The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the psyche of teachers

Bachelor thesis titled The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the psyche of teachers contains theoretic part which is focused on emotions and work motivation of teachers and factors influencing them. This part also encompasses issue of online teaching and changes brought by the distance learning during COVID-19 pandemic. The empiric part presents research design and the data that were collected through semi-structured interviews with secondary school teachers and subsequently qualitatively processed.
The Historical Development of Vocalization Systems in Hebrew

The bachelor thesis deals with three systems of Hebrew vocalization that emerged in Palestine and Babylonia between the 7th and 10th centuries. These are the Palestinian and Babylonian supralinear system and the sublinear Tiberias system, which is still in use today. The Tiberias system in this thesis serves as a means of comparing the other two systems of Hebrew vocalization and is therefore discussed in detail and given the most attention in this thesis. This bachelor thesis aims to give an introduction to each of the systems of Hebrew vocalization and to point out the main differences between the systems. The thesis focuses on the historical development of the aforementioned vocalization systems and concludes by outlining the reasons why the Tiberias system eventually emerged as the dominant one.
Female characters in the novels Hija de la fortuna and Retrato en sepia by Isabel Allende

This bachelor's thesis focuses on female characters from the novels Hija de la fortuna and Retrato en sepia written by a Chilean author Isabel Allende. As one of the postboom period authors of the Hispano-American prose, Allende's work expresses signs of magical realism and feminism. This work analyzes the most important milestones in a woman's life and the perspective of the society regarding these milestones. The milestones are education, first period, first falling in love, first sexual intercourse, marriage, pregnancy, and work. These discussed topics are put into historical context of 19th and 20th century Chile, and into the context of the author's life, which had a great impact on her literary work. Emphasis is placed also on the position of women in Chilean society of the past and of today and on related topics.
Indian classical music: song in karnāṭak tradition

This diploma thesis disserts on Indian classical music which is generally divided into two main streams called hindustānī and karnāṭak. It starts with a brief introduction of the matter and definition of basic terminology that is associated with Indian music. Next, it introduces, by means of comparison, two main traditions, the principles on which they are build and musical instruments used in them. The theses then focuses on Indian song genres firstly from a theoretical point of view. Secondly, it presents a translation and analysis of several songs chosen from South Indian tradition karnāṭak. Freedom of artistic work and freedom of expression within the context of the European protection of human rights

The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the concept of the freedom of artistic creation and expression in the European Union law, in particular its recognition in primary law, above all in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (Charter), and in the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). Considering that interpretation of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the EU law is greatly based on constitutional traditions of EU member states and on the approach to these rights established within the Council of Europe, this thesis also deals with the conception of the freedom of artistic expression in constitutions of EU member states and in the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHR), as interpreted by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). While relevant case law of the CJEU is only fragmentary, it refers systematically to the extensive case law of the ECtHR, which provides comprehensive theory of the freedom of artistic expression in Europe and provides for studying the evolution of the conception in time. This translation bachelor thesis consists of a practical and a theoretical part. The practical part is the translation of a chosen chapter from the book Petit Atlas des Espces Menacées, written by a French biologist and publicist Yves Sciama. The theoretical one is a commentary on the translation which engages in analysis of the original text - it studies the character of the author, the intended reader, the edition in which the book was released, etc. Next the commentary describes the typology of translational problems on the lexical, syntactic, stylistic, grammatical, and text level. It is followed by a discussion over the method of translation and characteristics of the used translational techniques (transposition, modulation, concentration) supported by concrete examples. It is concluded by a description of graphical design of the text.

This thesis examines how can be sponsoring used in the financial area, especially in the insurance business. Definition of sponsoring as one of the tools of commercial communication is given and also the specifics of sponsoring in the financial area are described. This thesis also presents the main sponsored project of Kooperativa insurace company, especially it distinguishes the project of International music festival in Český Krumlov. There are also some suggestions for future improvement in this thesis.
