The aim of the thesis is to study and compare flexible forms of work in the Czech Republic and Switzerland from 2005 to 2014. The theoretical part defines basic terms of the labor market, major transformations of the current labor market and labor legislation of the Czech Republic and Switzerland. Horáková, Lucie ; Procházka, Pavel (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the standard of living in the countries of Visegrad group from 1989 until present. The text is divided into two parts- theoretical and analytical. At first the theoretical part refers to the term Visegrad group- what does it mean, why it was created, and what was the situation of its countries after the fall of the Communist regime in 1989. This part then continues with explaining the term standard of living and its selected means of measure from the economical and sociological point of view. The analytical part is then about the comparison itself. For each country there are graphs and tables that contain the variables used for the analysis that are explained at the end of each chapter. Every chapter also contains the factor analysis, that is used to show which of the variables were the most important for each country. The last chapter is comparison of all the countries.
Analysis of unemployment in the Liberec region between 2010–2014
Beránek, Hynek ; Kolman, Ondřej (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
This bachelor thesis analyses the unemployment in the Liberec Region between 2010 - 2014 and the associated effectivity of the state employment policy. The work aims to provide a complex analysis of the course of unemployment and to evaluate the most successful instruments of the active employment policy. The theoretical part defines the key concepts of the labour market, unemployment and the state employment policy. Because of a strong interconnection between the region and the manufacturing and glass industries, which were struck by the Great Recession, the unemployment rate has stayed quite high and above the average of the Czech Republic up to now. Furthermore, this fact is highlighted by the increase of the proportion of long-term unemployed individuals. Retraining and creation of socially purposeful jobs are among the most effective instruments of active employment policy according to the financial demands. The questionnaire survey shows that the employers expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the employment office and therefore that the employment office is effectively increasing the employment rate. As a conclusion the thesis points out the importance to focus on high-risk groups, especially the long-term unemployed.

Verner, Marek ; Kotýnková, Magdalena (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
This diploma thesis aims to analyze and evaluate the structure of the labour market in different economic cycles in the Czech Republic during 2004-2014 and compare reciprocity with German labour market, which is closest to the Czech. The theoretical part deals with general issues in the labour market, the economic cycle and the development of the global economic crisis. The work confirms the hypothesis that nowadays in 2014, four years after the economic crisis that hit the Czech economy in 2008-2010, the structure of the labour market in the Czech Republic has changed compared to the years before crisis. It also partially confirms the minor hypothesis that labour market indicators still haven´t reached the level which Czech Republic had before the crisis. The unemployment rate is still not at pre-crisis levels, but employment improved compared to 2008
Social aspects in the Czech tax system
Aubrechtová, Markéta ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the tax reliefs, focusing on direct taxes in the Czech Republic. First, I have chosen those tax reliefs that have a social element. The thesis deals with their evolution and their comparison with other countries. Furthermore, the thesis examines the tax reliefs in more detail in terms of their objectives, utilization, and efficiency conditions. This is achieved with using various tax load indicators and effective taxation, comparing costs and additionally also the views of experts. Generally, however, this issue lacks a comprehensive study and analysis, and thus also the particular data. Tax reliefs along with social benefits constitute a redistribution system. Their costs and impacts are different. At the beginning of the writing of this thesis, I thought that the tax system should primarily be transparent, simple, focusing on its primary fiscal function and should therefore be free of social politics. I have, however, changed my opinion, because it has turned out that the social tax elements have their positive specifics that are difficult and expensive to transport to the system of direct benefits.
