This work deals with the employment of representatives of a selected group of socially disadvantaged persons on the labor market, implemented through civil society organizations. The aim of the work is to find out whether support for people with disabilities is evenly distributed in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part brings knowledge and characteristics of several terms connected with the topic of the diploma thesis. The empirical part is processed in the form of quantitative research with the aim of finding out how support for people with disabilities is evenly distributed in the Czech Republic and possibly pointing out places where there is no such organization in the immediate vicinity or where is no project implemented there. The life motives of philanthropists leading to bequeathed donations for charitable purposes

The thesis deals with the motives of philanthropists who made a bequest in their will with charitable purposes. The objective of the work is to describe the issue of donation in the form of such a bequest in a will and the approach of society to this kind of donation. The theoretical part introduces the characteristics of individual donation, philanthropy and donation by will. The practical part is processed in the form of qualitative research with the aim of finding out and understanding the reasons and motives that led philanthropists to make such a decision. Reasons and motives were explored based on semi-structured interviews with narrative elements with four respondents. The identified reasons and motives for donation in the form of a bequest relate to arguments related to donation, credibility, information, purpose and responsibility.
Therapeutic character of social agriculture

The aim of the thesis is to describe the therapeutic character of social farming. Social farming is a relatively new and dynamic field of the social economy. The thesis examines the therapeutic nature of social farms in terms of meeting human needs. It is a type of social entrepreneurship, the therapeutic aspects of which will be explored in a selected social farm through a case study. The aim of the thesis is to describe the effects that social farming has on its clients from a therapeutic point of view. The theoretical part presents a basis for describing the relationship between human and nature, that has positive psychological effects on human mental health. It also opens up concepts such as Green care, animal-assisted therapy, horticultural therapy, multifunctional agriculture and other. The empirical part explores life on a specific farm in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on the clients themselves who are employees of the social entrepreneurship through the lens of the therapeutic aspect of particular social farm. Eliška Urbanová, abstract of thesis: Pupil participation as a way of education for democratic citizenship. Obstacles of its development and their successful overcoming. Abstract The curricular documents of many democratic states, including the Czech Republic, require schools to develop pupils' competences for democratic culture. The results of the international comparative research show that Czech pupils are above the average at the level of knowledge, but below the average in the area of skills and attitudes. Because skill and attitude component can be strengthened by pupil participation, its implementation in Czech schools probably fails to be effective. The purpose of this thesis is to detect possible obstacles in the implementation of pupil participation at the level of school culture and at the level of structure of schools and education system, and examine what can help overcome these obstacles. Methods: The research was carried out in the form of a multiple holistic case study of three schools that have extensive experience with pupil participation. In-depth interviews with thirty teachers and the study of school documents took place. Parental awareness of the issues of governmental and NGOs working in a legal protection of children in the town of Zlín"

This graduation thesis is focused on a social law protection of children and organization working in this field in town of Zlín. The thesis is consisted of a theoretic and empiric part. The theoretic section explains concept of nonprofit nongovernmental organization (NGO), its operation and interrelationship of state and non-state nonprofit sector. The empiric part contains an implementation of document analysis, a research and an evaluation of results. The document analysis takes in social law protection of children and subsumes individual institution ingaged in given issues and its services. The follow-up research analyzes a mothers' awareness of governmental and NGO working in social law protection of children. Furthermore it ascertain facts about individual institution and their ability to distinquish them. The research also checks the information related to powers of national and NGO and statutory duty to those subjects. In conclusion there are some recommendations for educational institution, state institution of social law protecition of children and NGOs, how to spread information of this fieal and use their services in this field.
Civic Engagement of Women Who Shop Ethically

The diploma thesis focuses on ethical consumerism and its impact on the civic engagement of young women. Ethical consumerism, which includes, for example, boycott and buycott of products and services, is gaining momentum in the downfall of formal civic engagement. Citizens move to the market where they apply their ethical principles of noneconomic character. Their consumer choices are motivated by publicly beneficial motives. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis defines both civic society and its civic participation, and ethical consumerism. The theory of ethical consumerism addresses the definitions of basic concepts, the change in the political climate, which has allowed the expansion of ethical consumerism and the gender aspect of this phenomenon. The research focuses specifically on young women who live in Prague and regularly shop ethically, and their participation in civic engagement before and after becoming ethical consumers. From the data gathered, it was found out upon which products the informants exercised their ethical consumption, the representation of socio-economical, environmental and political motives and how they formally and informally engage in civil society. Analysis of the specifics of the nonprofit sector by grounded theory

This thesis focuses on the specifics of the non-profit sector from the perspective of World of Difference's participants. The program World of Difference allows experts from business and government to spend one year in selected non-profit organization. The aim is to answer the question: "What specific features of the non-profit sector perceive World of Difference's participants differently compared with the profit sector?" The answer to the question was based on the method grounded theory, the data were collected through interviews with World of Difference's participants. The result of the research is nine specifics - ethos, motivation, resources, hierarchy, rules, efficiency, flexibility, language and professionalism. The central category consists of ethos, which is further composed of the principle of democracy, humanism and chaos. These specifics form the cornerstone of the grounded theory.
