The bachelor thesis is focused on the decrease of pollinator insects in the landscape. The majority of the thesis is dedicated to the bees. The thesis is focused on the decrease of pollinating insects both within the global and local context in the Czech Republic. Literary research examines the causes and effects of the decrease but also the steps to undertake within the protection, recommendations, measures and different approach towards pollinator insects. The research itself is defined by the location Brno-venkov and the whole research is dedicated only to the bees. The research is carried out by the method of semi-structured interviews with beekeepers. The interviews examine the subjective view of the issue and also whether the beekeepers themselves registered the decline of their hives and how they approached it. The research shows that beekeepers themselves do not observe a decrease in the long run, on the contrary, there has been an increase in the number of hives. However, the decrease of pollinators insects, in general, was observed by several respondents, most of them were species of bumblebees and butterflies. Several beekeepers mentioned poor or insufficient cooperation with farmers, agricultural chemistry and a ruthless approach to the environment.

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Anna Pokorná Supervisor: PhDr. Markéta Gerlichová, PhD. Title: Application of the rhythmic auditory stimulation in training of paretic upper limb Abstract: My bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part and its topic is the use of rhythmic auditory stimulation in patients after a stroke. In the theoretical part in the first chapter I deal with the problems of stroke, its origin, manifestations, diagnostics, consequences and possibilities of rehabilitation treatment. In the next part I deal with the function of the hand and fine motor skills due to the focus of the practical part mainly on the paretic upper limb. In the music therapy chapter I characterize the general principles of this therapeutic field, I also deal with for example the effect of music on human body and the use of music therapy in health care. At the end of this chapter I describe the principles of neurological music therapy and the rhythmic auditory stimulation itself. The practical part presents three case reports of patients after a stroke with motor problems in the upper limb. In addition to the kinesiological and neurological examinations I also tested all patients using the Ashworth scale and the Modified Frenchay scale. Elements of rhythmic auditory stimulation were used in...
Influence of spasticity in patients with multiple sclerosis using method of electrical stimulation according to Jantsch
Pokorná, Anna ; Kövári, Martina (advisor) ; Kříž, Jiří (referee)
The electrical stimulation (ES) according to Jantsch was created with a primary aim to reduce spasticity, however its impact has been neither proved nor disproved by any study. Therefore, the aim of the thesis is to find out if this type of the ES can reduce spasticity of m. triceps surae within the patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). Apart from the spasticity, there was as well observed the influence of the ES on an active movement performed by the antagonists of spastic muscle and the walking speed. Fifteen probands participated in our pilot controlled non- randomized study, probands were divided into two groups - first with the application of the ES (STIM) and second without the application of the ES (NOSTIM) during the hospitalization. We used the concept of Jean-Michel Graciese - Five-step clinical assessment in spastic paresis during the examination process. From this protocol, we choose Tardieu scale to measure spasticity, examination to measure active range of motion and 10MWT. Furthermore, TUG was added. The measurements took place on the 1st, 4th and 8th day of the hospitalization. The intragroup difference was evaluated by the ANOVA for repetitive measures with Fisher's post- hoc test and the level of importance p=0.05. From acquired data it follows that the ES according to Jantsch...

Pokorná, Anna ; Jeníček, Jakub (advisor) ; Tichá, Monika (referee)
Title: The use of electrotherapy to influence spasticity in patients after stroke Abstract: The theme of bachelor thesis is the use of electrotherapy to influence spasticity in pacients after stroke. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part there is described the issue concerning stroke, regulation of muscles tention and spasticity. Mostly there is stated performed research of accessible literary sources on the theme electrotherapy with antispastic effect. These findings come out mostly of the results of foreign studies, which are being mutually compared. Pratical part contains of two case reports of patients, who suffered a stroke and spasticity m. triceps surae has occured in them. On the concrete muscle the stimulation according to Janstch is being applicated for five days. The impact on spasticity is being observed, the spasticity had been examined by using the scale Five-step clinical assessment according to Gracies before the first therapy and instantly after the fifth therapy. Further the changes of parameters, which are desribed by the stated scale, had been observed. The aim of the thesis is to summarize and enrich the issue at the same time and on the basis of the results of own therapy to evaluate the impact of electrotherapy. Key words: stroke,...
Zionist without Zeal: Imagination and Performance of Transnational Belonging
Pokorná, Anna ; Ezzeddine, Petra (advisor) ; Halbich, Marek (referee) ; Szaló, Csaba (referee)
This dissertation based on a fieldwork conducted among Czech Jewish youth during a ten-days educational touristic program Taglit-Birthright explores production of transnational space of mutual belonging. The transnational belonging to Jewish collective is produced through particular physical space of Israel through practice of tourism in collective constructed by the programme as a collective of common origin based on "blood ties". I examine participants' tourist bodily experience, performances, emotions and attitudes as a site of production and reproduction of transnational space using a concept of embodiment as ways in which the individual grasps the world around him/her and makes sense of it in ways that engage both body and mind. Transnational space created throughout the programme becomes socially constructed emotional category of "ahavat Israel", "love for Israel" that might conceal its political implications. Keywords: Transnationalism, diaspora, tourism, embodiment, Jewish youth, Taglit-Birthright, Czech Republic, Israel
Intergenerational programs realized by persons over 50 years of age in other people's families
Pokorná, Anna ; Matoušek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (referee)
This bachelor thesis will focus on the topics of intergenerational programs realized by people over 50 years in different families. The theoretical part characterizes families who have a need for intergenerational contact with other people. It will clarify the needs and advantages of the generation over 50 years. It will also describe the general features of intergenerational programs and explain their history. The practical part will mainly deal with the 3G-three generation program and compare its variants in the Czech Republic. The vision of this program is to connect people over the age of 50 with other families for a long-term friendly intergenerational relationship and mutual assistance. The main issue that this bachelor thesis will focus on is the difference in program delivery depending on local conditions. Furthermore, it will compare the Prague center with other centers in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, qualitative research will be conducted based on the interviews. Finally, recommendations will be offered for its further development in the Czech Republic.
Central Bank Communication and Systemic Stress
Pokorná, Anna ; Horváth, Roman (advisor) ; Jakubík, Petr (referee)
This thesis aims to examine the effect of European Central Bank's (ECB) oral communication on the financial systemic stress in the euro area. It considers ad-hoc speeches and interviews by the members of the ECB Governing Coun- cil as well as official press conferences between July 2008 and January 2014. The empirical analysis tests the effects of communication intensity and senti- ment and whether they differ in different stress regimes. Regression results of ARIMA based models and Threshold auto-regressive model suggest that oc- currence of official press conference increases the systemic stress, sentiment of communication matters only in the case of the ad-hoc speeches and interviews, but mainly that both the official and unofficial oral communication have a con- siderably stronger effect in periods of heightened systemic stress. Although the estimated effects are rather small, this thesis provides support for the hypoth- esis that ECB communication can affect the systemic stress. i
