advancement in writing motor skills is sufficient. The practical part summarises the results of the questionnaire which is then used as the base for the list of educational activities mentioned above. This list is also completed with the information acquired from vocational publications, internet sources, and other repositories.
Creation and Application of the grip test in patients after stroke
Filipová, Kateřina ; Svěcená, Kateřina (advisor) ; Svobodová, Tereza (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor's work was to create a grip test wich could be afterwards applied on patients after a stroke. An easy and time undemanding test was created whose evaluating standart is the number of achieved points. This test is used to find out the patient's functional condition in a grip area. It tests five kinds of grips. There evaluated stages of reaching, gripping, holding and releasing in each grip. The bachelor's work is divided into two parts: practical and theoretical. The theoretical part describes not only the impact of a stroke but olso the impact on the upper limb, hand and its functions and grips. It also describes testing and assessment. The practical part describes the time necessary to do the project, its realisation and application of the grip test on patients after stroke. This part also shows the results of testing. Key words: Stroke Assessment of hand grip Upper limb Grip test Grip
Methods of a grip evaluation after reconstructive surgery of the spastic hand
Pechová, Petra ; Fialová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Kövári, Martina (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to find out which areas of life of people with hand spasticity may affect the performance of reconstructive surgery. Furthermore, to determine which specific factors involved in the function and dysfunction of the upper limb in people with upper motor neuron syndrome can affect the results of the intervention, and what are the relationships between these factors. The group consisted of 13 people with cerebral type of spasticity. Subjects were examined preoperatively, three months after the intervention, and five months after the intervention. Operations were performed in the wrist-hand and elbow region. Subjects were examined repeatedly by some sensory modality, goniometry, Frenchay arm test, Score for visual evaluation of functional task of the hand, The QuickDASH, modified Ashworth Scale, modified Barthel Index and each person was classified according to The Manual Ability Classification System. There was an elbow contracture release and an improvement in an active motion in the wrist as result of the intervention. The results showed a statistically significant difference in some test scores Frenchay arm test, Score for visual evaluation of functional task of the hand, The QuickDASH and the modified Barthel Index before and after intervention. In a group of people with...

The intervention of occupational therapy in patients with impaired hand function after surgery
Neradová, Kateřina ; Oktábcová, Alice (advisor) ; Čábelková, Alžběta (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the surgical treatment of patients with hand impaired function and subsequent intervention of occupational therapy, and the patients who underwent this treatment. Thesis is divided into two parts-theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the function of the hand and the possibilities for its disorders. Subsequently, thesis describes the principles of surgical treatment of various diseases and hand injuries that impair its function. Another part relates to intervention of occupational therapist in patients who underwent surgical treatment of hand. The practical part contains two casuistries, methodology and processed results and discussion. The first casuistry deals with patient with carpal tunnel syndrome solved by surgery. The second casuistry deals with a patient with finger's flexor injury on the left upper limp. During processing has been found that occupational therapy is integral to rehabilitation after hand surgery. Occupational therapy helps to improve the function of the hand grip and the coordination of movement and it is important for gaining the greatest possible self- sufficiency of patients after surgical treatment of hand. At most workplaces, dealing with hand surgery, occupational therapy, however, is not part of rehabilitation,...

Dlasková, Lucie ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Maršáková, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Stereognosis assessment in the hands area of physiotherapy students. Objectives of work: The main objective of this dissertation is an evaluation of stereognosis functions of hands and also the influence from the practise of palpation skills on the stereognosis at a group of thirty physiotherapy students from the first-year bachelor's degree during two measurements at an interval of six months. Next aim is to compare results of these measurements and to evaluate potential changes. Methods: This dissertation work was made by form of clinical study. The evaluation criterion was time and perfection in performed tests. For the assessment of hand stereognosis at the research group were used 4 simple tests without using sight: test by Petrie - sort the balls by size, to recognise a foam made letters and to determine the roughness of sandpaper. Results: The results show that during the study of physiotherapy at students there has been a slight development in the stereognosis functions. The influence of somatosensory learning during the six months period helped to reduce the number of errors which have been made by probands while taking the assigned tests. Results indicate that regular and careful practise of palpation ability has a particular influence for development and improvement of...
